im sure you look just great!

IvortheEngine · 17/09/2006 18:04

Ruby It's no problem, honestly! I'm still smiling to myself that dh and ds bought them thinking they were for me! I'm sat here in my to-the-knee mountaineering socks (poor circulation, you see) and merino wool mix nix; so how they'd have imagined me wearing them in Sept, I've no idea! I'm sure dd would have questioned it, but not those two! I hope you are able to source the right ones to complete your outfit.

Skribble. I've just looked and joined secular flylady Got the intro email, and have looked at some of the others. I like. Much easier to read and do, and no weird testamonials. Hoping it keeps going, then I will get rid of the US one.

My house is now so clean, that when dps uncle arrived with 1/2 hours notice, instead of running around cleaning, I made a cake

Ruby, I needto see you in your uniform. If you're shy just give us a headless pic

Hi all FLYers. I have had a great afternoon with the DC. We went to the park again, this time we took food with us and had our tea there. They loved it. DD is already asleep and DSs are in there PJs watching a bit of tv before bed time. The lounge is still looking good. Its great when you go out and they cant make it into a tip lol. Ds2 is good at putting toys away but Ds1 just waits for ds2 to do it.OR I say to put toys away and he says he needs the loo. Dunno how to stop that? DD well she just likes everything out. I have just got the kitchen to give the quick once over and then it me time.

hazelnuts · 17/09/2006 18:27

tortoise do thing sell well on ebay, I know you said your last lot have not sold but in the norm, is it ok? I give all my bits to the charity shops etc. I have tried selling in the shops in the past but no-one really wanted anything.

mummy2ashton · 17/09/2006 18:35

hiya! just checking in, not been about over the weekend, feeling a bit crappy and depressed lately. im sure i'll perk up again soon.
off to shine my sink, maybe that will make me feel better!
xxx

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 17/09/2006 18:36

Hi HN!
Sounds like a great day. We had rain today.Funny how weather can be so different a few miles away.We had no rain yest but you did!
I have sold quite a few bits so far.baby clothes don't go to well and top makes obviously sell better. But saying that ive listed gap trousers twice but they havn't sold(small pale pen mark) But jeans with faded knees have sold!
I have a few more ending tonight and have added 14 more items today so far!!
Its worth a try and doesn't cost too much to list items.

hazelnuts · 17/09/2006 19:03

tortoise, Its rainning here now It could be that we have the hills between us for the different weather. Where my sister lives they have rain all day.

Ok on the selling. I might give it a try the next time I have a load of bits to sell. I get lent loads of bits for DD. She has more cloths than the DSs and me put together.lol I do most of my buying in charity shops too. It helps them out as well as me I hate going in tesco or matalan. Great prices for cloths but I just want to buy it all. My DD would be like the Queen, a new outfit everyday

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 17/09/2006 19:05

lol! Im going in Tesco tomorrow(yeovil!) i only need white tights and white t-shirt for dd1! Will i come out with more than that??

hazelnuts · 17/09/2006 19:07

oops I forgot to say, that we had a great afternoon. Thanks as it was your park idea that gave me the idea of going to the park and have lunch down there. (ok it rained yesterday but today was great P

hazelnuts · 17/09/2006 19:11

I would be for sure tortoise. lol There are always things on offer. The last time I went in a had to get a hat I seen in there for DD. (she has loads already) It was only £1 and she looked so cute in it and I just had to have. hehe

shazronnie · 17/09/2006 21:32

hello, just popping my head in; nothing to report though

BBWBabeLisa · 17/09/2006 23:26

Why is it when DH is around I get so little done? Got zero done yesterday, so today I had to make a concerted effort to change that. I left the baby downstairs and told him to keep her entertained while I went up and sorted out my wardrobes. I had PILES of clothing all around the bedroom waiting to be put away, but I never seem to get around to it. I'll do about 6 loads of washing in a day, then theres so much stuff to put away it's overwhelming and I keep putting it off. I vow I WILL do a load of laundry every day to keep on top of this. As a result of all this activity today I now have a pile of ironing to do, but not so much that it'll take ages. I've drawn up a schedule for myself of when I'm going to do what. I haven't even managed to carry out step 2 and dress to my shoes yet, tomorrow I WILL! I'll set out my clothes for the morning tonight, can do that now that I have my clothes organised in my wardrobe instead of in massive piles.
I know it sounds bad, but much as I love him I'm actually looking forward to him going away on exercise for 6 weeks next month, I reckon I'll make so much progress (of course I'll probably whinge like mad that I miss him when the time comes but hey ho).
Big plus from today is that I now have a load of stuff to put on ebay this week. Big sizes always go down well.

Skribble · 17/09/2006 23:40

Tortoise have you had any more e.mails from secular flylady, I haven't.

As for date day it ended with me demanding he stop the car, I got out stormed back to my car and drove home (we had gone to pick his car up before going out for the day). He arrived back after a few hours (he went shopping), after a few hour I went off into town myself as nothing had been said, all the shops were shut so I bought a paper and sat and read it in the car.

I did go back home and we eventualy made up and went to get a takeaway and a video to take home, making up now spoiled a little by the fact he is now doing work when I thought we might cuddle up after the film, so here I am on the PC
