Used to do one of these each week but I have become a lazy lazy slob it would seem!

Anyone care to join me with lists and motivation?

Kim82 · 16/11/2015 22:05

Sorry for your loss WhatTheDuck. I hope you're okay. Flowers

I've just done the basics again today, we had a few people pop in so I didn't her chance to do much housework.

My dad has come to my rescue with the broken dryer though and has ordered a new one for me, it's being delivered on Friday - horay!! I had visions of being overrun with dirty washing. I'll just have to wash only what is needed between now and then as I have nowhere to dry any clothes. Looks like this weekend will be full of laundry to try and catch up.

Tomorrow I plan to:

  • tidy beds
  • wash dishes and wipe down kitchen
  • small load of laundry
  • sweep and mop floors downstairs
  • dust living room
  • clean downstairs bathroom
  • clean out fridge
  • write shopping list
  • do food shop
  • take baby swimming (fingers crossed she doesn't cry the entire session this time...)
  • make lasagne for tea
  • empty kitchen bins
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing, stairs and living room rug (still haven't done it!)

That'll do I think. I'll try to get a bit more done if I can because I'm seriously behind with the housework at the minute with having quite a few lazy days. I need to get my arse in gear!

I'm off to have a bath now so will clean as much of the bathroom while I can whilst waiting for the bath to run. Desperately needs doing!

shutupanddance · 16/11/2015 22:07

I'm supposed be taling my oldest dds to paris in a few weeks.Hmm i just told dh I dont think i want to go, hes not happy. What do you guys think?

Kim82 · 16/11/2015 22:24

I don't think I'd want to go either tbh. I wouldn't be able to relax the whole time I was there.

penguinsarecool · 16/11/2015 22:31

I don't think i'd want to go right now either. Its all too raw still. Have you paid for the trip already?

Kim82 · 17/11/2015 08:48

Morning everyone. I'm determined to get my list done today. So far:

  • tidy beds done
  • wash dishes and wipe down kitchen done
  • small load of laundry washer on
  • sweep and mop floors downstairs
  • dust living room
  • clean downstairs bathroom
  • clean out fridge done
  • write shopping list
  • do food shop
  • take baby swimming (fingers crossed she doesn't cry the entire session this time...)
  • make lasagne for tea
  • empty kitchen bins done
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing, stairs and living room rug (still haven't done it!)

Going to do my list then go shopping once the school traffic has died down.

Kim82 · 17/11/2015 11:10

I'm back again:

  • tidy beds done
  • wash dishes and wipe down kitchen done
  • small load of laundry on airer
  • sweep and mop floors downstairs done
  • dust living room done
  • clean downstairs bathroom done
  • clean out fridge done
  • write shopping list done
  • do food shop done
  • take baby swimming
  • make lasagne for tea
  • empty kitchen bins done
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing, stairs and living room rug

I cleaned most of the upstairs bathroom last night, I'll do the bath and the floor once the baby wakes up.

I'll do the hoovering once dh is home so he can hold the baby (she's scared of the noise), swimming isn't until 12.30pm and I'll do the lasagne when baby sleeps this afternoon.

Time for a brew!

shutupanddance · 17/11/2015 12:58

Thanks ladies.Flowers i did mention to dh about not going and he got the humpHmm hes over it now.

Candlefairy101 · 17/11/2015 13:49

Kim you make me feel like a slob haha, but honest question, where does your motivation come from?

I know what I need to do and I write list but nothing happens!

Take ds1 for flu spray done

Kim82 · 17/11/2015 15:58

I have to do the stuff Candlefairy. We're a family of 6 in a tiny 3 bed semi so if I didn't do it the mess and clutter would just get ridiculous! I hate living in a mess more than I hate cleaning so it's the lesser of two evils.

  • tidy beds done
  • wash dishes and wipe down kitchen done
  • small load of laundry on airer
  • sweep and mop floors downstairs done
  • dust living room done
  • clean downstairs bathroom done
  • clean out fridge done
  • write shopping list done
  • do food shop done
  • take baby swimming done
  • make lasagne for tea done
  • empty kitchen bins done
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing, stairs and living room rug

Just the hoovering to do now. The girls have some friends in their room atm though so I'll wait til they've gone then get it done.

I realised once the baby had gone for her nap that I forgot to pick up dd1's cooking ingredients for tomorrow so I nipped out to sainsburys while dh stayed in with her and picked them up. I also finished buying the bits for a secret Santa present whilst I was there too so that's another job ticked off the list.

Just the normal evening routine of cooking tea (the girls don't like lasagne so I'll do tuna pasta for them), washing up, feed cats, tidying baby's toys in living room and baths/showers for the kids then I'm done for the night.

shutupanddance · 17/11/2015 18:32

shutupanddance · 17/11/2015 19:56

Dd2/3 ensuite cleaned with gelp from dd2.
Had a go at the stains on dds carper too, rug doctor is fab!
Ds1 asleep
Currently lying with dd3. Shes 6 fgs but if I don't she just stays upHmm
Uniforms sorted, just need to put couple of bits in drier

Kim82 · 17/11/2015 20:11

I didn't get to do the hoovering AGAIN as the girls friends were round and then the baby decided she wanted to go to bed at 6.30pm. I'm going to do it in the morning before the older kids go to school to make sure I get it done tomorrow, the carpets look disgusting!

Tomorrow's list:

  • tidy beds
  • Hoover
  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • laundry (if today's stuff is dry by the morning - I miss my dryer!)
  • fold and put away clean washing (if dry)
  • sweep floors
  • iron uniforms
  • take baby for a walk/to the park if there's a break in the rain.
