Morning all. I've been missing a few days again but have been keeping things ticking along. I've lots to do today though.

  • strip beds
  • remake beds
  • washing (think about 5 or 6 loads)
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • wash dishes and clean kitchen
  • take something out of the freezer for tea done
  • nitcomb girls' hair (grim)
  • dust living room
  • sweep and mop floors downstairs
  • clean and mop downstairs bathroom
  • tidy bedrooms
  • dust bedrooms
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing and stairs
  • clean and mop upstairs bathroom
  • bath toddler (she was too tired for one last night)

I think that's it for now.

Afternoon all.

This morning, went to post office and B&Q. Got my storage boxes!

Came home:

Made lunch early
Washed up after lunch
Cleared out big wardrobe, put 3 big plastic boxes and a vacuum bag in the loft.

Wardrobe is now looking extremely tidy, even managed to get my beauty/make up stuff in there too.

Going to polish all the bedroom furniture now and DH is hoovering the whole house.

Think I'll have a sit down after that and might sort through DH's clothes. Maybe!

Rest of the cleaning jobs can get done tomorrow Brew

Hi, didn't get much chores done yesterday, today i have stripped the beds, washed the bedding, made the beds, done some more washing, cleaned the oven, bleached the toilets, tidied up. dh made tea and we both washed up. I might do some ironing tonight but not sure lol.

handbags88 · 08/02/2016 18:31

Home from work, cooking tea just now.

Did most chores at the weekend so not much to do - just the daily bits and bobs.

Will have tea then wash up.
Might put a wash on.

celeste83 · 08/02/2016 19:58

Hi,

Today i have made the beds, worked my way through the ironing pile, tidied up, made tea, washed up, wiped down the kitchen. House is looking ok at the moment Grin

Kim82 · 08/02/2016 20:09

Good evening all. I've not done a huge amount today as I had slimming world this morning and then I cleaned my sister's house this afternoon. I have done my usual daily jobs of tidying beds, washing dishes and wiping over the kitchen, did some washing (just towels, they're in the dryer now), bathed toddler, nit combed the girls (think I caught them early and they're all gone) and cleaned up toddler's toys.

Tomorrow I need to:

  • tidy beds
  • wash breakfast dishes
  • clean out fridge
  • write shopping list
  • go to aldi and tesco
  • order toddler's nappies from amazon
  • order toddler's prescription from gp
  • make sure Ds takes signed letter back to school
  • dust living room
  • clean and mop both upstairs and downstairs bathrooms
  • sweep and mop floors downstairs
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing and stairs
  • washing
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • empty bins
  • clean cat litter tray
Kim82 · 09/02/2016 10:25

Slow start today but I've finally got my arse in gear, showered and dressed and made a start:

  • tidy beds done
  • wash breakfast dishes
  • clean out fridge done
  • write shopping list done
  • go to aldi and tesco
  • order toddler's nappies from amazon
  • order toddler's prescription from gp done
  • make sure Ds takes signed letter back to school done
  • dust living room
  • clean and mop both upstairs and downstairs bathrooms
  • sweep and mop floors downstairs
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing and stairs
  • washing washer on
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • empty bins done
  • clean cat litter tray

Setting off now to do the food shop.

handbags88 · 09/02/2016 16:09

Afternoon everyone!

The house is still looking okay.

This morning I:
Put on the tumble dryer
Put a wash on
Made a cooked breakfast
Tidied Kitchen after cooked breakfast, except doing the dishes
Aired and made the bed
Tidied any clutter in the bedroom and sitting room
Went to antenatal class with DH and then to work!

When I get home I need to:

Wash the breakfast dishes
Make tea
Hoover (will get DH to do this)
Clean cats litter trays (also DH)
Possibly dust
Possibly give the bathroom a quick wipe around

Had a huge blitz of our bedroom at the weekend, tidied all the drawers, tops of units etc. Trying to keep it that way.....We'll see how it goes! Grin

Hiya,

Today i have made the beds, cleaned and mopped both bathrooms, tidied up, got tea on the go. Just need to wash up and wipe kitchen.

You've lost your mojo of late Kim, i hope alls ok.

celeste83 · 10/02/2016 17:47

Oh and my husband has challenged me to go a week without putting bleach down the toilets. Says i put too much down. I only put it down about 3 times a week which i don't think is too bad Angry

Kim82 · 10/02/2016 18:07

I'm fine thanks Celeste, I've just been spending a lot of time sulking and job hunting as we're super skint atm so I've decided I need to go back to work. Gutting but necessary unfortunately. I've given myself a good talking to today though and am determined to get myself back into my cleaning routine as the house has started looking grotty.

