Hello can I join in for today please? I'm off work with a cold and a bit of a temperature but I'm also 37 weeks pregnant (why a cold has hit me so hard) and nesting so need to do a few bits.

I used to post daily on the slatterns threads when they ran so hopefully when my maternity leave starts I can post regularly on here too.

School run-done
Dishwasher emptied&reloaded with breakfast stuff -done
Kitchen wiped around -done
Breadmaker on -done
1 load into dryer to finish off -done
Load of washing on -done
Meat out of freezer -done
Make bed
Take mugs downstairs
Tidy bedroom
Replace hoover filter
Hoover upstairs
Dust bedroom
Organise baby stuff a bit
Clean en suite?
Clean around ds' lights witch
Hang up washing
Put load from dryer away
School run
Cook dinner
Load and set dishwasher
Wipe table &round kitchen
Ds to football training (dp?)
Make lunches for tomorrow

Looks a bit ambitious for how I'm feeling but it's only stuff I'd have done as well as going to work for 8 hours today had I gone in so fingers crossed it won't actually take too long.

Troika · 26/01/2016 09:35

Oh I also have an online shop coming this evening so will need to put that away.

handbags88 · 26/01/2016 10:50

Hi Troika! Welcome aboard - I'm also pregnant (27 weeks so a little it behind you) so I can sympathise with the need to nest Grin

Bloody hell Troika! You've been busy this morning. I sat on my arse for hours drinking tea as my sister popped round but I've made a start now.

  • tidy beds done
  • wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • washing done
  • fold and put away clean washing done
  • sweep and mop floors downstairs
  • clean out fridge done
  • write shopping list done
  • go to Aldi done
  • pick up dd3's formula from chemist not open til 2pm
  • wipe muddy cat footprints off windowledge in living room

I'm off to do the kitchen...

Kim82 · 26/01/2016 14:25

Kitchen done, windowledge wiped and floors swept and mopped. I'll go pick up dd's formula when she wakes up.

celeste83 · 26/01/2016 14:25

Done very little today but that is mainly because i was looking after my nephew whilst my sister went to the hospital.

Done:
made beds
washed dishes
bleached the loo's
general tidy up after nephew destroyed the place!!

Think i'm going to take inspiration from you Kim and go and clean out the fridge now.

Troika · 26/01/2016 14:42

I know, think I over did it a bit tbh Blush
A few of those things have been hanging over me for a while so feels good to have got them done.
I've been sitting down for over an hour now so have recovered a bit.
I want to get dinner underway before picking up dc if possible so that I have less to do this eve, I seem to crash at about 7pm these days!

Troika · 26/01/2016 14:43

I'd forgotten how good a list making thread was for motivation Smile

Kim82 · 26/01/2016 15:07

All jobs done. Dh is picking dd's milk up when he goes to the doctors later so that's one less thing for me to do. Tonight's jobs:

  • make tea
  • feed cats
  • wash dishes and clean kitchen
  • bath toddler and dry older girls' hair after their showers
  • supervise homework put away toddler's toys
  • fold and put away clothes in the dryer
  • take something out the freezer for tomorrow's tea
handbags88 · 26/01/2016 18:52

Home after a very long day at work.

Have made tea

Need to:

Wash dishes
Take clean towels upstairs
Put clothes away
Put a washing on
Sort some rubbish from the baby's room

Then bed.

Kim82 · 26/01/2016 19:28

Good evening ladies. I'm nearing my "collapse on the sofa" time.

  • make tea done
  • feed cats done
  • wash dishes and clean kitchen done
  • bath toddler and dry older girls' hair after their showers toddler bathed, girls not showers yet
  • supervise homework done
  • put away toddler's toys done
  • fold and put away clothes in the dryer
  • take something out the freezer for tomorrow's tea done

Just waiting for toddler to go to bed then I can sort the clean washing. I think the girls are showering in the morning as they have friends round at the moment. Means I can collapse a bit sooner so not a problem for me!

Kim82 · 26/01/2016 20:01

And I'm finished. The sofa calls...

Kim82 · 26/01/2016 22:06

Right, I'm off to bed in a minute. Tomorrow's jobs:

  • tidy beds
  • wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • washing
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • dust living room
  • wipe over downstairs bathroom
  • take toddler somewhere to run off a bit of energy. Softplay maybe.
  • clean the front of the kitchen cupboards and the kick boards

I think that's it. I can't think of anything else that needs doing.

handbags88 · 27/01/2016 07:54

Morning all!

