Cleaning thread anyone?

Used to do one of these each week but I have become a lazy lazy slob it would seem!

Anyone care to join me with lists and motivation?

Evening ladies. I managed to sweep the floor once the kids were in bed and decided to mop them too to save me a job tomorrow. I'm loving the fact that this thread is helping keep me motivated and my house is actually clean most of the time - a difficult task with a family of 6 plus 3 cats!

Anyway, tomorrow's jobs are:

Tidy beds.
Wash breakfast dishes and clean kitchen.
Clean out litter tray.
Dust bedrooms.
Clean upstairs windows and windowledges.

Do a couple of loads of washing - I think there's enough for 2 loads.
Get baby's feet measured and buy new shoes (then no doubt buy her some boots I've seen in Next too...).
Get sausages and bacon out the freezer for tea.

Nip to the shop for bread and milk.

Morning. Horrible weather here this morning. I'm guessing thats the Indian summr over. Least we got one last full weekend of nice weather.

Todays list:

• dettol kitchen sides
• make the beds
• bleach the loo
• wipe bathroom
• hoover all rooms

Morning penguin. The weather is shocking here too. I've just had to take Ds, dd1 and her best friend to school in the car so they didn't start the day drenched from head to toe!

Anyway, so far I've tidied the beds, done the breakfast dishes, cleaned the kitchen, done the litter tray, taken food out of the freezer and put the washing machine on.

Dd2 has just set off for school (hers is 3 doors away so she shouldn't get too wet) and I'm just waiting for dd3 to go for a nap - should be soon, she's been up since 6.30 - then I'll make a start on dusting the bedrooms and cleaning windows.

Morning all can I join? It's horrible weathe here this today too..So far this morning I've made beds,bleached bathroom,Hoovered downstairs &I mopped kitchen, put washing in dryer..
Got my mum over later so prob won't get much done till after 3.. I need to
Basket of ironing
Put away ironing (my worst job)!
Make a roast for sister and family coming for dinner later
Empty dishwasher

Can't think of anything else!

Hi Kate, course you can join, the more the merrier.

Ive dusted our room and ds' room and done both windows as well as the landing window. I can't do the girls' room yet as dd is asleep in there, ill wait til this afternoon when dh is home so he can entertain the baby for a bit.

Just waiting for her wake up then ill go into town for her new shoes. Also need to buy ds some more jeans. I wish these kids would stop growing, it costs a bloody fortune!

Anyway, washer has finished so ill go put the washing in the dryer and put another load in the washer.

I've been into town, dd's feet haven't grown so I didn't buy her any new shoes sob. I did buy Ds a couple of pairs of jeans though and picked up some bread and milk while I was out. Just need to empty the dryer and re-fill it again and dust the girls room and I'm done.

Just need to do some ironing now but will do that this evening whilst watching my soaps. Has anyone else got the heating on yet? I was hoping to resist putting it on here until end of the month but its quite nippy.

Hi Penguin, no I've not had the heating on yet, I'm just putting a jumper on when I'm cold for now. It won't be long til it goes on though.

I've done all my jobs for today. I just need to bath the baby in a bit and put her in bed then clear up the hoards of toys all over the floor in the living room - she's currently throwing the balls from her ball pool around, what's the guarantee I miss one when putting them away...?

Ha yeah those balls get everywhere. You'll probably be finding them still at the end of the week. Bless her. Yep we've resisted putting heating on, we're just all wearng jumpers, and me slippers aswell.

Oh what a day! I had lots of unexpected paperwork to deal with today & that ment not much time for housework or the kids.

I did breakfast & the dishes
Sweeped the floors
Two loads of washing/drying/putting away
Had a cheat night & did frozen pizza because I didn't want to cook or clean up lots if dishes.
General tidy up
Cleaned the bathrooms after everyone had their showers.

Put the feet up with DH & watched University Challenge.

Need to get into gear. Weather miserable and lacking motivation but at work rest of week so either I tackle ironing and beds or else I have to do them at night after work usually after DDs in bed not ideal as I am nodding off myself by then.

I can't seem to get my arse in gear this morning, I have sat around on my arse for ages while dd was asleep. I've just made myself get up though and have tidied the beds, cleaned the kitchen, done the fridge and written a shopping list. I'm going to dry my hair now (after my shower at 7.30am - told you I'd been lazy!), get dd dressed and go shopping.

Another few things to add to my list are:

Sweep the floors
Hoover upstairs

Shopping is now done and put away. Just being crawled on by a very grumpy baby so can't get anything else done just yet, I think I'll have to wait til she goes to bed.

Another busy paperwork day for me as a result if yesterday's unexpected twists & turns.

How are you getting on?

I've all my jobs done for today so I've just out the kids to bed & have settled down to watch TV. I only operate between the hours of 8-8 after that it's me time. Although I am doing a meal plan while I watch TV. I won't have time to do it tomorrow because Wednesdays are one of my big clean days... The joys!

Lost the whole day as I went out to lunch with DH. Not often we can do that and it was delicious!

Today-

Ironing - Done
Put away ironing - Done
Strip DD1 bed and remake
Tidy DD2 room and make bed
clean dogs sofa

Hoover hall, living room and dining room - Done
Empty kitchen bin - Done
Dishes and kitchen counters bleached - Done

All the rest can of course be done tomorrow evening.

Can I join for tomorrow? I am getting nothing done at the moment. Two small children and first trimester pregnancy are taking a massive toll and the house is a tip!

My list for tomorrow:

• tidy lounge
• tidy dining room and kitchen
• vacuum dining kitchen (really need to mop too, but unlikely to happen)
• fold 4 loads of washing
• actually put folded washing in drawers
• do load of whites and load of woollens
• finalise DD2's passport application, and sort parcel for NZ to be posted on Thursday (not housework, but needs to be done)
• clean toilets

Hi everyone. I didn't do any of the other jobs on my list so it'll be a super busy day tomorrow to catch up. Not looking forward to that...

Just wondering if anyone has a steam mop? I think I'd like one especially fit the bathroom by id like it to clean my carpets to. Does such a thing exist?

I don't have a steam mop LadyMary but I'd love one! My sister has one and I'm so jealous. I'm not sure whether they sell ones that clean carpets too.

I've got plenty to do today as I didn't her much done yesterday. It's pouring down with rain so I'll have to take the elder 2 kids to school in 20 mins. Today's jobs are:
