Used to do one of these each week but I have become a lazy lazy slob it would seem!

Anyone care to join me with lists and motivation?

Another productive day here, defrosted, cleaned and reorganized fridge freezer, I now have a whole freezer drawer free for some Xmas things. Cleaned kitchen sink, put a load of washing on and made crispie cakes with DD. DH gave the cat litter box a really good scrub too and is going to do the ironing this evening. Would like to vacuum and mop if we get time.

Kim82 · 18/10/2015 16:25

Hi everyone. I've done nothing today as I've had a horrendous hangover! It's starting to lift now though so I may get a few jobs done later. I think I'm going to:

  • fold and put away clean washing
  • re-wash the bed covers which have been sitting in the washing machine since yesterday
  • wash dishes and wipe down kitchen
  • iron uniforms
  • sweep floors downstairs
Kim82 · 18/10/2015 21:18

Right, I've done bugger all today, just the bare minimum of washing the dishes and re-washing the bed covers which are now in the dryer. I've therefore got hoards to do tomorrow. My list is:

  • iron uniforms
  • tidy beds
  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen
  • sweep and mop floors
  • dust living room
  • a couple of loads of laundry
  • put stew in slow cooker
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing, stairs and living room rug

That's all I can think of at the moment, I might need to add more tomorrow...

penguinsarecool · 19/10/2015 08:07

Morning.

Hows the hangover Kim?

Didn't get much done over the weekend myself. Yesterday i stripped the beds and the usual kitchen bits but that was about it. Today i need to take my car to the garage for it's service and then get the bus back, then head back in the afternoon and pick it up again so not sure much will be done again. Got a pile of laundry that is looking threatening to take over the lounge aswell!

Kim82 · 19/10/2015 08:14

Morning penguin. The hangover has gone now thankfully. I've remembered why I very rarely drink any more! I've an ill 11 year old at home today as she was up being sick through the night, so with both her and toddler dd here I may not get the whole list done. I also need to add washing puked on bed covers and remaking dd's bed to the list too...

  • iron uniforms done
  • tidy beds done
  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen
done
  • sweep and mop floors
  • dust living room
  • a couple of loads of laundry
  • put stew in slow cooker done
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing, stairs and living room rug
  • wash dd's bed covers in washer
  • remake dd's bed
Kim82 · 19/10/2015 09:59

Not doing too badly so far. Baby is now in bed so I can crack on and get most of the list done apart from the hoovering which I'll do when she wakes.

  • iron uniforms done
  • tidy beds done
  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen
done
  • sweep and mop floors mainly done but need to mop other half of kitchen that is currently covered by piles of washing waiting to go into the machine
  • dust living room
  • a couple of loads of laundry washer on
  • put stew in slow cooker done
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing, stairs and living room rug
  • wash dd's bed covers in dryer
  • remake dd's bed
Kim82 · 19/10/2015 15:08

Yay, all done. I've also just ironed dd1's uniform, I didn't do it this morning as she wasn't going to school.

  • iron uniforms done
  • tidy beds done
  • wash dishes and wipe over kitchen
done
  • sweep and mop floors done
  • dust living room done
  • a couple of loads of laundry 4th load in the washer, 3rd is in the dryer
  • put stew in slow cooker done
  • fold and put away clean washing done all so far
  • Hoover bedrooms, landing, stairs and living room rug done
  • wash dd's bed covers done
  • remake dd's bed done
Kim82 · 19/10/2015 20:40

Okay, tomorrow's list:

  • tidy beds
  • wash dishes and wipe down kitchen
  • laundry
  • clean out fridge
  • write shopping list
  • go shopping
  • buy cushion stuffing for dd1's school project
  • do 2 hours cleaning at sister's house
  • fold and put away clean washing
  • make a roast
  • clean upstairs bathroom

That's all I think.

penguinsarecool · 19/10/2015 20:48

Well done Kim for doing all that with a sick child and a baby at home today.

Didn't get much done here today. Car has had its service today. Done food shop this evening on my way back from the garage.

I have done:

  • washed breakfast dishes
  • dettol'd kitchen tops
  • made the beds
  • wiped bathroom and bleached the loo
  • general tidy up
  • made tea
  • washed dishes
  • dettol'd kitchen tops (again)
  • done some ironing watching the soaps

Doesn't look too bad when writing it actually but they are just little daily jobs.

Tomorrow i need to do some hoovering.

Kim82 · 19/10/2015 22:18

Urgh, add washing puked on covers again to tomorrow's list. It's now dd2's turn to have a sick bug. Bleurgh!!

Pointlessfan · 20/10/2015 06:54

Oh no Kim! Hope she's better soon.
Tasks for today and tomorrow (my days off):
Put away dry washing and put more washing on.
Supermarket shop
Sort out more things for charity shop to take tomorrow.
Return top to Next for refund.

Clear out cupboard under kitchen sink.
That should keep me busy! Going to put washing on now.

Today's list:
Make big pot of Bolognese in slow cooker.
Tidy and dust living room.
Clean hand prints off window!
Clean toilet.
Vacuum but leaving that as late as possible so DD doesn't have time to make a mess again!

lostinabook · 21/10/2015 09:47

Have carpet cleaner man coming to do lounge today so moved furniture out...and just used whole pack of wipes on the grosses I discovered lurking!!!

lucymootoo · 21/10/2015 12:13

Hi everyone can I join in. I am struggling to get motivated this morning and have spent 2 hours on the Internet after dropping DD at nursery Blush

I have loads to do and I think I'm going to have to work in 15 min bursts.

-Laundry
-Livingroom
-Taking bins out/ sorting recycling
-Hallway

That should take me an hour then I can have some lunch. Will move at 12:30 Grin

Kim82 · 21/10/2015 12:31

Hi and welcome Lucy, I was a bugger for sitting around on the internet when dd was asleep, that's what made me join this thread as nothing was getting done!

I've just made the baby some lunch which she is currently throwing all over my freshly mopped floors (sob) and I've folded and put away the clean, dry towels, put the darks in the dryer and Dh's posh jeans and top are in the washer on a cold wash. Just need to clean up after dd when she's finished eating and dh should be home soon so I can go and clean at my sister's house and then home to cook the roast and fold and put away the rest of the clothes which should be dry.

Pointlessfan · 21/10/2015 13:26

I usually have an hour and a half of housework/cooking followed by 30 mins of sitting down with internet and a brew while DD naps. Have prepped 3 different meals this afternoon!

Kim82 · 21/10/2015 21:58

Hi, just doing tomorrow's list while it's in my head:

  • laundry
  • fold and put away clean clothes
  • clean sister's house (still not done it)
  • collect new cash card from bank in town
  • clean out litter tray
  • write check for dd's school trip

I also have to go to dd2's harvest school play at 9.30am which is dd3's nap time so that should be fun!

penguinsarecool · 21/10/2015 22:26
