ditto BJ
Welcome, have you FLYed before?

notquitegoodenough · 15/09/2006 21:09

I have tried, like a few here have said gave up after getting overwhelmed with emails.

House fairly clean sometimes but sometimes not.

Want it to be reasonable most of the time instead of one or the other.

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 15/09/2006 21:12

Welcome.
Nice of you to pop in.
My house is crap but when my CAFCASS woman asked to use my loo I just thought thanks god i flew in there this week!!

sorkycake · 15/09/2006 21:13

the emails are enough to drive you potty aren't they?
Well hop aboard, the missions are good (not bathroom, apparently ) and someone usually will post what the days jobs are first thing on a morning, until then it's babysteps, decluttering and sink shining!
Add your stats to the other thread too if you like

Skribble · 15/09/2006 21:15

Well Kelly's mission complete. I only went for a pee and that basket of dead flowers sarted laughing and taunting me so I opened the window and flung it beside the bins (it is ground floor) .

That left a big mucky space, so I cleaned the whole cistern top and the shelf behind it and the shelf over the sink.

Ok you can all come for a pee as long as you don't look behind the door .

BarefootJasnem · 15/09/2006 21:18

sorkycake. You are only the second person to shorten me to BJ since I lost my shoes. One more and I'll have to do another name change I think

tortoise - yay for the clean bathroom. I've had times when you let someone in and then make an excuse to go up so I can clean it up a bit
Not a crap mum (can't remeber your name but you know who you are) the baby steps have really helped me, plus the support on here. I usually just delete all the emails without reading them (but I am getting them again after almost a week without)

Skribble · 15/09/2006 21:34

Gosh very quiet tonight isn't it, all out on dates then??

sorkycake · 15/09/2006 21:37

OH MY GOD

pmsl, I've just realised, sorry

hazelnuts · 15/09/2006 21:40

Welcome from me as well

I have done all that I am going to do today now. I have finished all the ironing but not put it away yet. Kitchen is cleaned wiped and the sink is shining Dc went to bed and then I had a bath. I had to get out thought as the phone was ringing. (why do they always ring when you are in the bath? I missed it by the time I got to it. But then it rings again, answer phone. Its the xp1 saying that he cant have the DSs tomorrow as hes working all weekend. Must be a new job as he does not work. Now I am going to have a DS1 who will be upset that he cant go tomorrow. He will have a go at me as he wont be going. I was having a good day too. Any body else get days like today?

hazelnuts · 15/09/2006 21:45

BarefootJasnem said the right thing there notquitegoodenough. You have to look on the bright side. Love yourself and remember that you are loved.

JessaJam · 15/09/2006 23:20

Date night total wash out. DH fast asleep on sofa by about 8pm after admitting he hadn't eaten since wednesday. Hard to have much "together" time when one of you is unconscious!!

Have discovered another benefit of FLYing...keeping the sink shiny means it can actually be used to wash up in! Prior to FLY my sink was so mucky that I used to was up under a running tap most of the time [deep, deep shame] therefore using lots of water. Now I just use half a sink full or less for each washup. Must earn some green points!

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 15/09/2006 23:24

Aww jessa.
My date has been here playing eye spy!!!!
Must get to bed I have 4 dc to wake me up early in the morning!

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 15/09/2006 23:24

Should said me sitting here playing eye spy.

JessaJam · 15/09/2006 23:30

[self pity]

shazronnie · 15/09/2006 23:36

I got in from work at 11pm.
DH was bored and peed off, and proceeded to moan about never spending anytime with me.
Then he f*cked off to the pub.

date night anyone?

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 15/09/2006 23:38

Has anyone had a good date night??

Really am off to bed now! Night FLYers.See you sometime tomorrow.(least family fun day is easier!!)

JessaJam · 15/09/2006 23:39

Whose twisted idea was this "date night" malarkey anyway?

singersgirl · 15/09/2006 23:41

Kind of, though DH is now asleep in bed while I am on here - he did get back from Malaysia early this morning though. I lit lots of candles and we had a nice meal on our proper (finally clear table) and then watched an episode of "Boys from the Black Stuff", which put a dampener on any romantic thoughts.

But still it was nice and adult and tidy!!!

shazronnie · 16/09/2006 07:31

Good morning!
I'm going up to get dressed noisily because I am annoyed at DH for coming in at 3:30am.
I think my hair will need blowdrying....[evil emoticon]

Then some noisy flylady; isn't saturday when I have to hoover the whole house before 9am?

BarefootJasnem · 16/09/2006 07:57

Morning,
DPs idea of date night was coming home from the pub at 10 and making me toast. He frequently stays out all night on a Friday, so that is actually quite good.

I did have more fun playing i spy with tortiose, though

DDs got the playdoh out (again)last night and left it on the floor all night, so we have bits of hard dough all over the floor. Going to do lots of FLYing this morning, as baby is happy.(And may hoover the bedroom, as dp said he'd get up and let me have a lie in thenn didn't.

tamsino · 16/09/2006 08:00

Morning all.

No date but curled up on sofa with dh in front of tv.

Off on a boat trip with dh and dd today.

welcome new member. no crap mums here - just stressed out ones.

have a good day all.

mummyhill · 16/09/2006 09:19

Date night involved me being at work till midnight?!!!

No flying yesterday and none today as I go into work at 11 and finish at 8 so will just come home do dinner and collapse into bed.

ParanoidAndroid · 16/09/2006 09:23

Morning all - our date night was spent lying in bed discussing a possible new landrover purchase, poring over magazine articles and stuff printed from the internet, listening to DH drone on and on and on and on.....

So, he set off this morning at 7.30am to go and see said landrover, and I have a lovely sick son, plus a sick dog to deal with.

But hey, I'm up for the challenge! I think our family 'fun' day might not be quite as fun as planned!!!

IvortheEngine · 16/09/2006 09:35

Okay. I'm the one who drops in once or twice a week. I haven't joined Flylady yet but I will try to nab dh in passing so that he can help me with the Yahoo thing. Can someone say, please, (in plain English - I get confused easily!) what is on today's list? TIA

asleep · 16/09/2006 10:06

the only flying i've done so far today is 10 minutes in the utility room . can't see much difference though.
