A new thread for a new week...

OP posts:
BarefootJasnem · 19/09/2006 12:45

The bed was my friends pine one, that she was going to put in a skip (we were sleeping on the floor before that) and I painted it to make it look new
The pictures are on a white board that keeps getting moved round the house. I took it down to decorate the dds room over a year ago, and keep asking dp to put it up. Next time he leaves his drill at home I will put it up properly I think.

Helloooooo FLYers.
Just popping in before going out again to pick ds's up from school!
Did a little bit in my room after took dd1 to pre-school.Put some bits in the loft!
I find it hard having no-one to notice things are improving!I still have a long way to go before being clutter free.
Don't you have to start the detailed cleaning list once the clutter is gone??

Told a friend about FLY lady today. She seemed keen. She has the same problems as many of us!
Great before and after pic jas.

JessaJam · 19/09/2006 18:33

Okay, knicker drawer is de-clutterd! No more tights with ladders and knickers I haven't worn for years...
What I need now is one of those drawer organiser thingys, but I'm buggared if I going to spend the best part of a tenner on a few strips of plastic!

shazronnie · 19/09/2006 18:35

I agree JJ; they are £7.50 in lakeland

RubyRioja, if you are sad, so am I, because DH (who started his own business a year ago, with me as company secretary) and I agreed yesterday to use the principles of flying for our company meetings and boring tasks - eg editing manuscripts, planning sessions etc.

So I have edited 3 chapters of a book today in 2 15 minute bursts and will do the same tomorrow. Also have a large bag of clothes I am unlikely to wear again ready to go to Help the Aged.

DontlookatmeImshy · 19/09/2006 20:12

jj i made my own draw dividers out of strips of carboard. I just cut up an old box, made strips, cut slits in them so they interlock and viola, drawers dividers.

Good post Ruby, you are not a saddo at all. I'm starting down the route of becoming a childminder and know I need to do alot of sorting/tidying/organising of the house and my life if I amgoing to make a success of it. I've been procrastinating for months, but now I'm taking the first steps it has spurred me on to get everything else sorted too,(although I doubt any potential mindees will be refling thru my knicker drawer )

Evening FLYers.
Finally i have 4 dc in bed!
Why oh why do they make soooooo much mess?? Going to take me all night to tidy it and i have the domestic abuse worker coming tomorrow so it has to be done!

My shoulders are killing from carrying dd2 in the back carrier.I think I sadly have to admit she's too heavy for it now(well for me to carry in it).

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 19/09/2006 20:37

Oh and i haven't got to my knicker draw yet!

crazydazy · 19/09/2006 20:42

hazelnuts · 19/09/2006 21:04

Hi FLYers. I have not done much today. I got up this am with no electic. I thought we all had a power cut. I got back from taking DS1 to school to find that others did have electic. I got straight on the phone to them. 1 hour later and they are going to send someone out. ^pm tonight and still no one. He got here at 7:27 I now have a key metre. The other 1 had gone wrong and he only had a key one left. They own me money now. I will Have to catch up tomorrow. I got a letter this am. DS2 can start school next week. They have a place for him I will get more FLYing done once he is at school full time.

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 19/09/2006 21:26

hazelnuts · 19/09/2006 21:32

No tv, now hoovering, washing, cooking with the oven, lights, just so much. I am going to jump in the bath now

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 19/09/2006 21:33
