Woo hoo! It's the second Bullet Journal thread! For the benefit of newbies - Bullet Journal is a brilliant way to organise your whole life in a lovely notebook. Perfect for anyone who has tried every app and every scheduling system but just can't seem to get on top of things. Also perfect for lovers of beautiful stationery and especially for people who like lists!

Sooo - get out your fineliners and your washi tape! Stroke your Leuchtturms! And get all that stuff that's whizzing round in your head out onto paper instead!

That's very cool. DS is using one for his homework. Would be funny to make it disappear and tell him he has to do it again. Grin

SoupDragon · 23/04/2016 12:30

I'm thinking of taking one on holiday this summer just to see if the hot sun makes it vanish.

Trickymoments · 23/04/2016 13:30

I love the look of that filofax notebook. Has anyone got one?

I've been trying to Bujo but when I do daily to do list I like to be able to just do it on a bit of paper so I can carry it around the house easily or stick it in my pocket. The filofax notebook would allow me to do that.
I find my bujo notebook a bit cumbersome at times which puts me off using it.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 23/04/2016 14:52

I have that problem too Tricky. I'm keeping all food related info in a separate book with tear out pages for shopping lists and anything else I need to know on the go goes on my phone, I use reminders and lists on there a lot.

Babieseverywhere · 24/04/2016 07:55

I have a mini bujo aka very small notebook which I use to write out my shopping lists and out of the house to do lists. This one I carry out of the house and I tear out used pages and bin them. My main BuJo rarely leaves the house.

SoupDragon · 24/04/2016 09:05

I use Post It notes a lot. I did notice, accidentally in passing and not during a thorough browsing, that Paperchase has sort of notebooks of really pretty ones all in different sizes.... I was very very good and didn't buy any.

Trickymoments · 25/04/2016 13:56

I've only gone & bought the filofax clipbook notebook someone mentioned above. I love it!! Slightly worried I have a notebook addiction..

AbelMancwitch · 25/04/2016 13:59

My job for the day is to update mine

BendydickCuminsnatch · 25/04/2016 14:42

Oh I loooooove those Filofax notebooks! Not seen them before, great idea.

I'm just setting out this week after a week off last week. Need to get back on track with my life in general, not just BuJo! 😄

prokupatuskrakedatus · 25/04/2016 19:46

I've abandoned my Moleskine daily.
I've been using my bright orange Leuchtturm with orange pen loop for 5 weeks now. It's not (no longer) pretty and not quite right yet.

But - does anyone know the Herlitz Flex Book? I've seen in advertised and I'm tempted.

SoupDragon · 25/04/2016 21:06

I think you need to buy one and report back!

prokupatuskrakedatus · 25/04/2016 21:20

Well Soup - in the cause of planning and efficency, I simply have to, haven't I?
They look midoriesque in a plasticky and lightweight sort of way.

[taking a deep breath]

I'll do it.

Just checking in Smile. Enjoying all the stationery discussion as usual! I'm getting on very well with my teaching pages in my BuJo. I have a couple of private students and two classes I teach once a week, so I just have a collection for each, which keeps me organised with what I've covered and things I need to prepare for the next lesson. It wouldn't work if I were teaching full time, but is perfect for the small amount I'm doing.

Hello, I posted a while back.... I have been bujoing on and off.

What I like is I can pick it up and write a few tasks for the day sometimes I write something in that I've almost finished doing so that I can cross it off and have a feeling of satisfaction don't have to update it every day. I am almost done with the notebook that I don't like very much. Then I have a mini leuchturm to try out and I am still filling a separate one with my business idea. It's very handy.

Loving the stationery talk! Thanks for all the ideas Grin

PantsOfGold · 26/04/2016 14:48

My blue Leuchtermm and pens arrived on Sunday. I was slightly annoyed that DH and DC were there, as I couldn't descend into full- scale nerdiness with them around!

I have set it up according to the original bullet journal lay out - 6 months , monthly and daily. I have also added a Wish List double spread for everything - kids, house, me (all in super geeky columns). I have a monthly meal planner, a spending 'tracker', a list of meal ideas and a page for 'fun' things to plan - definitely need more fun in my life. Oh - and books to read/films to watch. Will also have a playlist one.

For some reason I can't bring myself to crack open the coloured pens - makes it seem slightly less 'useful' somehow - DD is eyeing them up, so I had better stake a claim on them..

PantsOfGold · 26/04/2016 14:50

I think I may have too much time on my hands Blush

SoupDragon · 26/04/2016 15:39

Coloured pens are essential for colour coding and making important information stand out.

TheNotoriousPMT · 26/04/2016 18:07

I just found out... It's National Stationery Week.

whatsonyourplate · 26/04/2016 18:24

On a similar vein to the filofax notebooks, I've just come across the ARC range in Staples while looking for printer toner. I've only just bought a leuchtturm but I need to spend a bit more to get free postage on the toner so it would actually be saving money wouldn't it??

PantsOfGold · 26/04/2016 21:07

Coloured pens are essential for colour coding - well in that case

JemTheAngel · 26/04/2016 21:15

I'm two and a half weeks in and still loving this. I feel more organised than I have for years. So glad I found this thread. Smile

Also still using my work bujo. That's only black with a little bit of orange/highlighting. But I'm even being more efficient at work.

For me, the lechtturm is perfect. Orange for home, grey for work. Oh, and I might have bought a fountain pen (I blame the other thread) but it is stationery week...

Limurz · 27/04/2016 14:43

I am stupidly excited reading all these posts - as a complete stationery addict I cant believe I haven't come across this before. All hints and tips very gratefully received!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 29/04/2016 08:43

Could a lucky Leuchtturm owner let me know how many rows by how many columns each page is (A5 dotted or squared) please? Thanks!

I'm not even halfway through my 1st BuJo yet (3 months in!) but already lusting after the next one haha :)

JemTheAngel · 29/04/2016 09:44

They have 26 columns and 38 rows. Each square is 1/2 cm x 1/2 cm.
