I'm bored so thinking of tomorrow's list (yes, my Saturday nights are just that exciting!). So far I have:

  • tidy beds
  • make cooked breakfast
  • wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • empty all bins and put big bins out the front for collection
  • iron uniforms
  • wipe all light switches
  • dust living room
  • clean and mop both bathrooms
  • go through dd3's clothes and get rid of 9-12 month stuff
  • cook a roast
  • make sure all kids' homework is done
  • do a cold wash of Dh's expensive clothes
  • put dd2's lunchbox through washer on a quick wash
  • fold and put away clothes that are currently in the dryer
  • sweep floors again downstairs

I think that's it. That's all I can come up with right now anyway.

afreshstartplease · 24/01/2016 08:10

Morning all!

Determined to get at least the downstairs half of house sparkling today!

Who is with me?

I'm here. I've no plans for today so should find it pretty easy to get my list done. Dd2's lunchbox is currently in the washer and I've put away last night's dishes but that's all I've done so far. I'm just having my morning brew then I'll consider moving.

Good luck with getting downstairs sorted FreshStart.

afreshstartplease · 24/01/2016 08:17

Thanks

My morning brew is almost gone but think I need a second

Going to unload dryer while kettle boils then move washing from washer to dryer and reload the washer!

10 more minutes and i'll get out of bed Grin

Kim82 · 24/01/2016 09:04

I'm jealous of your lie in Celeste. It was my turn to get up with dd3 today so I was up at 7.40am. Still not super early thankfully but earlier than I'd like on a Sunday morning!

I've now dusted the living room, cleaned all the light switches, put a cold wash on and given toddler a bath in the kitchen sink - her weetabix was in her hair and everything! Time for another brew I think.

celeste83 · 24/01/2016 09:25

We've got a church near to us that rings it's bells at 0900 on Sunday so i got out of bed when that went off lol. Had a shower and i'm all dressed. I've squirted bleach around the loo in the bathroom before i jumped in the shower so first job of the day done! Just put some weetabix in the microwave Grin

My list today
-strip the beds and put bedding in the washing machine and put new bedding on
-do some more washing
-wash dishes
-mop kitchen floor
-bleach downstairs loo
-maybe hoover around

Kim82 · 24/01/2016 09:39

Dd3's clothes sorted. All 9-12 month stuff is bagged up ready for the charity shop (sob).

I'll go and get last nights stuff out of the dryer and get that sorted now.

Kim82 · 24/01/2016 12:17

I'm getting there:

  • tidy beds done
  • make cooked breakfast done
  • wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • empty all bins and put big bins out the front for collection bins emptied, will put outside later tonight
  • iron uniforms
  • wipe all light switches done
  • dust living room done
  • clean and mop both bathrooms
  • go through dd3's clothes and get rid of 9-12 month stuff done
  • cook a roast
  • make sure all kids' homework is done
  • do a cold wash of Dh's expensive clothes done
  • put dd2's lunchbox through washer on a quick wash done
  • fold and put away clothes that are currently in the dryer done
  • sweep floors again downstairs

Just off to wash breakfast/lunch dishes and sweep the floors then I'll do the bathrooms. Dd3 has gone down for a nap so I can't do then ironing til she wakes up as the clothes are in the wardrobe in her room.

handbags88 · 24/01/2016 12:40

Afternoon everybody!

Washing done
Tumble done
Wardrobe in baby's room gutted and off to the dump with the rubbish from inside it

Next, lunch!

Then:

Hoover baby's room and wardrobe
Put stuff for keeping in the attic
Take rubbish from attic to dump

Paint inside of the wardrobe (it's a built-in)

celeste83 · 24/01/2016 13:47

My list today
strip the beds and put bedding in the washing machine and put new bedding on
do some more washing
wash dishes
mop kitchen floor
bleach upstairs loo
-bleach downstairs loo
-maybe hoover around

Getting there...

handbags88 · 24/01/2016 15:49

Okay, there was a LOT of crap in the attic, so the wardrobe remains unpainted!

But all other jobs done and the downstairs cupboard is clear too as DH reorganised the attic so well!

