Ta das
Unloaded loaded dishwasher
Quick tidy up kitchen and living room
Emptied kitchen bin bathroom bin and nappy bin

We've been at toddler group this morning and then it was lunch and nap time for toddler (baby is also asleep although seems to be stirring so not sure how long this peace will last!!) so haven't got much done so far. The planning thing I don't have anything to plan really...not sure I get that one! I do meal plan but I do it on a Friday to tie in with my food shop. Anyway I'm going to ignore it!

To do
My bedroom is fairly decluttered but it needs a quick tidy
There isn't a clothes mountain in my room right now apart from a few bits of dh which I can put to wash so I think I'll tackle the ironing pile mountain instead!
Take stuff on the stairs upstairs and put away
Laundry
Ring GP
Make dinner
Make banana bread

Right now though I'm back feeding the baby again! Good job I made a cup of tea before I sat down.

foxessocks · 20/09/2016 14:22

Oh and strip the beds I really need to do that!!

Cagliostro · 20/09/2016 16:24

We've sorted a few more bits to get rid of today :)

Greymalkin · 20/09/2016 18:06

Hello again everyone,

Yippee please don't be scared by the thread - we all do our own thing vaguely using the FlyLady system. As you can see above, Foxes has adapted the system as she goes along.
If it helps, start by spending 15 minutes in this week's zone (the master bedroom) declutter and put things back in their proper places. If you feel like it, have a look at the missions in the links.
Oh, and welcome!

Lol Pauline - I'm so wrapped up with uni work at the moment that I have to do the round ups for my own benefit as much as everyone else! There are so many new fledglings this month, its great! But will take a couple of weeks to remember everyone properly.

More Ta Das
Folded and put away two loads of dry laundry
Hung up two lots of wet laundry
Prepped laundry for tomorrow
Hoovered the sofas and the living room
Emptied dishwasher again
Washed the spacers for DS's inhalers
Put the recycling out for collection tomorrow
Made dinner ready for later
Fed cats
Finished another batch of uni reading
Collected DS from nursery

Ta das
Made apple and pear loaf (instead of the planned banana bread as they had actually gone completely mouldy not just nice and soft as i had thought!) We had apples and pears from my mum's garden to use up and I couldn't disappoint dd as she was very excited about baking today.
Made dinner and cleaned up kitchen
Took stuff upstairs and put away
Put away laundry and put more on
Tidied bedroom
Stripped beds (dh can make them!)

Still to do
Ring GP must try and do this tomorrow!
Ironing

Calm.slow, quiet voice"I don't need to see your rage.go upstairs til it's gone please "age ranted,I repeated.and repeated.eventually she stomp off upstairs,I felt very satisfied with myself.partly fir not screaming back, partly cos I got what I wanted and she really hated me talking like that too her and not responding if you have stress kids I hope you will understand that I sometimes get pleasure from small strange things!!

Links for Wednesday 21st September: Here is the Launch Pad with all the basic information.

Baby step number twenty one: email FlyLady a question Hmm You will get a much better response if you ask any questions on this thread!

Wednesday is Anti-procrastination day - pick a task you have been putting off, roll your sleeves up and take the bull by its horns!

We are in Zone 4, The Master Bedroom aka, The Boudoir. Spend 15 minutes decluttering here. If you have finished decluttering here is the detailed cleaning list

The next mission this week is to tidy up the floors of your wardrobes and cupboards.

Our habit of the month is establishing a Before Bed Routine This is actually a really good habit to develop, as many of us can vouch for.

And a little bonus feature for this month: FlyLady's back to school tips

Thank you very much Greymalkin for the warm welcome. I spent 15 mins sorting stuff in the bedroom today and Mr Yippee looked a bit scared when he saw the transformation so it must have made a difference Grin

I'm going to try to stick to the weekly missions from now till Christmas so when we get the Christmas decorations out there's actually clean surfaces to put them on! Fingers crossed anyway.

How many different zones ares there?

Cagliostro · 20/09/2016 23:55

Decent day here. Certainly not as productive but still we got rid of some stuff. Family fun too trying out my latest card game purchase. :)

Cagliostro · 20/09/2016 23:56

5 zones I think?
Entrance living room kitchen bathroom bedroom?

pontificationcentral · 21/09/2016 02:13

Ha ha grey - I handed in my uni payment plan form today! Monthly payments for 7 mos sounds much better than forking it all out at once!

And zoo! I cleaned dog drool off the windows yesterday! We can be beast drool buddies!

No flying yet today. I left the house at 6.30am and just got back, so suspect tonight will be a minimal load in the dishwasher and staring blankly at the tv before falling asleep on the sofa.

But tomorrow I have the day off! It's also dd2's birthday - my last baby becomes a teenager... so I suspect there will be baking on the horizon as well.

celeste83 · 21/09/2016 06:44

Morning. Very early post for me but i've been up for most of the night. Yesterday afternoon i suddenly came down with severe abdominal pains which turned out to be renal colic. Got sent home from a&e early evening but pains came back in the early hours of this morning and had to go back in to a&e. Back home again now but am knackered. Its going to be a long day!

