Used to do one of these each week but I have become a lazy lazy slob it would seem!

Anyone care to join me with lists and motivation?

OP posts:
banananugget · 27/10/2015 07:44

Can I join please? I need to focus a lot on decluttering upstairs but downstairs is getting there.

My list for today:

1 - sort out 10 items in my bedroom
2 - remove any rubbish from bathroom
3 - quick wipe sides in bathroom
4 - organise top of cabinet in lounge
5 - hoover lounge/kitchen floor
6 - do some washing
7 - put away clean washing
8 - dishwasher/wash up
9 - clean sink in kitchen
10 - quick wipe sides in kitchen

I'm off work this week so would like to try to get a little bit more on top of things if possible.

GrouchyKiwi · 27/10/2015 08:09

Thanks, penguin. Will try that. Pretending visitors are coming usually works too.

So today's list:

  • load darks & hang outside
  • empty dishwasher
  • fold yesterday's washing
  • tidy DD1's room (with her help)
  • tidy lounge
  • bake loaf of bread
  • dinner
  • also need to order chest freezer and a few clothes for the girls
Kim82 · 27/10/2015 09:00

Hmmm, not sure how much housework I'll get done today. Baby has woken up with a temp and has been a cling on so far and won't let me put her down. I'll have to see what I can get done while she sleeps later.

Kim82 · 27/10/2015 09:40

Right, calpol has given me a brief moment of freedom so I've managed to do a few bits:

  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen done
  • sweep and mop floors downstairs kitchen done, living room and hall to do
  • order baby's meds from gp done
  • clean out fridge done
  • write shopping list
  • go to aldi
  • go to Costco
  • couple of loads of laundry washer on
  • fold and put away clean clothes yesterdays towels folded and put away
  • clean downstairs bathroom
  • sort out home insurance

Time for cuddles and a brew and if she'll let me hold a own I'll write my shopping list while we're sat down.

Kim82 · 27/10/2015 10:48

Baby is asleep so I've managed to sort a few more bits. Just shopping to do now mainly:

  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen done
  • sweep and mop floors downstairs done
  • order baby's meds from gp done
  • clean out fridge done
  • write shopping list done
  • go to aldi
  • go to Costco
  • couple of loads of laundry one load in dryer, another load in washer
  • fold and put away clean clothes none dry yet
  • clean downstairs bathroom done
  • sort out home insurance about to do whilst munching toast

Time for cuddles and a brew and if she'll let me hold a own I'll write my shopping list while we're sat down.

Kim82 · 27/10/2015 10:50

Oops, forgot to delete the last bit of my last post. Can you tell I coped and pasted it so I didn't have to write down my list again...??

penguinsarecool · 27/10/2015 10:53

Aw bless. Hope she gets well soon Kim Love baby cuddles.

So far i have:

  • washed breakfast dishes
  • dettol'd kitchen tops
  • emptied kitchen bin
  • made the beds

Gonna wipe down the skirtings today. Just noticed they are quite dusty and grubby in places. This is one of my once or twice yearly chores, and it shows!

GrouchyKiwi · 27/10/2015 13:13

Hope your baby feels better soon Kim.

I'm doing quite well today.

  • load darks & hang outside - washed, but need to put in dryer
  • empty dishwasher - done
  • fold yesterday's washing - done
  • tidy DD1's room (with her help) - done
  • tidy lounge
  • bake loaf of bread - dough made and proving
  • dinner
  • also need to order chest freezer and a few clothes for the girls
Kim82 · 27/10/2015 17:26

Thanks for the well wishes, she seems to be okay when she's had calpol but dips again when it wears off. It's probably a little virus that'll go in a day or two.

All my jobs are done now and I also managed to get to my sister's to do her weekly clean too. Just need to fold the clothes that are in the dryer and stick the towels into the dryer. I'll sort that after tea.

Kim82 · 27/10/2015 19:29

Right, tomorrow's list:

  • tidy beds
  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • do a load of laundry
  • fold and put away clean clothes
  • find ID
  • pick up new bank card from bank in town
  • ring house insurance to say we don't want to renew
  • buy dd1 some new jeans and dd2 a couple of jumpers

That's all I can think of for now.

GrouchyKiwi · 27/10/2015 19:51

Glad the Calpol helps. Smile

Achieved everything on my list today, apart from the clothes for the children because I didn't like anything.