It's a bit better downstairs after my mini clean earlier though. I've done the kitchen and cleaned the windows and mirrors downstairs now too so a few more jobs to tick off the list. Gonna go do the bathroom and mop the kitchen while the toddler is watching TV for half an hour before bathtime.

Kim82 · 10/02/2016 19:06
  • wash dishes and clean kitchen done
  • mop kitchen floor
  • bath toddler done
  • fold and put away clean washing done
  • make my tea and clean up after
  • iron uniforms
  • clean and mop downstairs bathroom done
  • clean windows and mirror in living room done

  • attempt to sort out Ds' phone - he wants to change SIM cards but keep the same number.

Getting there...

Kim82 · 10/02/2016 20:57

All done apart from ironing uniforms and sorting Ds' phone. They can wait til tomorrow. Tomorrow's list is:

  • iron uniforms
  • tidy beds
  • washing
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • clean and mop upstairs bathroom
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing and stairs
  • go to Post Office
  • go to big Tesco in town
  • pop into Aldi, I forgot yoghurts and pork steaks when I went shopping on Tues
  • bag up cot sheets to take to charity shop
  • put clean mattress cover back onto cot mattress
  • get dh to take cot back to DSis' house
  • sort Ds' phone

That'll do for the day I think.

Dh's friend is bringing a carpet cleaner round but I'll wait til Friday to make a start on that if he doesn't mind leaving it with us.

celeste83 · 10/02/2016 21:53

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time Kim. I hope you find a job soon. What sort of work you looking for?

Kim82 · 10/02/2016 21:59

I've been a legal secretary for 15 years and that's all I know really but I'm hoping to try something different and have applied for a couple of admin jobs in the nhs for a change. If nothing comes of it though I'll have to go back down the legal secretary route again which is okay but I'm bored of it!

celeste83 · 10/02/2016 22:02

I would have thought legal secretary would put you in good sted for admin work.

Kim82 · 10/02/2016 22:04

That's what I'm hoping too so I'll just have to wait and see whether I'm selected for interview or not. Fingers crossed!

celeste83 · 10/02/2016 22:07

Fingers crossed for you.

We've found January very tight too and Febuary has been much the same too.

Kim82 · 11/02/2016 17:40

Hi everyone. I hardly did anything on my list AGAIN as Dh's bloody friend turned up at 11am, even though dh didn't get home until 1.30am and he didn't leave until 3.20pm when the kids were she back from school. He stayed all throughout the toddler's nap which is when I do most of the housework. I was not impressed. All I have managed to do is iron there uniforms, tidy the beds, do a load of washing and wash the breakfast dishes. Grrrr!

Tonight I want to:

  • put washing into the dryer
  • fold and put away clothes that are already in the dryer
  • bath toddler
  • sort Ds' phone
  • make my tea and clear up afterwards
  • clean and mop upstairs bathroom

I'm so pissed off that I didn't get much done today, I was hoping to get out for a walk with the toddler tomorrow to the park but now I'll have to do the tesco/aldi/post office trip instead. Oh well...

handbags88 · 11/02/2016 19:12

Aw no Kim, I do get a bit pissed off when people come over and interrupt my cleaning!
Good luck with the job hunting too.

We are having laminate flooring laid throughout the downstairs on Monday - I'm very excited to be rid of the grotty carpet but not looking forward to taking almost all the downstairs furniture upstairs Sad
The mess...!

Kim82 · 12/02/2016 08:00

Morning everyone. I'm shattered today as I didn't get to sleep til 2am as dh was snoring like a pneumatic drill and I ended up on the sofa. I might try and get a little nap in when dd3 sleeps later.

Laminate flooring is so much easier Handbags, it's so much quicker to clean but I do get what you mean about the mess of having it fitted. I bet it'll be worth it though.

Today's list is:

  • tidy beds
  • fold and put away spare covers I used on the sofa last night
  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • empty bins
  • go to post office
  • go to Tesco
  • go to Aldi
  • pick up dd3's meds from chemist
  • washing washer on
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • bag up cot sheets for charity shop
  • clean and mop upstairs bathroom
  • make steak pie for tea

I'm not moving yet though, I need a cup of tea and some painkillers to try and shift this headache.
