Zoo that sounds like a nightmare, can't people lobby the council to get your hill gritted, or has it already been tried?

I didn't rush back after volley ball and only actually came home before shopping for DDs to de-sand, but I hadn't missed the bin menGrin, so I quickly shoved the dustbin out for collection. Then went shopping for DD's groceries.
Bought puppy food at vet's, booked dogs in for Thurs. and puppies in for holiday. Found out OH didn't pay for the last lot of puppy food, I really shouldn't have been surprised. Couldn't pay today as his card reader thingy isn't working.

Emptied WM and put towels on to wash
Put shopping away

Tried to let DDs get on with lunch, only helping when asked, they did well.
Swept kitchen floor a squillions times, they made a cheese cake which needed crushed biscuits. Then moped a squillions times, they did salad and dripped juice from the tomatoes everywhere and the ants we're all over in secondsAngry

Ate lunch

Cleaned kitchen
Helped DD2 assemble her masterpiece of a cheese cake
Put cheese cake in the fridge to chill
Cleaned kitchen
Flicked switch on DW
Haven't taken towels out of WM yet, and sheets are still on the line, meh.

Still need to chop tracky bottoms, DDs have ruined yet another pair of scissors so I bought another pair today. Once the bottoms are chopped I can use them without tripping myself upGrin
Put towels on line, bring sheets in
Feed dogs
Eat dinner can't face thinking about it now as we didn't have lunch until four o'clock Shock
Remove ghastly dayglo orange nail varnish, didn't have time this morningBlush
Prep for tomorrow.
Shower before bed

AdoraBell · 23/01/2013 00:30

Update

Sheets are in
Towels on the line
DDs have made salmon fish cakes fom scratch
DW emptied, reloaded and on again
Bin emptied again
Kitchen floor swept-again
Fish Cakes and frozen chips are in the oven
DDs have had 10 minutes playing volley ball

Dogs still need to be fed

I'm about fit to drop, DDs have livened up now that it's late and cooling down help!

AdoraBell · 23/01/2013 02:58

Aaaarrrrgggghhh, bloody quakes! Just had one that rocked the house for about a minute. Normaly I'm okay with them but with OH away I don't think I'll sleep now. DDs didn't wake up, too tired to notice I think. I'm going to empty and reload the DW. Dogs are fed, I've been over fed by DDsGrin. Might have a cup of tea although I really shold go to bed.

Oh well, see you all tomorrow.

HellesBelles396 · 23/01/2013 07:08

hope you managed some sleep adora

Scout19075 · 23/01/2013 09:13

Hope you're okay, Adora.

SmallBoy is poorly. He was up for over three hours last night trying to get back to sleep. I've bailed on our forest school for today, choosing a PJs and television day over freezing ourselves and struggling with a SB who hates snow even when he's well. Not sure what sort of flying will be done during the day but MrScout is late tonight so might be able to do a bit after SB is in bed for the night.

HellesBelles396 · 23/01/2013 09:44

Poor SB Scout - you do right having a jahmie day!

educatingarti · 23/01/2013 10:56

Morning everyone!
Another slow start Sad but I'm now breakfasted, showered and dressed, with a load of washing in the machine and now ready to work once I've finished catching up on MN !

BlackCatinChaos · 23/01/2013 11:24

Hi all, had a few computer /internet problems so just popping in to let you know I am o.k.

Hope everyone is doing alright.
Bye for now x

Scout19075 · 23/01/2013 11:45

Postman nearly made SB and I jump out of our skins (we were sitting quietly watching Big Barn Farm). Second package of the day arrived (first was an eBay package through the mail slot Wink). Still need to get to the post office to collect the potty toilet seat and step stool -- think it will be tomorrow if we go swimming.

I'm sooo cold!

educatingarti · 23/01/2013 11:53
Wink
Scout19075 · 23/01/2013 11:56

Postman nearly made SB and ME jump out of our skins...