Tomorrow looks like this so far:

  • load washing
  • tidy playroom
  • tidy hallway
  • clean toilets
  • dinner
penguinsarecool · 27/10/2015 20:40

Cleaned all the skirtings. Worst job along with cleaning the oven and ironing!

Pointlessfan · 27/10/2015 22:11

Got all my jobs done today!
Tomorrow:
Put away yet more washing.

My next move is to finish tidying it Blush

OP posts:
Pointlessfan · 28/10/2015 19:37

Tomorrow's jobs:
Clean kitchen and bathroom
Vacuum and mop floors.
Vacuum furniture.
Wash towels.
Clean bedroom windows.

Kim82 · 28/10/2015 20:02

I didn't think I would get all my jobs done today (the baby has croup so I've had her attached to me all day and had to take her to the gp for some steroids, bless her. She sounds bloody awful!) but I've just checked and the only thing I've not done is ring the house insurance company. Yay!

I also had to strip and remake dd2's bed as she wet the bed around 4am last night - lovely! Let's hope I manage to get some sleep tonight ready for tomorrow's jobs which are:

  • tidy beds
  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • ring house insurance company
  • dust living room
  • laundry
  • fold and put away clean clothes
  • buy Halloween outfit for dd1

I'll leave it at that to keep it simple as who knows how the baby will be tomorrow...

penguinsarecool · 28/10/2015 20:44

Aw poor lil girl. Hope she gets well soon Kim

Done my list:

  • wash dishes done
  • clean, bleach and mop the kitchen done
  • make the beds done
  • bleach the loo done
  • general tidy up done
  • look on the internet for a new charger for my satnav (hoping that is the problem and not that the satnav itself has died) found a charger for £10 on Amazon. Fingers crossed
  • made tea done
  • get dh to wash dishes and dettol kitchen tops done
  • bath ds done

I ran out of bleach today so gonna need to go stock up tomo morning as i wanted to clean the bathroom tomo.

Pointlessfan · 29/10/2015 08:46

Hope she is better soon kim, that's the 3rd baby I've heard of having croup this week, it must be the time of year for it.

Kim82 · 29/10/2015 10:34

I'm zombified this morning, hardly any sleep last night and she has a terrifying coughing fit at 5am when I almost took her to A&E. She's still not happy this morning, bless her, but she's back in bed now so might be a little more cheery when she wakes up. I'd better get moving and do some jobs while she's asleep:

  • tidy beds
  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • ring house insurance company
  • dust living room
  • laundry washer on
  • fold and put away clean clothes
  • buy Halloween outfit for dd1 ordered online to be delivered tomorrow (lazy)
Kim82 · 29/10/2015 11:24

Almost done:

  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen done
  • ring house insurance company done
  • dust living room
  • laundry washer on
  • fold and put away clean clothes none dry
  • buy Halloween outfit for dd1 done

Just having a cup of tea and baby snuggles then I'll do the dusting.

threeislovely · 29/10/2015 11:48

Morning! I think I need some list motivation!

Sort car insurance
Fix TV
Clear lounge hotspots
Sort conservatory bookcase
Washing
Change kids' sheets
Do something with mending mountain
Sort kitchen

threeislovely · 29/10/2015 12:12

Right - enlisted children's help slave labour and blasted through some things!

Sort car insurance - found paperwork and gave to DH to sort
Fix TV - done
Clear lounge hotspots - mainly done - just need to persuade DSs to put lego away when finished playing
Sort conservatory bookcase - 1 done
Washing - Put on
Change kids' sheets - waiting until washing is done before trashing entire house
Do something with mending mountain
Sort kitchen - done

Also phoned plumber. Now may and go to get DSs hair cut rather than face the mending! Oh my life is so glamorous when I am on leave!!

Kim82 · 29/10/2015 19:40

Child slave labour is always the best way of getting things cleaned Three!

I didn't end up doing the dusting, I could do it now but I'm too lazy and am sitting on the sofa awaiting my takeaway for tea...

Tomorrow's list is:

  • tidy beds
  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • dust living room
  • laundry
  • fold and put away clean clothes
  • clean the massive streak of bird shite off the patio door window (bleurgh!)
  • clean out cat litter tray
  • sweep floors downstairs
  • carve pumpkins with the girls
  • empty bins

I think that'll do for tomorrow.

Kim82 · 29/10/2015 19:44

Oh, I also need to get dh to get the Halloween decs out of the attic do we can decorate the front of the house ready for trick or treaters on Saturday.
