Swimming is done, toddler is in bed, dh has taken the older kids to his mum's, washer has nearly finished so I'll stick that in the dryer in a minute. Time for a food break - why does swimming make you so hungry afterwards?!

celeste83 · 21/02/2016 20:19

Hi,

I didn't get much done housework done yesterday at all. Today i have

stripped the beds + washed bedding
put fresh bedding on the beds
done another load of washing
cleaned the kitchen
general tidy up
made tea
washed up

willhazboz · 21/02/2016 21:32

I know what you mean Kim! But I read that if you eat in the first 30 minutes after swimming your body burns the calories more efficiently! So that's reason enough for me!
I made tea, finished all the washing and going to put that away in 10. Just watching a little tv! Also cleared up the kitchen loaded dishwasher and did more handwashing. Was going to Hoover but dh reminded me he is plastering in the living room tomorrow so he will be doing it when he tidies up! Xx

handbags88 · 23/02/2016 16:06

Hi everyone, this morning I:

Washed dishes
Wiped round the kitchen worktops
Put a wash on
Put a tumble load on
Swept the downstairs floors
Tidied the bedroom
Brought down dirty laundry
Aired bed ready for making
Took out the recycling

Just preparing to leave work now, so when I get home I will:

Make the bed
Cook tea (might do egg and chips....)
Wash up
Get DH to finally hoover the bloody stairs
Look out spare duvet and air it ready for houseguests on Friday
Give the bathroom a wipe round

Smile
celeste83 · 24/02/2016 09:51

Hi all,

Didn't make it on here yesterday. However i was busy. Yesterday i done:

made beds
hoovered all floors
general tidy up
finished off the ironing
made tea
washed up
wiped kitchen

Today i have already

made the beds
washed dishes
brought the bins back in after rubbish collection

Need to clean the bathrooms today. Its a lovely morning though here. Having a cuppa at the moment but may find an excuse to go outside for a bit Hmm

willhazboz · 24/02/2016 15:58

I'm not doing anything today! I've taken a secret half day from work tomorrow Blush so I will do some bits then (and watch some crap on tv!)
I'll make tea and clear up kitchen etc.
Lg is teething badly (been a breeze until now but think it's her molars) so just rocking in a corner trying to get through it.

handbags88 · 24/02/2016 15:59

Afternoon all!

Didn't get my egg and chips for dinner last night but DH is playing football tonight so I'll have it today! Grin

Tonight I need to:

Put a new load in the tumble
Put a load of washing on
Cook my tea
Wash up my dishes
Make the bed
Hoover upstairs
Dust shelves etc

I think I might wash and tumble the duvet to freshen it up a bit.

Then I plan to have a bath and read my book. Bliss!

celeste83 · 24/02/2016 19:46

Today i have:
made the beds
washed dishes
brought the bins back in after rubbish collection
cleaned, bleached and mopped bathroom and d/s loo
general tidy up
made tea
washed dishes
wiped kitchen surfaces

Enjoy your egg n chips handbags

Been there with the teething stage willhazboz bear with it.

Kim82 · 24/02/2016 20:12

Hi everyone, sorry I've not been on the thread for a couple of days, I've been distracted but I'm back now and need to get my arse into gear.

My list for tomorrow morning:

  • tidy beds
  • iron uniforms
  • washing
  • wash breakfast dishes
  • clean out fridge
  • go to Aldi
  • bathe toddler

I'll add more once those jobs are done.

handbags88 · 24/02/2016 20:38

Right!

Jobs for tomorrow!