Gah

Scout19075 · 23/01/2013 12:00

What is it about Numtums that SB loves so much?!?! Yesterday we watched "Number 5" at least a dozen times. Today we've watched "Number 6" three times so far and he wants it again but I've convinced him to take a break from it.

AdoraBell · 23/01/2013 13:29

Scout hope SB feels more lively very soon.

Cats hello

Artie I'm also having a slow motion morning.

Ta Da's

Woke up in time to have a shower (skipped it last night after the tremor)
Coffee
Roused DDs
Did their breakfast, I still feel full from yesterday's feasts
Dogs fed and watered
Dropped DDs at volley ball
Phoned company to do the windscreen
Coffee

Still To Do

More coffee
Take car to be inspected
Shopping with DDs
Try to get birthday gift for OH ( what he wants may be too expensive, I'll have to see)

I slept very lightly. Normally I'm quite relaxed about the whole thing. I didn't fancy the idea of needing to exit the shower rapidly in the middle if the night, mainly because the big quake we had a few years ago stuck just before 4am, I kind of expect it to happen again IYSWIM. Anyway, it didn't happen again so I'm getting on with my day Grin just with a bit more coffee than normal.

HellesBelles396 · 23/01/2013 17:05

So I have cubs and scouts tonight so my to do list is just to do them and go home to bed. I realised that setting myself more to do than work for over 8 hours, pick up ds, run cub meeting and help scout meeting just isn't feasible!

AdoraBell · 23/01/2013 23:11

Well done Helles, it takes time for all of us to come to our senses and realise that we just can't do 25 hour's work each dayWink

Went out, ate lunch were we've eaten before, DDs had the same thing they've had before. When DD1 started vomiting an hour ago she said "the chicken was nice, but it did feel different." She looks much better now she's rid of most of it.

Tried to book car in but they can't hold the only windscreen they currently have for this model until Feb, which is when I can leave DDs at home and leave the car in town for a whole day. Insurance is going to pay so it'll just be whatever deductible they apply. I need to e-mail them to ok it 2/3 days ahead.

So, bathroom floor mopped twice in the last our, first load of towels on a very hot wash. Of course DD2 will need to eat, I feel a picnic coming on.

Scout19075 · 24/01/2013 07:44

I went to bed at 8:15 last night and was asleep by 8:25. Bliss. Grin

liveinazoo · 24/01/2013 11:13

liveinazoo · 24/01/2013 11:15

sorry for the numerous spekking mistakes

AdoraBell · 24/01/2013 12:07

Yep, cold will do that to your brain Zoo, do you have any hats? Glad the gritting was done, but 4 am Shock

DD1 is feeling better this morning, thank you, but very tired. We ended up sleeping on the bathroom floor. I can't pick her up ( she's the size of a small adult) and she couldn't pick herself up so I had to manoeuvre her onto mats to keep her off the tiles.

So, fumigation has been moved to next week.

I do have some Ta Da's to report because I was doing stuff in the wee small hours of today Smile

WM on, 3 times during the night
Towels put on airer in kitchen
Up and made drinks for DD1 and myself
Helped DD1 make her way from bathroom to lounge
WM on again once she'd vacated the bathroom mats-DD is now settled on the sofa for a snooze.
Called fumigators to reschedule

Still need to cancel vet collecting dogs, oh and feed the poor beasts- they kinda got forgotten yesterday. Still they've only missed 1 meal and have access to water, I'm condfiident of their survival in such conditionsSmile

Hi everyone, apologies for being MIA - had a hard 3 days at work, still have my cold (or perhaps it's another one?), disturbed nights with both DDs & late nights for DH's birthday.

Consequently, the house was a tip, but managed to get a lot of it into the recycling bins last night. Hopefully, once DD1 & I have sorted the toys out so I can vacuum things will look a lot better.

Sorry to hear about all the poorly DC - fx they have all bounced back tomorrow.

I had better go - I can smell a stinky nappy!

AdoraBell · 25/01/2013 13:45

Just a quick update -DD1 is much better today. Still doesn't want to eat but the sense of humor is backGrin and she's taking líquida too.