Now doing 2 final trips to the tip and then DH will be on the dinner while I put the stuff back into the downstairs cupboard Smile

Kim82 · 24/01/2016 16:47

I've washed the dishes, swept the floors and done the ironing. Still not done the bathrooms though...

The chicken is in the oven so I've started the roast.

Tonight's list:

  • finish roast dinner
  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen afterwards
  • put washing into dryer when washer is finished
  • clean bathrooms
  • put toddler's toys away
celeste83 · 24/01/2016 17:52

My list today
strip the beds and put bedding in the washing machine and put new bedding on
do some more washing
wash dishes
mop kitchen floor
bleach upstairs loo
bleach downstairs loo
maybe hoover around

Just had tea. Letting that go down before wash up and wipe down kitchen then thats it for the day Smile

handbags88 · 24/01/2016 20:27

Finally finished I think - this housework malarkey is quite addictive once you get going Grin

Packed lunches made for tomorrow
Dinner done
Dishes washed
Kitchen cleaned
Floor mopped
Cat bowls washed
Tumble on
Folded clean clothes
Sat with DH and went through calendar putting in dates etc

Done! Going for a bath....

Kim82 · 24/01/2016 20:30

Well done Handbags. I've done everything else but still haven't touched the bathrooms. Can you tell it's my most hated job? I might do the small one downstairs before I go to bed so that just leaves the upstairs one to do tomorrow.

handbags88 · 24/01/2016 21:26

I'm liking this thread a lot - it's keeping me going. Cheers everybody! Smile

I hate doing the dishes - luckily DH doesn't mind doing them so it evens out! My dream is to invest in a dishwasher when we get a bigger house Grin

Kim82 · 24/01/2016 21:43

These threads make me get off my backside too. I've cleaned both bathrooms and stuck the shower curtain in the washer on a quick wash as it was looking a bit manky. My reward is a nice, hot bubble bath to relax.

Kim82 · 24/01/2016 21:47

Right, tomorrow's list:

  • go to slimming world (boo!)
  • tidy beds
  • wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • check litter tray and clean out if needed (they go through phases of using it loads then don't touch it for months, strange cats!)
  • nip round to dd2's school and pay last instalment for her residential
  • washing if there is any
  • fold and put away clothes currently in dryer
  • wipe dirty marks from hall door from kids' feet (didn't do it the other day)

I can't think of any more at the moment.

Kim82 · 25/01/2016 09:21

Beds tidied, washing folded and put away, washer on, toddler bathed. Off to Asda for a few bits then on to slimming world.

handbags88 · 25/01/2016 11:00

Doing well Kim! I'm on my coffee break thinking of what to do tonight!

Driving lesson
Make something quick for tea
Quick tidy of the kitchen
Go through a box of crap in the spare room

Bed!!

Kim82 · 25/01/2016 13:53

Getting there. Not much left to do now.

  • go to slimming world (boo!) done
  • tidy beds done
  • wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • check litter tray and clean out if needed (they go through phases of using it loads then don't touch it for months, strange cats!) not used so no need to clean thank god
  • nip round to dd2's school and pay last instalment for her residential done
  • washing if there is any done and in the dryer
  • fold and put away clothes last nights done, others not dry yet
  • wipe dirty marks from hall door from kids' feet (didn't do it the other day)

Just finishing my brew then I'll so the kitchen and clean the marks off the doors then that's my jobs finished til later tonight.

handbags88 · 25/01/2016 17:49

I'm home from my driving lesson, bought a vegetarian haggis for tea so that's cooking....

House is looking not bad - think I just need to stick the washing machine on and same with the tumble dryer.

And that's me for this evening, I'm shattered Grin love these Robert Burns smileys too!

celeste83 · 25/01/2016 18:06

Hi today i have done some ironing, made the beds, washed dishes, tidied up, dusted and polished the bedrooms, watered the plants, and cleaned the windows.

How did you manage to find such a vegetarian haggis Handbags? Never even knew there was such a thing!

handbags88 · 25/01/2016 18:29

It's by 'Simon Howie' from Sainsbury's - they do real haggis too. Not sure if it is just a Scottish thing but I wouldn't have thought so! It's delicious - made with kidney beans, lentils etc and same spices. It's a bit drier than a meaty haggis but tastes very similar. Have sent DH to the shops to buy whiskey sauce....