Great ta da lists grey and foxes alongside uni work and young baby + yummy sounding apple & pear loaf respectively. Great list from Zoo as usual. Well done on the temper control too. Hi Yippy I find the whole flybaby thing confusing too but i have a fairly set routine of the basic chores so just use the mission targets to do the things i would never think of or are long overdue. Please don't mention the 'C' word until at least November though Grin I'm one of those last minute people Blush

Need to go i can hear the binmen trundling down the road and i haven't put them out yet!

foxessocks · 21/09/2016 08:02

Get well soon Celeste

Stilllivinginazoo · 21/09/2016 08:05

celeste83 · 21/09/2016 08:24

Thanks. I've had two doses of morphine and had a finger stuck up my bum twice but i am currently in no pain. Just tired. I'll carry on and be calm as us Mums always do! It didn't half hurt though at the time!

Salutarychoring · 21/09/2016 09:22

[SC staggers on to thread .... peers at screen blearily]

Salve/salut/dag!

Celeste so sorry to hear about your trips to A & E; renal colic sounds awful! Hope you have received proper treatment and they haven't jsut fobbed you off. Wishing you a speedy recovery [flowes] Hope you can rest up today!

Thanks for links Grey and congrats on ta das! (Well done for managing to Fly in addition to child-rearing/potty-training, keeping on top of this thread and all your uni reading!) Relieved to learn that I cannot be a psychotic housewife but only in as much as I don't do enough housework to qualify Grin

Good luck to those of you potty-training - I remember when I was potty-training dd that she had it about 80% right but I was worried because she was going to nursery - but that turned out to be a very good thing which finally "fixed it" because they all really enjoyed sitting in a line on the tiny lavs together Grin Peer pressure can be a wonderful thing sometimes Smile

A warm welcome to YippeeTeenager here is a bit of zone info. Great idea about doing missions in time for [whispers] Christmas. Don't be worried by the system - you don't need to understand all of it at the beginning - it sort of starts to click and make sense as you go along. If nothing else just do a baby-step + 15 mins of decluttering in current zone to start with and it will all soon fall in to place I promise!

Waves to PaulineFowlers Blue

Pont Congratulations (and sympathies!) on your young 'un entering teenage-hood! It's a very bitter-sweet feeling isn't it? Hope she had a lovely birthday!

Stillliving Star for multiple lists and hope electrician survived any surprises Grin I need to learn from your example re: screech lowering as I can be very shouty Blush but in my defence that is only when I have asked nicely and calmly about 11 million times first [grrrrrr] (DD is finding school very tough atm and I am understandably her main outlet for frustration.) Intrigued by your reference to Washington but just being nosey.

Still and Pont Grin at drool cleaning buddies! Furry one here doesn't drool but does leave a rather charming pattern of nose prints on my car window.

Crikey Foxes! Think you deserve a medal for baking and attending toddler group so soon after giving birth! So here's a Star instead!

That's a good question about ironing btw! I don't think Flylady mentions it much does she (well only in relation to folding things straight out of the tumble dryer).

Your steady, consistent sorting and decluttering has not gone unnoticed Cag Star

Toostressy Hope job interview went well! Agree about doing things for the next day (such as laying out clothes/sorting stuff for errands/getting relevant papers together) during the day and not last thing at night. If I leave if until after dinner, then it often doesn't get done Blush

Top marks for multi-tasking Fencingwire!

A very warm welcome also to Pinkoneblueone Outputgap and JustPeachy!

Take it steady Furble!

Big waves to Honu Toffee Dogsbum Feetheart Shannara and anyone else I have missed!

Just (finally) recovering from weekend of entertaining! Saturday went very well in the end but was v stressful as I had left everything far too much to last minute despite good intentions. Did most of clearing up afterwards but took me until 3am or so! Sunday was car-free day and we had a lovely time walking and cycling around in the sunshine and had friends back for picnic type late lunch (cooked early morning).

Still had clearing up to finish on Monday plus lots of office admin. And yesterday was spent doing laundry, doing final, final bits of tidying up and attending dog-training session that I found so exhausting for some reason that I collapsed on my bed afterwards fully clothed and woke up two hours later!! I don't know why but trainer is quite, um, emphatic and one's every gesture, hand movement and word is analysed and commented upon and it is all quite intense somehow, and I am on tenter-hooks wondering how furry one is going to behave.

Positives: garden and downstairs are still in "guest ready" state and I am extremely happy that I was able to do all the above at the weekend and my back seems to have survived!

So just starting week properly now really - and new diet and fitness regime - again Blush

Ta da:
found old cotton t-shirt for dd (to use as art cloth)
animals
polished stove
wiped down kitchen surfaces
put out garden rubbish for collection
emptied out paper recycling bin
emptied and filled dw
s & s
triaged laundry
fed td and washing machines
dog walk

To do:
finance letters
prep dh's shirts for washing
hang up dd washing
think of something for supper and prep
brisk walk
diet chart
find and re-active pedometer
find "walking for fitness" book
find and prep and parcel up dd's oid clothes for niece

Big news is that our house is being valued in the next week or so (for financial reasons) so I have a hard task ahead getting home office sorted!

Have a good day everyone!

Salutarychoring · 21/09/2016 09:23

Oh poor you Celeste (that was meant to be flowers I was presenting you with earlier btw ... trying again ... Flowers )

Cagliostro · 21/09/2016 10:00

Oh no Celeste! Hope you feel better soon.

celeste83 · 21/09/2016 10:13

I think they did sort of fob me off first time round. Hence i returned again late last night for the second time. To be fair they probably need the beds. They say the stones should have passed through my tubes by now though. Pain is definitely gone now so hopefully thats it...
