Morning! Happy Easter to those that celebrate :)
I did everything yesterday and cleared up after the afternoon tea. Very late night as obviously with my family afternoon tea means 3 bottles of wine and going home at 11.30. So I'm still in bed!
Not doing anything today house wise...just the basics of dishes etc. As we are going out with dh family for lunch.

celeste83 · 27/03/2016 09:38

Morning all. Happy Easter. Yesterday we were out for most the day so not much done housework wise. Today we got In-laws over before lunch and then my parents are popping over in the afternoon. Not in the mood for housework to be honest but will do the bits and bobs needed to spruce the house up ready for visitors. Need to have a cup of coffee and nibble on a bit of my Yorkie Easter Egg I think to get me started Grin

handbags88 · 29/03/2016 16:52

Afternoon all.

Still got my cold - although I think it might have turned into sinusitis. Really sore face and can't sleep at night Sad

DH has been helping me bin loads of things and BIL is bringing over the nursery furniture on Friday. So we are getting there! Slowly Confused

celeste83 · 29/03/2016 21:12

Hi all,

I'm not feeling too gret either handbags my ds had a fever last Friday and chesty cough and then last night i got a sore throat then had the sweats all night and then woke up with the chesty cough myself. Been so tired today with ds still not too well himself so he has been super clingey today. Not done much housework today. The house feels really germy at the moment i want to slosh some bleach around the house but that'll wait until tomorrow now when hopefully i feel better.

Done:
washed dishes
made beds
changed ds sheets

Thats about it Blush

willhazboz · 29/03/2016 22:28

Meh I'm joining sick bay! Had an awful headache (maybe migraine but not a migraine sufferer normally so don't know.) and not been sleeping so I have done very little! Also dh has been off so we have been out and about.
Today:
Washing away and wash dd clothes
Made bed
Went to midwife appointment
Made tea
Cleared up
Done shopping list
Walked dog

Tomorrow
Take dd to soft play
Go to asda

We have workmen in tomorrow repairing a collapsed drain so will probably be trying to keep out of the way as much as possible!

Dh is back in work on Thursday so normality can resume!

Kim82 · 30/03/2016 08:37

Morning all. I really need to get back into this cleaning thread, I've been really lazy lately and the house is starting to look bloody awful, especially with having 3 kids at home for half term - the 8yo is still at school til Friday so next week will be even worse with all 4 at home so I need to get myself in gear. So, I WILL complete my list today which is:

  • tidy beds
  • wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • sweep and mop floors downstairs
  • clean out fridge
  • write shopping list
  • go to sainsburys
  • go to Aldi
  • collect dirty washing from around the house
  • washing (at least 3 loads)
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • dust living room
  • clean mirror in living room
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing and stairs
  • clean and mop both bathrooms

First job is to get dd2 off to school then I'll jump in the shower and make a start.

Kim82 · 30/03/2016 08:38

Sorry, I forgot to add onto my reply that I hope everyone starts to feel better soon.

handbags88 · 30/03/2016 12:16

Think my cold has definitely graduated into sinusitis Angry

I'm carrying on regardless!

This morning I have:

Washed dishes
Cleaned kitchen
Sorted the recycling
Folded some towels
Binned crap from DH'S drawers
Swept floors
Aired the bed

Next:

  • Make a cottage pie for tea
  • Sort through the last three bags of crap from the baby's room
  • Make the bed
  • book driving test
  • hang out a washing since the weather is beautiful
handbags88 · 30/03/2016 14:29

Okay,

Bed made
Cottage pie made
Driving test booked
Washings done, need to hang outside

Last things to do today:

  • sort through 3 bags
  • wash up after dinner

Think I've done not too bad for feeling shit! Hope everybody else is feeling better x

celeste83 · 31/03/2016 09:33

Morning all,

I didn't do much again yesterday as i was still not on best form so only the basics done. Housework is seriously lugging behind now. I feel much better today however after a good nights sleep not up coughing all night! I need to be getting the bleach and dettol out and start zapping these germs but its a lovely day here so i feel compelled to get ds out and get some fresh air in our lungs so we are going to make a packed lunch and get on the train and go down the seaside. Will try and get a few bits done before and then maybe do some more this evening.

I hope everyone else is feeling better.

celeste83 · 31/03/2016 16:28

This morning we went down on the train the beach and had a nice walk and an ice cream and a spot of lunch. First trip to the beach this year!

Done:
made beds
washed dishes
dettol'd kitchen work surfaces
bleached downstairs loo
dettol'd ds loo basin

Need to make tea now. Spag bol tonight. Will give the house a tidy whilst thats cooking. Will try and clean the upstairs bathroom whilst bathing ds this evening. Slowly but surely banishing all the bugs and germs in the house Grin

willhazboz · 01/04/2016 08:14

Glad you are feeling better celeste. How's the sinusitis handbags?
I am a bit better after a few good nights sleep but still got a niggly headache.

Yesterday I walked the dog and cleaned the bathroom. Made tea and cleared up. Did a load of washing and drying

Today I am going to visit my friend who's been in hospital and having my parents round for tea.
Cleaning wise I need to brush and mop kitchen hall and bathroom.
Change towels
Wash dd clothes and dry
I've put the dishwasher on and got a little hand washing to do.

Kim82 · 01/04/2016 08:38

Morning all, I'm glad everyone is starting to feel better. This morning's jobs for me are:

  • tidy beds done
  • washing washer on
  • take chicken for tea out of freezer done
  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • sweep and mop floors downstairs
  • dust living room
  • clean living room mirror
  • clean and mop downstairs bathroom
  • clean sister's house

That'll do for now, I'll add to it later if necessary.

ohh · 01/04/2016 09:44

I'm wondering how to wash my sons cubs jumper as it needs it and he had to sew the badges on the arms!!. Why they cannot have badges that don't require sewing on is beyond me.

Can I stick it in washing machine or will the badges colour bleed or need to be picked off first?

Any ideas ?

celeste83 · 01/04/2016 10:36

Morning all,

Don't really understand the question ohh I thought all cubs badges had to be sewed on no? If so they are normally fine to wash on a medium temp.

Today i have so far:
*made beds
*washed dishes

Thats it. I need a kick up the bum.

I want to as minimum hoover all the rooms today and to mop the bathrooms and kitchen.

ohh · 01/04/2016 10:43

Sorry ;)

How to wash the jumper with the badges already on it.

Washing washed and hung out.
Another load on.
Ironing
Washing up
Tidy lounge

The sun is up so wondering if should take son to the park....

celeste83 · 01/04/2016 11:05

I would have thought the badges would be fine. If he sewed them and got a badge for sewing then i guess this is the acid test for his sewing ability Grin if you are really cautious then maybe just do a hand wash instead.

Today i have so far:
*made beds
*washed dishes
*decluttered my handbag
*general tidy up

Right i want to hoover the house before lunch.

celeste83 · 01/04/2016 11:06

And go to the park i say. Take advantage of the sun! Smile

willhazboz · 01/04/2016 11:17

Done:
Hand washing
Emptied dishwasher
Wiped down surfaces
Walked dog
Brushed and mopped kitchen hall and bathroom
Dd clothes washed and in dryer
Changed towels and dirty ones in washer.

Debating dusting and hoovering living room. It desperately needs doing and dh has got up so is with dd so ideal time but I'm sat on sofa... Hmm

Sun is NOT out here! It's pretty cold. So definitely go the park!
