Yesterday deep cleaned living room, today will do the kitchen

You and Kim are quite clearly superwomen though fresh! I'm more have a flap and a cry!! Dd1 is 2 in August and dd2 is 3 weeks...we have been so lucky with his paternity! I've survived and to be fair it's gone well.

I have even managed to do the ironing I didn't do last night, put a wash on and do dishwasher and handwashing. Just the basics but thought I'd have to wait till the eve for that.

Hello everyone! I've been away camping for the weekend and got back a couple of hours ago, all camping gear is cleaned and back in the shed and the washer is filled ready to go on in the morning. I'm shattered now though so plan to have a couple of glasses of prosecco then stumble into my bed. I've not looked round the house so have no idea what needs doing tomorrow, I'll do a list in the morning.

Could I join in please? My house is slowly turning into a manky pit and I need some motivation. List for tomorrow

Pick up DD'S prescription from chemist
Reload dishwasher
Wipe sides
Dust living room
Wipe couches down (bloody dogs)
Sort out/bin papers on desk
Hoover and steam mop downstairs
Clean upstairs bathroom

Lack of motivation is crap isn't it? I have just moved house so am trying to get into good habits so that has helped me loads! Not a good way to do it though!!!

Had a good day yesterday - dd was at her dads for the day so I cleaned and sorted out loads without her helping and everything stayed tidy for more than 5 minutes!

Yesterday I :
Hoovered downstairs
Wiped all skirting boards/windowsills
Cleaned black tv unit that shows every speck of dust!
Washed down new (2nd hand) storage/display unit and emptied 2 boxes into it
Took off cushions off sofas and hoovered it all
Decluttered and cleaned all kitchen surfaces
Did washing up
Cleaned cooker top
Scrubbed kitchen/diner floor on hands and knees!
Deep cleaned downstairs loo and main bathroom - including all skirting, mirrors and scrubbed floors
Put a load of washing on
Put bins/ recycling out
Helped ds empty some boxes in his room

Today my dad is coming late afternoon to do some DIY for me, so I will have a bit of time whilst grandma plays with dd.

Am hoping to:
Hoover stairs/landing
Tidy dd's clothes up
Sort out the mountain of boxes/bags that have found their way to the dumping ground (my bedroom!!!) big job which to make an indent on it will be at least an hour.

If I get that done I will be very happy!!!

Morning everyone and hi Nik. I've had a nice lie in as the two elder girls got up with the toddler so I slept in until 8.45am. Gotta love half term! So, now that I'm awake, showered and dressed I can think about my list for today.

• fold and put away clothes currently in dryer
• fold and put away dry clothes that dry throughout the day
• wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
• dust and polish living room
• sweep and mop throughout downstairs

• move crap that has accumulated at the bottom of the stairs
• tidy bedrooms
• Hoover bedrooms, landing and stairs
• clean out fridge
• write shopping list
• go to Aldi
• make an appt for the girls at the hairdressers

First things first though, breakfast, a cup of tea, dry my hair and get the two elder girls to shower. I can't be bothered moving just yet.

Thanks for the welcome. You've got some big lists to get through. I feel a bit like I'm slacking now Im definitely motivated today. I've just sat down! Only for a minute though as i need to make lunch for DS and DD2.

I'm now going to have lunch, sit and watch DD in the garden whilst jumping up to hang out washing every time the washer sings at me.

Nik - you have done loads. I have a surprise 90 minutes to myself so am gonna hit the ironing pile😟😟 I have iPad to watch sewing bee on (got no internet yet so just did a mammoth download at my mums!) cuppa tea, ironing board set up.... But I can't bring myself to start it!

When dh comes in hopefully he goes and cuts grass and I can do my ironing if not I'll need to cut it as busy the rest of week and determined to keep on top of it!

Another incredibly productive day from me I have done the dishwasher and handwashing. My house is a pigsty! But I am exhausted and don't sit down until the last feed for the baby each night.
Gorgeous day here! Went to a country park and let the toddler blow off a LOT of steam. I am going to try and clean the bathroom during toddlers bath and after my shower tonight.

Hi everyone. I was a lazy beggar and didn't do much on my list yesterday. Today so far I have:

• tidied beds
• tidied bedrooms
• hoovered bedrooms and landing
• washed breakfast dishes and wiped over kitchen
• written shopping list
• been to Aldi
• two loads of washing and hung out to dry
• swept throughout downstairs
• made lunch and cleaned up afterwards

Still to do:

• dust and polish living room
• clean and mop both bathrooms
• mop floors downstairs
• move accumulated crap off the stairs and sideboard in living room
• make two different curries for tea (milder one for kids, super spicy for me and Dh)
• fold and put away clean washing
• clean up after tea

Slightly more productive day today!

I bet you are all getting sick of me coming on here and saying I've done the washing up but I need the motivation!

It was cloudy this morning so took dds to soft play but then brightened up so walk and garden play

Dh is off tomorrow so not much will get done and he's on nights Friday! Panicking about that.

Well, the only things I managed on my second list was to move the crap off the stairs, bring the washing in, cook tea and clean up afterwards. I just don't seem to get much done with the kids being off school, it's driving me insane!!

Having just said that I am now going to move all the stuff off the sideboard now and I will put the washing away when I go up to bed so that's two fewer things for tomorrow's list which is:

• strip and remake beds
• wash covers, hang out to dry, fold and put away
• do a load of dark washing
• wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
• empty kitchen bins
• dust and polish living room
• dust bedrooms
• clean and mop both bathrooms

Sweep and mop throughout downstairs

• Hoover stairs
• go to the butchers for steak
• buy flea treatment from vets
• treat cats
• order dd's meds from gp
• make girls appt for hair cut

I will get this list done tomorrow, I WILL! My house is disgusting atm and needs some serious organising.

Well, my second day on this thread and I have done precisely bugger all except sunburn my forehead. We left for the zoo at 9.30 and only got home at 6.30. We ate out so just had to get the kids in bed and then sat on my arse trying to get rid of the glowing bauble that is now my face!

Out at the children's hospice tomorrow with DS for their family fun day but hopefully will be back by 4 so the one thing on my list is to sort out the clean laundry and make a start on the ironing.

After all my hard work yesterday though, the house now looks like I never bothered.

I probably shouldn't laugh but the "glowing bauble" comment really amused me Nik. Sorry!

I just came on to post that I'm proud of myself. I came up to bed, remembered that I had left the clean washing on the kitchen table so got back up to bring it upstairs and put away. That's dedication right there!

Anyway, I'm off to get some sleep ready to tackle the pigsty that is my house in the morning...