Before work this morning I quickly:

Cleared the clutter in the living room
Aired the bed
Folded the clean clothes from last night
Nagged DH for not doing the dishes last night Wink
Took dirty washing downstairs and loaded the washing machine ready to go on later

Not a lot but just trying to make things a bit easier for when I get home Smile

celeste83 · 27/01/2016 08:33

Hi all. Managed to clean the fridge yesterday afternoon. Going to finish off cleaning the kitchen today plus all the other usual daily bits and bobs.

Troika · 27/01/2016 10:35

Morning,
Off work again today after definitely overdoing it yesterday- I got all dizzy whilst cooking dinner and had to go to bed meaning dp had to clear up and no lunches got made.

Smaller list today

School run- done
dishwasher emptied and breakfast stuff put in - done
Make dp's sandwiches ready for him to pick up - done
wipe round kitchen - done
hoover downstairs - done (roughly, no furniture moved or anything)
Take yesterdays wash off airer and put away - some bits need finishing off in dryer so are in there now
WD40 bedroom door hinges
2 x pieces of work
look at crib sheets online
fill in forms for school
school run
cook dinner
Make lunches for tomorrow
clear up kitchen and put dishwasher on
put bins out

handbags88 · 27/01/2016 10:44

Take it easy Troika, hope you are feeling okay today.
I noticed yesterday that the fridge needs a wipe down - I should add this to this evening's list...

celeste83 · 27/01/2016 10:53

Shock your dp not being able to make his own sandwiches troika and take it easy hun.

I have cleaned and mopped the kitchen, brought the recyling bins back in from outside after the binmen have been round, made the beds, and done the washing up. I need to pop out into town and do a few bits and bobs. May try and clean one of the bathrooms later but not sure if i will get round to it or be in the mood. We'll see.

Kim82 · 27/01/2016 10:55

Yes, make sure you don't do too much today Troika, spend a lot of it relaxing if you can.

So far on my list I have tidied the beds, washed the breakfast dishes and put the washer on. I'm waiting for dd3 to go for a nap in about 45 mins before I do any more jobs.

I also remembered I need to make us all an appt at the dentist as I'm sure we're due one soon so that's added to today's list.

Troika · 27/01/2016 12:41

Celeste it's always dangerous going out and then having things on the list to do once you get home, I never have the motivation then Grin

To be fair to dp he does do a lot for me as well as working very long days (enabling me to do a pt and poorly paid job that I love) so me making his lunch is a small return that I only begrudge some of the time Wink

School run- done
dishwasher emptied and breakfast stuff put in - done
Make dp's sandwiches ready for him to pick up - done
wipe round kitchen - done
hoover downstairs - done (roughly, no furniture moved or anything)
Take yesterdays wash off airer and put away - some bits need finishing off in dryer so are in there now - done
WD40 bedroom door hinges - done
2 x pieces of work -1 done
look at crib sheets online - done and ordered
pay brownies subs - done
clear out emails - done
fill in forms for school - done
school run
cook dinner
Make lunches for tomorrow
clear up kitchen and put dishwasher on
put bins out

Need to go out to the car to get the other piece of work in...can I be bothered??

handbags88 · 27/01/2016 18:43

Okay! In from work and:

Have put a washing on
Put the tumble dryer on
Wiped down the kitchen worktops
Wiped round bathroom
Made the bed
Hoovered

DH is on the dishes!

My Dad came over for a cuppa so I doubt much more will get done tonight Grin

Kim82 · 27/01/2016 19:05

Good evening. I got all my list done apart from phoning the dentist so that'll be done tomorrow. Toddler is bathed and in pjs, tea has been eaten and kitchen cleaned. All I have left to do is:

  • put away folded, clean clothes
  • tidy away toddler's toys
  • dry dd1's hair
  • put dd1's school jumper through a quick wash
  • take something out the freezer for tomorrow's tea
celeste83 · 27/01/2016 19:50

Hi all, yep you got me down to a tee Troika i didn't get the bathrooms done when i got home. I know what you mean about motivation to carry on with housework after going out for the day. I have however tidied up, made tea, washed dishes and wiped kitchen Smile
