My house/Zoflora

Posting here for traffic.
My house is a bit horrid. I have pets and a messy DH (who does get on board when I have a proper 'spruce' but doesn't notice the daily grime). I can keep on top of genuine rubbish but clutter builds easily. I know nobody can sort this out for me and I am working on it.
What bothers me most is smell. Although it's clean ish, it doesn't smell fresh. I do open windows for a bit every day.
I bought some miracle potion Zoflora yesterday and already mop the floors with it. I want to know what I can do with it as almost like a reed diffuser/air freshener?
I don't put the heating on much (have a log burner) so don't think putting it on radiators would work. I do hoover relatively regularly so can try the cotton wool trick. Anything else I could try? Is it really safe to spray on curtains? Any other tips for a pet household for smell? Thanks in advance!

frouby you're a zoflora hero, officially

I have been known to put it in when I wash dh pants so they come out fresh... Not that they stay fresh for long when he's wearing them 🙄

Mozfan1 Ah ok, thanks, I will try that!

I've just got into it. When the bin is emptied we use a couple of drops on kitchen roll to wipe the lid, outside of the bin and the pedal then drop it into the new bin bag to keep it smelling fresh.
I might put a bit in the spray mop to do the bathroom floor, the cat never goes in there!

I've just stuck the washing machine on a 90C cleaning cycle with a couple of capfuls of cherry blossom zoflora in it. Smells lovely.

I dilute it with hot water in the window washer thingy, then do the frames with a microfibres cloth, they come up brilliantly with very little effort.

Oh I an glad I started this, so many good ideas!
I've been procrastinating writing for an hour or so but might go back to zofloraing, it's so much more satisfying.
Downstairs now smells lovely, upstairs not so much. Bloody animals. Think I might try it on the radiator and just put the heating on for a bit.
Looking forward to trying new flavours, especially winter ones!
Will wipe down the skirting boards on the landing next and maybe the bathroom door.
Oh I've done the vac filter too, looking forward to seeing if it makes a difference!
I was surprised when it went cloudy after diluting!

Please dont use Zoflora or detergents on your pet bedding, its not safe for them. Use soap and O2 laundry bleach, (Oxygen bleach is the common term for sodium percarbonate, a compound of natural soda crystals and hydrogen peroxide.) Dr in the sunlight or tumble dryer.
Its pet safe, eco friendly and you can get it in the pound shops.

Essential oils work on your vacuum filter.

zolfora say that its safe to use on pet bedding and catlit trays as long as its diluted and dry before you let them near it.

jelly ive been using it on pet bedding for 6 years, my dogs are fine 🙄

It's only when it's wet it's dangerous.

DP uses zoflora for work but I've never thought to nick a bottle for household stuff. I love when the house smells really nice and usually have oil burners going but like the idea of cleaning everything with zoflora.

Thanks for the heads up Jelly
I can't wash any bedding really but might be useful for others to know.
It smells so CLEAN!
I'm going to do my bathroom with it now then enjoy a long soak for all my efforts Grin

I use a small amount of washing powder on the dog's bedding and then the Zoflora in the fabric conditioner slot. It all gets rinsed properly and then dried before the dog lies on it again. Been doing it for a long time.

If detergents and disinfectants aren't safe for pet bedding, they're surely not safe for human bedding?

I use it for floors, kitchen tops, the bath, basin, and the outside of the loo. It definitely feels less chemically than dettol, i like cleaning with it knowing its not going to stain my clothes like dettol can do. I don't find the fragrances too harsh to be honest. Certainly no more so than your standard room freshner. I'm a relatively new covert to zoflora so i'm liking working my way through the different fragrances so far. Its completely made dettol redundant in my house and i guess it could also make my glade plug ins redundant too but i like having the abilty to just switch them on and off when needed without actually cleaning Grin

The lavender one smells nothing like lavender - it's rank. I wish I hadn't bought a big bottle of it!

It has got rid of the stale water smell in my washing machine though and works wonders on stinky rugby kit.

I've just added it to my online shop because of this thread, I keep reading about it on here and have been tempted but this has just persuaded me. I am so excited Blush Annoyingly I can't choose what flavour arrives but I'm hoping for linen.

I just popped into Tesco for some bread and had to treat myself to these beauties Blush I think DH thinks a Zoflora intervention is required!

Has anyone tried mixing it with a mix of water and white vinegar instead of just water to give it extra cleaning power? Or will the vinegar distort the smell?

What do we reckon about a spritz on the mattress? Would need to be a warm room with windows open to dry I suppose.
I've put some on cotton wool and stuffed it down the back of the radiator- you know the bit where all the fluff gathers, hoping it doesn't combust or anything!
Hopefully that will help a bit when I put the heating on.
DH has thrown my old diffuser- so much for him being the messy one Blush
Will use it in the washing machine next!

Its too watery to clean the inside of the loo for my liking, and its only a disinfectant so doesn't actually remove dirt.

I love the apple orchard one. I generally put a few drops in some hot water and leave it in the sink all day. It keeps the whole kitchen area smelling lovely all day and then disinfects the sink when I take the plug out when its time to prepare diner.

Ahh Zoflora how I love thee, let me count the ways......
Yep, I have it bad, I really blame MN because it just wasn't on my rada until a few months ago and now I get through a few little bottles a week. I even bought the limited edition Christmassy one a few weeks to keep until December. Dh said why did you buy more you already have some and so I explained I was saving it until the decs go up and even to my mind it sounded a little a bit much so very happy to be amongst my crew!Smile But some of these flavours are making a bit twitchy, cherry blossom, Apple?!? My God what if you just can't get them in Wales, I 've never seen them, what if if we have to move just so I can easily ge. ...........
