My house/Zoflora

1000 replies

TheLionQueen · 20/10/2016 11:28

Posting here for traffic.
My house is a bit horrid. I have pets and a messy DH (who does get on board when I have a proper 'spruce' but doesn't notice the daily grime). I can keep on top of genuine rubbish but clutter builds easily. I know nobody can sort this out for me and I am working on it.
What bothers me most is smell. Although it's clean ish, it doesn't smell fresh. I do open windows for a bit every day.
I bought some miracle potion Zoflora yesterday and already mop the floors with it. I want to know what I can do with it as almost like a reed diffuser/air freshener?
I don't put the heating on much (have a log burner) so don't think putting it on radiators would work. I do hoover relatively regularly so can try the cotton wool trick. Anything else I could try? Is it really safe to spray on curtains? Any other tips for a pet household for smell? Thanks in advance!

This made me giggle. My mum LOVES this stuff and I loathe it. I hate the smell and it's so synthetic it makes me gag. Anyway....I do use it with bleach in my bucket to scrub the floors. If you'd like to wipe the radiators down - try an essential oil, they have a strong smell but aren't as harsh or bad for you to breathe constantly.

DH: er LionQueen, why does it smell like perfume in the kitchen?
Me: oh I don't know, how odd

Will Zoflora help improve the smell of my pre-teens bedroom?!!!
I was thinking of just getting a plug in freshener.
Any tips greatly appreciated. 💐

Popsicle789 100 times yes. In fact, surreptitiously spray the offending pre-teen with zoflora upon entry to your house. Cut out the middle man Grin

(obviously don't actually do this)

In all seriousness, yes. It's magical.

I spent last night reading this thread and bought three bottles of Zoffy* today. The orange and cranberry smells amazing!

*I know that saying "Zoffy" makes me sound like a wanker. But Zoffy sounds like an expensive champagne, and I think that's apt.

TheLionQueen · 23/11/2016 21:34

Oh I quite like Zoffy as an alternative to zoflo actually!
I ought to use up my current stocks before buying more but I'm getting twitchy.
Maybe a mad cleaning session tomorrow to deplete it a bit...
Hope your DH is better soon Curbside better to be safe than sorry with the germs!

Oooo I feel like Santa came early. I had my online shop delivered last night. I had sneaked a couple of bottles in there, as you do. Cherry Blossom and Twilight Garden. I was delighted to find instead a bottle of Twilight Garden a bottle of beloved Linen and a bonus massive bottle of the new Summer Breeze. It's gorgeous and free! No idea how it happened but I think Asda must love me a little bit. DH couldn't believe how stupidly happy I was all evening! Grin. Thank you Asda it's like a Christmas miracle.

Right, I'm intrigued.. I'm heading into town today to Wilkos to see what flavours they've got.

Hi Popsicle the festive " winter morning " is beautiful but seems to only be available in supermarkets.
Previously my favourites were always " bouquet " and " country gargen " but I'm sure you will have a good old sniff and find one you like.
Beware- it's addictive Grin

You lucky thing babynugget I like the sound of Summer Breeze! What's it like?

Summer breeze is very fresh. It's not too flowery like bouquet but has the same perfumery undertones as fresh linen. I've not used it yet but the bottle is massive so I'll be able to slosh it about quite liberally!

Ok, I'm off sick with a cold but plan to feel better by midday. What are your Zoffy tips for preventing the further spread of my germs?

Report
TheLionQueen · 25/11/2016 09:29

Oh that sounds lovely! Will have to look out for it. Going to my cleaning job today so will take my stash with me. I forgot it last time and really noticed the difference!
tired linen is my favourite so far too!
Red I'd get some diluted in a bowl and give everything a good wipe down with it for germs. Maybe pop a capful in the wash with your sheets?

Thanks Lion, I should have thought about that when I made a fresh bed yesterday. I'm going to make a start on the bathroom now...

I love green valley- it's possibly taking over linen as my favourite! Did the towels with it today, had to put them to dry in the spare room which now smells lovely!

Come on you lot. I detect a bit of flagging on the zoflora front. You are all probably sitting there on the sofa scoffing Christmas chocolates while your floors are neglected and unscented.

It is now December which means that the entire house must reek of Winter Spice.

It is The Law.

And I am on the case.

Can I spray Zoflora on the artificial flowers for my wedding center pieces? It's in a village hall and the venue smells like... well like a village hall. WIBU to Zoflora the crap out of it? Grin
