Is anyone doing the January cure?

I first discovered it (thanks to MN!) for Jan 2014 but didn't do it - ended up having to move so wasn't really up for the tasks of 'wash floors, buy flowers' etc as had too much else to do.

However just got the email for Jan 2015 and I'm thinking, maybe I'll give it a go. Anyone else in?

I am in - not heard of it before but hoping this will keep me motivated during a month I normally find difficult. Thanks for starting the thread??

Me too! I keep a clean house but am glad for some new injection of motivation!

Yay! Glad it's not just me, as I'm fairly sure DH will think it's a bit weird

We have done a lot of decluttering over the years and now our home is quite organised and we keep it clean, however, I always feel like maybe I could make it better, or more efficient, and there are some tasks I want to do but haven't got round to (like cleaning the carpet), so I think something like this will spur me on and maybe give me some new ideas.

I need some kind of intervention!

Signed up too, we had a small fire in the kitchen earlier due to a stack of recycling. We really need to clear the excess from the house.

Does anyone know how it compares to flylady?

It's not similar. You do tackle small bits but it's not about building a routine from what I can see from last year.

I've got ahead of myself by deep cleaning the kitchen and emptying and decluttering the drawers. The sunshine is very motivating.

This sounds like a good idea. I need something to do to distract me from food while I diet and lose weight!

I could have a lovely clean home and be at least half a stone lighter by end of January.....[dreams]

I'm hoping it's pretty easy at first as dh doesn't go back to work till the 7th and he's not a huge help putting it mildly!

Is ths feasible if you work?! I've a small window each day for cleaning so it needs to be something quick!