  • Give oven a good clean
  • Fold up duvet/clean towels/stuff for houseguests ready to put out on sofa bed
  • Go to shops for food/nibbles for guests
  • buy flowers for kitchen and living room

Managed to get these things done today:

Washing
Tumble load
Clean clothes folded and put away
Dishes washed after tea
Floors Swept
Tidied all rooms quickly
Surfaces wiped in kitchen
Bed made
Recycling bits taken out to the big bin

Didn't dust - will do it tomorrow

My Dad was over visiting last week and commented on how tidy my house is looking at the moment - so thanks for keeping me going everyone! Grin

willhazboz · 24/02/2016 21:08

Ah she's been such a good baby (well she's 18 months now) so far and so easy so such a shock to the system when she's suddenly naggy etc celeste but think she might have hand foot and mouth as well :(
Tomorrow I am going to:
Clean bathroom
Brush and mop downstairs and bathroom
Dust living room and Hoover
Do washing

I was wondering about washing my duvet I've not done it before (quite new so not that disgusting but probably ready!) will it be ok to go in my washer and dryer...washer takes up to 8kg but dryer just 5kg. It's a 10.5 tog king size duvet??

Kim82 · 24/02/2016 21:14

Ooh, I have a dd a similar age willhazboz, mine is 19 months but I can safely say that she wasn't a "good" baby, she was a bloody nightmare - reflux, cmpa, clingy, non-sleeper - and if she'd have been my first I would never have had any more! 😂. She only started sleeping for longer than 3 hours in a row two bloody months ago, she sleeps through now, thank god, unless she's ill.

Sorry, not housework related but just thought I'd say we have dd's of a similar she.

Kim82 · 24/02/2016 21:14

*age not she - bloody phone!

willhazboz · 25/02/2016 08:02

Oh bless you Kim! My friends baby was like that. Still having the occasionally 4am wake ups at almost 2. But the slightest thing happens with my lg and I have no idea what to do as I've not had to cope with it! Well I don't think it was teething (or not just teething) as she has a rash round her mouth and on her hands. Looks like hand foot and mouth :( poor thing!
Feeling extra guilty about my cleaning/sleeping afternoon today!
I'm due my second baby in 10 weeks - doubt I'll be so lucky!

handbags88 · 25/02/2016 08:17

will I'm due my first in 9 weeks!

Have you been to the doctor to check that hand, foot and mouth isn't a risk to you?

(I work in a school - constantly paranoid about these things, sorry)

I'm constantly having to call the doctor to check all these things out Blush

Kim82 · 25/02/2016 09:21

I've made a start this morning:

  • tidy beds done
  • iron uniforms done
  • washing washer on
  • wash breakfast dishes done
  • clean out fridge
  • go to Aldi
  • go to Asda for dd2's school residential stuff
  • bathe toddler done

Just having a quick tea break then I'll do the fridge.

Kim82 · 25/02/2016 09:39

Fridge is done, I decided to do it whilst waiting for my tea to cool down. Just going to have 5 mins then I'll get sorted and head out shopping.

cheapandcheerful · 25/02/2016 10:09

Ooh! I had completely forgotten about this thread!

My youngest Dc has just started pre-school 2 days per week so I might actually get some things done now!

Today:
Empty dishwasher - done
School run - done
Asda shop - done
Run
Shower
Dinner into slow-cooker
Tidy our room
Vacuum
Clean bathrooms
Hand washing
Dark wash
Clean dd's inhaler out
Volunteer at dc's school
Take dc swimming

There is no way I will get all of that done today but the plan is to finish off the leftover jobs tomorrow.

willhazboz · 25/02/2016 10:25

Dd has doctors at 11.15 to check if it is hand foot and mouth. I will get my parents to check when they take her...but initial Google diagnosis seems it's not a problem for me. Think it sounds worse than it is! Very exciting handbags! You nervous yet?
I stuck a wash on this morning and so far still planning to clean this afternoon but will probably go to see my baby instead of watching tv/ sleeping!

Kim82 · 25/02/2016 12:17

I hope your dd is okay willhazboz.

Right, shopping done and put away, dd napping, and lunch eaten. I can't be bothered doing any more housework yet so I'll just clear the living room and watch TV for a while...

handbags88 · 25/02/2016 15:02

Phew will that's good! I think it's just one of those things that just needs to run its course.

It's all becoming quite real now - we've almost finished clearing out our spare room which is now baby's room and we'll need to paint it next Smile

How about you? You'll be busy with 2!

Back to housework, I need to get everything sorted for my visitors this weekend first though....!
