Cleaning thread anyone?

Used to do one of these each week but I have become a lazy lazy slob it would seem!

Anyone care to join me with lists and motivation?

I've fed dogs cats and kitten
Emptied dishwasher and refilled
Wiped kitchen sides
Emptied and refilled tumble dryer
A load of washing

So far:

• tidy beds done
• wash dishes and wipe over kitchen done
• clean out fridge done
• write shopping list
• go food shopping
• ring round a few taxi companies to get prices for a night out
• dust living room done
• sweep and mop floors downstairs done
• laundry washer on
• fold and put away clean washing
• get flea treatment from the vets
• put flea treatment on cats

Just having tea and toast whilst writing the shopping list.

Strip our beds
Strip ds1 bed
Pull out all furniture In living room and mop behind it and clear any crisp packets etc that get dumped behind there
Wash and dry said bedding
Iron a small pile of clothes
Put washing away that's in tumble drier
I've got 3 days off work so I aim to clean from top to bottom

• laundry towels in dryer, another load in washer

• put flea treatment on cats no cats around to treat yet

Just back from cleaning my sisters, have just fed the baby and thrown a bagel down my neck and I now need to get ready to visit my grandad in hospital. I have a pounding headache and really just want to lie down in a dark room.

Since this morning i have bleached, cleaned and mopped the kitchen. Also done general tidy up. Gonna do some ironing this evening. DH made tea and is washing up. Car went into the dealership and is now all sorted. They gave me a nice convertable Golf. Shame its Autumn or else i would have tried out the fold down roof!

Not done much today. Worked, then did food inventory, meal plan, went to Aldi and Sains. Put that lot away, put away washing, tidied living room. DH cooking tea now

I'm finally home from the hospital. Dh did homework and bedtime, tidied all the toys up in the living room and I think Ds washed the dishes.

Finally, time to sit down..

Morning. Today's list:

I have tidied the beds and put some washing in. That's as far as I have got this morning. I'm still sitting in my pjs despite the fact the baby has been in bed over an hour already. I should really move my arse...

Today didn't go as planned again. Couldn't get my arse in gear.

I'm currently sitting in the bathroom while the baby has a bath, I've cleaned the room while I'm in it, I just need to rinse the bath when she gets out. Other than that I've achieved:

• wash dishes and wipe down kitchen did but needs doing again. Ds currently washing dishes, I'll finish off the rest of the room later
• laundry washer finished at lunch time, still not put in the dryer, will do whilst sorting kitchen
• fold and put away clean clothes still in clean washing basket unfolded
• sweep floors downstairs nope
• iron uniforms not yet
• clean downstairs bathroom did upstairs so will do downstairs tomorrow
• buy new toothbrushes nope
• put flea treatment on cats nope, I'm sure they know and are avoiding me
• go to Sainsburys nope, can't remember what I was going for now though
• go to B&M nope

Oh well, maybe tomorrow will go better.

I have managed a few more bits now though as dd1 played with dd3 after she'd had her bath and had her pjs on so I had a quick half hour running around:

• sweep floors downstairs forgot this one, will do now
• iron uniforms done
• clean upstairs bathroom done
• put flea treatment on cats will go hunting for them once floors are swept

Baby is now in bed, both girls are watching fireworks out the window (we're going to a display on sat instead of tonight), Ds is in his room, dh is visiting my grandad in hospital so after the last few bits that need doing I'm going to try and find something to watch on the TV and relax.

Hiya all I've had a horrible few days
We lost my fil a fortnight ago and my sil has bi polar which has sent her over the edge so that's been very stressful and it's had a bad effect on my HD which almost dropped my sisters baby which was horrible

Oh no SixPence, that sounds awful and so stressful. I'm sorry to hear about your fil .

It's no surprise you haven't got anything done, I don't think many would in those circumstances. Housework can wait, concentrate on yourself and your family for now.

Today i bleached, cleaned and mopped the bathroom. Did the usual day to day bits too. House is not looking too bad at the moment. Tomorrow i want to do the hoovering.

Put dd3 to bed - lots of tears about missing Daddy as hes been working away, hopefully shes going off now

I have to do quite a bit on a day to day basis as there's 6 of us plus 3 cats in a small 3 bed semi so it would be an absolute shit tip if I let it build up too much, especially with a toddler at home all day trashing the place! I do have days where I do the bare minimum though.

Anyway, tomorrow's list:

• tidy beds
• strip Ds' bed (he's at his dad's tomorrow night so I can get a head start on clean bedding)
• remake Ds' bed
• wash dishes and wipe over kitchen
• laundry
• fold and put away clean clothes
• go to B&M
• try and remember what I needed from sainsburys and go there!
• deflea remaining 2 cats (I've done one tonight)
• clean downstairs bathroom
• mop floors downstairs
• dust bedrooms
• Hoover bedrooms, stairs and landing

It's Dh's day off tomorrow so he can entertain the toddler while I get stuff sorted so I should hopefully be done pretty early.
