Cleaning thread anyone?

Used to do one of these each week but I have become a lazy lazy slob it would seem!

Anyone care to join me with lists and motivation?

I've got clubs to taxi/watch tomorrow and sunday in the morning. We have a couple of jobs to do and dd2s friend is coming over. I'll most likely need a rest too!

I still haven't managed to do the hoovering, I'll do it in the morning. I ended up going to a retail park with my sister and she bought me some new converse - yay!

I don't have loads of plans this weekend really, takeaway and soaps tonight, library and garden centre to look at the Christmas decorations tomorrow and swimming on Sunday. Dh is off from now until Tuesday so we have a full weekend together, we only get one a month as he works 3 out of every 4 Saturdays.

Hi all

Did meal planning last night, the big shop today, and have got dinner on with some spare portions cooking too. Have been in the garage and shaken my rhubarb (oo-er!) and refilled the big bottle of olive oil.

Tomorrow:

Dusting
Hoover
Bathroom and loo
Three errands to run in town
Sort out boot of car
Do a winter mantelpiece
Do a plan, shopping list and timetable for big family meal next weekend
Start organising my presents and wrapping

While I'm thinking about it (because my Friday night is just too crazy), tomorrow's list is:

• strip beds
• remake beds
• laundry
• fold and put away clean clothes
• wash dishes and wipe over kitchen
• empty bins
• Hoover bedrooms, landing, stairs and living room rug
• clean cat food mats
• dust bedrooms
• clean upstairs bathroom

Well I've made good progress in the kitchen and done several loads of washing so feeling rather pleased with myself, have also tidied my bedroom

Off to dejunk the stairs

Put dark was in

And I just let my 15 mo the old have a paddy so I could get in and actually do something! I thought 'no I'm not carrying you round everywhere you can sit and play by your delve for 5 minutes', I'm also 6 months pregnant so I should be carrying too much anyway.

Felt bad at the time but now I can see what I've achieved in the space of 10 minutes, I don't feel so bad

Hi everyone, I've not managed to get on here since Friday, I've been out pretty much all weekend with dh so haven't had chance to do much housework. I've kept on top of the basics (cooking, washing dishes, laundry, etc) but didn't do much else.

Our dryer has conked out today though, it's just blowing out cold air and not drying anything. Argh!! I've no idea how we'll manage without one with the amount of washing our family creates. I can't afford a new one til after Christmas either so the next 1.5 months should be fun!

Today I have tidied all rooms (tidied but not cleaned), done some laundry, bleached the kitchen, emptied the bins, supervised homework and ironed uniforms ready for tomorrow.

Tomorrow I plan to:

• think of inventive ways to get clothes dry
• clean the downstairs bathroom
• clean windows downstairs

I'm also going to do my sister's cleaning a day early as dh is off work so can watch the baby.

Sorry to hear about your drier Kim. What about going to the laundrette for the time being? I sometimes use one near us and it costs 50p for 5 mins, they are industrial driers aswell so are quicker than domestic ones.
