Used to do one of these each week but I have become a lazy lazy slob it would seem!

Anyone care to join me with lists and motivation?

I meant I'll do it once they're up and one of them can hold the baby as she's frightened of it. She's fine if someone picks her up but freaks out if she's on the floor or the sofa. Little weirdo! Grin

penguinsarecool · 17/11/2015 20:23

Bless her. A loud hoover bigger than her is probably quite scary lol.

I think I need to commit to this thread on a daily basis my house is awful and it builds up all week and then takes an entire weekend to sort and is never fully done Sad

I did all my other jobs but STILL haven't done the hoovering. It is becoming my nemesis!! I've also washed some of dd1's uniform and that is hanging to dry overnight in the kitchen. Roll on Friday when I can catch up with the absolute mountain of washing that is building up. I'm going to be at it all weekend, especially after adding bed covers to it on Saturday!

Tomorrow's list:

  • tidy beds
  • bloody hoovering!
  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • a small load of essential laundry
  • dust living room
  • pay some money into the bank
  • nip to aldi for tuna, mayo and fruit juice
  • go to Costco for cat food and bottled water
  • clean sister's house
  • cook tea (sausage and mash - better take the sausages out the freezer now while I think about it)
  • fold and put away clean clothes (that have taken 2 bloody days to dry!)
  • sweep floors downstairs
shutupanddance · 19/11/2015 10:04

I've not done anything apart from tidy the beds and put a load of laundry on so far today. I've has to take the baby to the docs as she has thrush in her mouth - delightful! She's in bed now and when she wakes I'm going to my sisters to use her dryer as dh has run out of clean work tops and the baby has no vests left! My house must be unusually cold as the washing I did the other day still isn't fully dry 3 days later! I imagine it'll need washing again by tomorrow as it'll smell really musty and horrible. Oh well...

Someone please motivate me Sad

OP posts:
Kim82 · 19/11/2015 20:35

I have no motivation myself so can't help you there...I've been shockingly shit at cleaning the past few days, I need a good kick up the backside!

I have visitors a week on Saturday though so I shall be doing a deep clean of every room in the house throughout next week as it's grim at the moment!

If anyone has any suggestions on how to get manky dark stains out of cream carpets that would be great! We still have the carpets in upstairs that were here when we moved in and they're disgusting! We've redone throughout downstairs and the stairs and landing carpet but the bedrooms are gross, they are embarrassingly dirty.

penguinsarecool · 20/11/2015 08:16

Hi all. Not made it onto MN for the last few days. The house isn't looking too bad at the moment been managng to keep on top of things generally. In brief i done the kitchen on Wednesday and did the bathroom yesterday. Today i need to hoover all rooms and tidy ds room.

I can only recommend some sort of vanish product for the carpet Kim. i've never had cream carpets so can't really give any experience with them. Cream carpets sound a nightmare to keep clean though.

Kim82 · 20/11/2015 11:02

Morning everyone. So far:

  • tidy beds done
  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen done
  • Hoover
  • sweep and mop floors done
  • clean downstairs bathroom
  • dust living room done
  • lots and lots of laundry washer on
  • clean sister's house
  • make chilli for tea
  • empty kitchen bins done
  • fold and put away clean washing none dry

My new dryer is here, horay!! I have 6 loads of washing to do to catch up as I've hardly done any this week. The dryer goes in the plastic shed in the garden though so I have to wait for dh to come home, move the old one and put the new one in it's place before I can use it. I'm so excited (I'm aware this makes me sound like a loser!).

penguinsarecool · 20/11/2015 21:17

Yay for the new dryer Kim Smile

Today i have:

  • washed breakfast dishes
  • dettol'd kitchen tops
  • made the beds
  • wiped bathroom basin
  • wiped the loo
  • general tidy up
  • dusted and polished lounge
  • hoovered everywhere
  • made tea
  • washed dishes
  • dettol'd kitchen tops
