aww, dame - felt like that last night - think this whole process kind of sensitises you to how much you want to do - however much you try & chant 'baby steps, baby steps'. I found it helped last night to put the timer to 15 mins and do some intense clutter-busting - then I could see things were genuinely better. ANd ignore anyone else's opinion!!

Anyhow, v excited about bathroom sone - the only room I actually like cleaning, so feels like I should be able to toally sort it in a week (whereas kitchen is clearly going to take a few weeks to totally declutter...)Although home-blessing going nowhere fast so far & just off to playgrp.

BTW, have been amusing myself with 'flybaby-appropirate singing' whilst cleaning - from (my personal fave) 'everybody says I'm pretty fly' to the REM classic 'shiny happy sinks' - anyone want to join in?!

Morning all.
Feeling a bit better today.(sorry if i pasted it on through cyber space!)

Wow tr your sounding very positive! Well done.

Im feeling positive this morning, hope i keep it up!
Looking good Shaz.Ive been thinking of looking at the body clutter too.I need to lose about 2 stone. But mainly tone up the flabby bits. Its getting me down that 16 jeans fall down but most 14 jeans won't do up!(or leave a muffin top!)

Dame my house is still a mess but i know im clearing it.Took 2 bags to charity shop this week.

Have 2 bags of plastic and glass to take to recycle today.I always mean to do it before i have too much but never do it!! Now i will struggle to carry it but i have to get rid now!

Flamesparrow · 11/09/2006 09:56

It loses all effect when you can see the diningroom - and we only got given one bloody day in there!!! Hurumph.

shazronnie · 11/09/2006 09:59

damewashalot; you are achieving! BUT MEN ARE OBLIVIOUS!

can you post some photos for us? then we can all pat you on the back and tell you how lovely it is when it's done!

Flamey - here is your pat on the back!!

I've nearly done my weekly blessing, but now the kids have insisted on doing some glueing - eek!

shazronnie · 11/09/2006 10:06

just printed off the body clutter investigator - basically a tool to help you adopt a more healthy lifestyle.

Don't know if i can be bothered to fill it in!

Flamesparrow · 11/09/2006 10:06

Hello all

Don't feel down damewashalot - babysteps, and tell him to F Off! Hope you got your lo off to school. Don't worry about crying, you wouldn't have been the only one even if it felt like it.

I'm at work all week so won't be doing much flying. I did my weekly home blessing yesterday and will try and leave the house each morning with beds made and a shiny sink. Keep forgetting to swish and swipe though and it has just dawned on me thats why we need a control journal!

Liking everyones piccies and tortoise - can't wait to see the afters of that "area"

My bathroom currently a work in progress being tiled and decoartated so probably not much I could've done anyway and will be too tired tonight.

Tortoise - I think we should do stats again too for all the new people etc

I am 38, DP 39 - two DDs (mine) 10 and 6 - currently pregnant (only 6 weeks) and it will be DPs first. Live in Lincolnshire.

julezboo · 11/09/2006 10:49

My DH sat me down on Sunday to tell me that he thinks my 'sink shining' is getting a bit out of hand!!!! And that it wouldn't hurt if we went to bed with stuff left on the kitchen work surfaces......but then he said 'so, shall we wash up then'!!!!! Men!!!

Olipop · 11/09/2006 10:51

Stats - 29, dp 33, ds 7 months

Flamesparrow · 11/09/2006 10:54

calebsmummy · 11/09/2006 11:15

Morning all!

Haven't done anything much this morning (except chatting to Flame on Messenger) bit will endeaveour to get something done in the next hour before picking up Ds2.

I did the playroom yesterday though when I find my lead to connect camera to puter I shall do some pictures for you. Kitchen quite reasonable...ooh I lied, I swished and swiped in the bathroom this morning, but will clean it properly when the boys have their bath later. In fact the whole house isn't too terrible at all, which is lovely for a Monday (normally a tip after the weekend)

Dame, keep going Honey, you WILL get there, it just won't happen immediately. I do find getting the kitchen clean a huge incentive to getting the rest of the house tidy. I just feel if I am on top of that room, which could potentially be the worst, I can cope with everything else.

Right off to empty dishwasher (still working and reload, and then put on a load of washing.

Oh and stats are Me 33, DH 34, DS's 12, 3 and 21 months.

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 11/09/2006 11:16

The area is being worked on now! Won't take long.

Stats-28,Single mum of 4. DS1 9,DS2 6,DD1 3 and DD2 2.
DS's currently live with xp1 because xp2 was abusive towards DS1.(xp2 dad to DD's.)Court case for residency of the DS's should end 1st Nov.
Live in Somerset.

calebsmummy · 11/09/2006 11:19

And men really don't get anything do they! My DH has noticed that I am a lot brighter though when the house is tidy. But I take back what I said the other day about him keeping the kitchen clean...he left his breakfast things out this morning, with mutterings from me that it surely wasn't too much to ask for him to move them off the table...and he did sod all to help clear up after dinner yesterday, went off to his friends to watch recorded Superbikes race...at 6.30....ummm excuse me, bathtime AND bedtime and clearing up time for me [angry}

He's at work today though, so I won't get cross...cos I can't.

calebsmummy · 11/09/2006 11:21

Oooh Tortoise, I am from Somerset (don't live there now, but most of our families still do) in Hants now.

JessaJam · 11/09/2006 11:27

Morning all! My sink is shiny, even if there is still washing up to do on the sideboard! DS had a bit of a whingy evening yesterday - that's my excuse! I think I'm on day 21 of babysteps!! This may be the most long-standing good habit I have ever had!

Will admit I'm not sticking to it religiously, but I am allowing myself to be flexible not perfect, and can always pick it up again the next day .

Stats: 28, dh 29, ds 13 months. Live in Plymuff.

BarefootJasnem · 11/09/2006 11:37

Being able to fail, and then pick up again the next day is one of the things that's keping me going.

Stats: Me 36 (37on Wed) DP 39, DDs 5&7, DS 6 months.

Chloe55 · 11/09/2006 11:37

Why is it that I have been washing constantly for about a week now (approx 4 loads a day) and I still have a bin full!! Grrr

BarefootJasnem · 11/09/2006 11:37

Oh yes, and Tescos had no suitable mouse so its still on my shopping list.
