New cleaning thread

Christmas decorations are down here.

Yesterday deep cleaned living room, today will do the kitchen

Two beds stripped and remade, covers in the washer, towels in the dryer, two bedrooms dusted and windows cleaned, upstairs bathroom cleaned and mopped. I can't do the third bedroom or the hoovering as dd3 is sleeping. I'll make a start on the living room as dh and the girls are currently trashing the kitchen making lunch.

Good going Kim.

I can't cope with the mess anymore so I've been sneakily doing jobs that aren't obvious - so have put on a couple of washings and stripped the bed.

Also Hoovered and have got the windows open airing the house as it's a gorgeous day here today!

We were out looking at new cars this morning so not much has been done.

DH will be under close supervision when he returns from the football match

I've done nothing since I last posted. Dh has taken the kids to mil's for a couple of hours so I'll blitz the rest as fast as possible starting right now.

Feeling proud of myself. Jobs I have done today:

• strip and remake beds
• tidy, dust and Hoover all bedrooms
• cleaned and mopped both bathrooms
• cleaned all windows
• hoovered landing and stairs
• cleaned, swept and mopped kitchen
• tidied, dusted, swept and mopped living room and hall
• three loads of washing
• folded and put away washing
• bathed toddler
• made tea and cleaned up afterwards
• emptied bins

The house is now spotless and I feel grubby as hell! I'm just going to put the waterproof covers on the girls' beds then jump in the shower. Oh, first I'll get the joint of meat out of the freezer ready for defrosting tomorrow.

He's home and he's cleaning!!

So far, he has:

Cleaned bathroom
Sorted the recycling
Folded and put away the clean clothes
Washed the bedding
Put on a tumble
Hoovered the whole house

Now he should be going to do the dishes and then we are going to do an online shop...

I've sat quietly writing a shopping list with my cup of tea the whole time

I have totally lost the plot!

Dh has potentially broken his foot so spent Friday afternoon taking him to the hospital for an X-ray (7 days till results-how ridiculous!) and my friend has been in hospital after an op for a week. Her partner has had to go away and she's been in longer than she thought so was pretty upset so went to see her today. But that hospital is around an hour away and I got lost. So was out almost all day!

Today I have:
Walked the dog
Brushed and mopped kitchen
Shoved some chips in oven for my tea (dh is out) highly nutritious I know!
Washed and dried my new fluffy towels!
Going to wash my dirty towels next.
Really should clean the bathroom but will probably wait til tomorrow as I'm too tired and would prefer to eat ice cream. Xx

What a day you've had Will!

A week for x-ray results - how?! Surely they just need to look at them? How odd!

I know! He got fast tracked for the X-ray because of his job (said he felt like a right tool as he hates when people try to get discounts or special treatment coz of what he does - nothing fancy btw just don't want to completely out myself or him!) but then told the results take a week. If he can't walk on it he can't do his job. Apparently he can go to a+e and say it's 'hurting more' and they will look at them early so might have to do that after the weekend-don't fancy the waiting times on Saturday or Sunday's.
So I've just been hanging around hospitals all weekend! Fun.

I hope your dh is okay Will, it's strange he has to wait a week for the x-ray results, I've never heard that before. When my dc have broken a bone (we had 3 broken bones within 6 months!) they've diagnosed it straight away after xraying it. Very odd!

I should hopefully have a quiet housework far after yesterday, there's not much to do:

• tidy beds
• wash dishes and wipe over kitchen
• washing
• fold and put away clean washing
• iron uniforms

That's all that needs doing for now but it can wait for a bit. The house is nice and quiet as it's just me and the toddler awake so Nick Jr for her and a quiet brew for me.

Hoping I can get all of this done. Going to my parents for Sunday lunch at 1 and dh is still in bed as he went round to see his dad and brother last night for a 'few' drinks.

Beds tidied, dishes done, one load of washing in the dryer, another in the washer. Just need to sort clean washing when it's dry and iron the uniforms once dd3 is napping then that's it til tea time. Nice, easy day today. I'll take the kids for a walk somewhere this afternoon as the weather is nice.

It's feeling a lot better and my poor house has been totally neglected it looks like squatters have moved in
I've done 3 loads of washing so I'm going to put a woollen wash on then do something else

We were out finalising new car things at lunchtime but since we've come back, DH has been the food shopping.

I have:

Hung out washing on the line
Washed the dishes
Wiped all the surfaces
Cleaned out the kitchen cupboards and got rid of lots of crap and giving us much more room

Now totally pooped.

DH is making homemade pizza for tea

I've had a lovely afternoon at the park with the kids as it was nice and sunny. Got home, made tea, cleaned up, ironed the uniforms, folded the clean washing, took the meat out of the freezer for tomorrow's tea and bathed the toddler. All that's left to do now is dry the 8 year old's hair after her shower.

Tomorrow's list:

• tidy beds
• wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
• sort packed lunches
• washing
• fold and put away clean washing
• sweep floors downstairs
• ring the dentist to cancel Ds' appt on Wednesday
• wipe over upstairs bathroom

Think that's it. Can't wait for the kids to be finished in the bathroom so I can have a nice, hot bath!

Morning everyone! Last 4 days of work before mat leave!
I managed everything on list other than dust and Hoover living room. Dh did it towards the end of last week so it's not horrendous but think I'll pop home on my lunch to do it. I also cleaned the bathroom yesterday and did a wash which I forgot to put on my list.
Walked the dog for almost an hour which I don't think is to bad for an overweight woman 7 1/2 months pregnant with spd!
Today's list:
Dust living room
Hoover living room
Make tea
Clear up and do dishwasher
Put clean clothes and towels away

Morning all. I've had a productive morning today so my list is almost done:

• wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen done
• sort packed lunches done
• washing washer on
• fold and put away clean washing
• sweep floors downstairs done
• ring the dentist to cancel Ds' appt on Wednesday phone is engaged so will try again in a bit
• wipe over upstairs bathroom
• put pork in slow cooker

Just going to get dd3 dressed then go to Slimming World. I'll do the bathroom and put the meat in the slow cooker when I get back.

I'm back from slimming world, dentist has been rung, bathroom wiped over and the washer has just finished so I'll stick the clothes in the dryer and towels in the washer then my jobs are done!

Well done Kim! I need to go back to slimming world after this baby!
I have come home on lunch and hoovered and dusted living room and put the towels away. Got a whites load ready for dh to put on when he gets home and darks after that and need to put the load from yesterday away this eve. Back to work I go...

Evening all. I'm finished for the day now, just the toddler to put to bed then I can slob on the sofa. Tomorrow morning's list:

Evening!
Had another manic day with dh in a+e to check if foot was broken. Apparently it's not - just soft tissue damage.
Over 9 1/2 hrs he had to wait!!
And it was my cars mot today and had to sort out a claim on our home insurance as a sewerage drain has collapsed :(
So very little cleaning has taken place. I've put some clean clothes away and done the normal dishwasher surfaces made tea things.
Hope everyone has had a productive and less boring day than me today!

Right - it's my first day of maternity leave!

I must admit, I've had a chest infection this week so housework has not been getting done (toilet is clean, that is about it )

So today I need to:

Washed the dishes
Wipe the surfaces
Sort out the recycling
Take out the bins
Hoover/sweep
Generally tidy downstairs
Dust and polish
Air and then make the bed
Put a washing on
Hang the washings on the line
Tidy upstairs

Best get started!!

Not been here for a while writing my lists slapped wrist

We got some friends around later so only a small list today. I did a big clean yesterday.

My list:

• wash dishes
• wipe kitchen
• put bleach down the loos
• wipe bathroom basins
• general tidy up
