New cleaning thread

Christmas decorations are down here.

Yesterday deep cleaned living room, today will do the kitchen

This weekend has been a write off, I've done hardly any housework whatsoever so have plenty to do tomorrow. My list is:

• tidy beds
• iron uniforms
• washing
• fold and put away clean clothes
• wash dishes and clean kitchen
• clean and mop both bathrooms
• Hoover bedrooms, landing and stairs
• dust living room
• clean downstairs windows and mirrors
• sweep and mop floors downstairs

I think that'll do for now, if I manage to get those jobs done then I may add more.

For now, though, I'm off for a nice, hot bath!

I've woken up this morning feeling crap - runny nose, sore throat etc.

I do not think very much will get done tonight:

Make hot water bottle
Go to bed

Didn't get much else done since picking up kids from school

Hi all, today I have made the beds, hoovered the house, tidied the house, made tea, washed dishes. Gonna catch up with the ironing this evening.

I have done nothing again today, I need to get my backside in gear tomorrow. My house is slowly descending into chaos and my washing basket is overflowing. I WILL do get on top of it tomorrow, I will!

Right, jobs today that CANNOT be put off any longer:

• tidy beds
• tidy bedrooms
• clean kitchen
• sweep and mop downstairs
• clean out fridge
• write shopping list
• go to Aldi
• washing, lots and lots of washing
• fold and put away clean washing
• dust living room

I'll leave it at that for now, if I get it done I'll add more later.

So far this morning I have made up kids' lunch boxes, fed the cats, made toddlers breakfast, made sure dd1 and dd3 have had their meds and screached at Ds around 7.4 million times to get out of bed.

I'm just finishing my cup of tea then I'll jump in the shower, get dressed, collect all the dirty washing from upstairs and make a start.

Got a midwife appointment this morning and then off to work

• clean out fridge have emptied old food, need to wipe down shelves

• washing have sorted into piles - there are 5 loads - towels in washer

I'm going to write my shopping list and dust the living room now as dd3 won't let me leave the room! Hopefully when I'm done she'll "allow" me to do the fridge!

I'm just leaving work now. Popping to the shops on the way home to restock the fridge with the basics.

Think I might go through the pile of old post/leaflets etc that has accumulated in the magazine rack - I think there is one magazine in there and the rest is all shite!!

My parents turned up just after I posted earlier so I haven't managed my other list yet. Dh and I have taken down dd3's cot though and reorganised the girls' bedroom and I have also cleaned the upstairs bathroom. Tea has been made and eaten so tonight's jobs:

• clean and mop downstairs bathroom

• put dd3's toys away

I can't do the windows as I have run out of kitchen roll so I'll have to do that tomorrow.

I needed to do a lot today, I had only done the basics for a few days so everything had built up. I can have a quieter day tomorrow though, thankfully. Tomorrow's list for the morning is:

• dust bedrooms
• wash breakfast dishes and wipe over kitchen
• washing (just the covers from the cot that are no longer needed sob)
• fold and put away clean washing

I just remembered I need to take something out the freezer for tea tomorrow.

Empty all the bins
Take out the recycling
Hoover whole house

Jobs for the weekend:
Cook/wash up etc
Clean bathroom
Dust and polish furniture
Put unused clothes/handbags I want to keep in big plastic box in the attic
Attempt to whittle down my wardrobe/shoes etc
Reorganise bedroom furniture (DH is on this!)

Today i cleaned and mopped the bathroom aswell as the usual daily tidying, washing up, making tea, making beds, etc. Think my car needs a clean so may turn my attention to that, or if i'm lazy i may just take it to get done at one of those old garage forecourts

I'm tempted to take our car through the car wash celeste!

Just in from work:

Went to shops
Washing in the tumble dryer
Dinner on

Will make the bed and bring down anything for the wash
Might hoover - still feeling crap

Not planning on doing much more than that tonight

Yep i took the car to a car forecourt in the end. Too cold to be messing around outside with a hoover and bucket and sponge...it looks great now tohugh I have today made the beds, tidied up, done the food shop for the weekend, made tea, wiped down kitchen.

Thank goodness it's Friday.

Got in from work, guzzled some toast and then:

Put on two tumbles
Folded the clean clothes ready to put away
Hoovered
Washed up the dishes from breakfast
Dried the plates and put them away
Wiped around the kitchen
Made the bed
Bleached the toilet and gave it a quick wipe around
Cleared through a pile of post
Put DH's football bag away in the cupboard (grudgingly - it seems to live kicked under a chair in the sitting room)
Put a washing on before I went to work this morning, so just need to put it in the tumble now

Tomorrow we are going to the post office and B&Q first thing to get plastic boxes for things to store in the attic so I can make more room in the wardrobe in our bedroom.

I am extremely excited about this - it is very very sad. I think this tidying has gone to my head and I've gone a bit Monica

I'm amazed by the amount of housework you do after a day at work Handbags. Those plastic store boxes we have loads of them mostly partners cd collection. I made him download them onto a hard drive and packed them up in the loft to his reluctance .

Today I have made the beds, hoovered all rooms, polished and dusted lounge, put bleach down the loo's, tidied up, made tea, washed up, wiped kitchen. House is looking ok for the weekend

Our house is tiny celeste, so it probably seems like a big list when actually it's just a lot of very small jobs!

I'm hoping to really clear our bedroom tomorrow - I think I will send DH up to the attic with the ipad again and pass stuff up to him as I go (trying to sneak some of his dvds up there too...)
