Used to do one of these each week but I have become a lazy lazy slob it would seem!

Anyone care to join me with lists and motivation?

  • laundry washer on
  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • sweep and mop floors
  • dust living room
  • fold and put away clean washing

  • get milk and passata from the shop
  • Hoover (still...)
  • clean downstairs bathroom
  • clean upstairs bathroom

Anybody have any suggestions how to clean a multi-coloured rug ( wine, cream and beige). The professional carpet cleaners would not do it in case the colours ran.

I have forgotten what hard work it is having DCs at home
I now deep clean my house once a month(or even 6 weeks) -it takes most of a day but I diary it in and just do kichen surfaces, sweep floor loos and basins in between. And maybe the odd extra job, like de cluttering .Am intrigued how many of you mention dusting! I dust when expecting guests and not always then .
max 4 loads of washing a week -towels,sheets and 2 of clothes (it's a big drum)
This weekend's jobs
-catch up with washing as its a blowy day and it will go on the line First load is in
-Sweep up fallen leaves as we have only one more Green Bin collectionDD1 is home and has promised to help as she needs the exercise .It will take a few hours as there is an enormous beech tree next door
-Look through family pics with DD as she wants copies for a collage she is doing .I count as 'housework as we'll probably do a bit of weeding out at the same time
-make complicated fish stew tomorrow as DD doesn't eat meat
Am still snuggled up in bed about to read my Book Club book for an hour or so -on my ToDo list so I suppose it's a job

Kim82 · 21/11/2015 10:37

I've stripped all beds (apart from Ds' as he's still in there, the lazy bugger). I've remade the baby's cot, put the first load of washing in the dryer and another load in the machine. I'm now waiting for the baby to go to bed then I can make a start on the cleaning, she's being a little clingon this morning so I can't get much done yet...

My sister has also just rang and asked if I'll dye her hair for her today so that's another job to add to the list.

afreshstartplease · 21/11/2015 10:37

Hi, I've now done all beds, been to the shop, made tea and cleared up after, bathed the baby and put another load of washing away. I'm just about to put another load of washing in the dryer and another load in the washer then I'm done for the day. I still haven't managed the hoovering, the floors upstairs are minging now. I shall hoover tomorrow whilst dh is in bed hungover .

I haven't eaten yet, I didn't fancy what I made so I'm considering buying a huge takeaway to myself once dh is out and the kids are in bed. It's no wonder I never lose weight is it?!

Heyheyheygoodbye · 21/11/2015 18:45

I'm all done! Just washing hanging about drying everywhere, hate it. Can't wait to get a tumble dryer when we buy a house next year.

Go for it Kim Grin

  • laundry
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • deep clean Ds' bedroom
