Hi all, After a pretty rough ride last year (2012) I think I feel ready to start again with babysteps
So who's with me for the journey?

I got up and managed to have a coffee and speak to the bank before DDs woke up, which feels oddly like a victory.

Write up To Do list for Monday, the Kitchen Fairies have brought me ants. Unfortunately here it's not as simple as keeping sides and floor etc clean and food put away, they invade in their billions and get under their house, inside walls, everywhere, so I need to call the fumigators. Also need to arrange for dogs to be at vets for deworming etc instead of at home when the fumigation takes place.

Other than that I will be relaxing with DDs

Wrapping -- I was originally going to do miniature gin with a miniature tonic and some G&T truffles (homemade) and was trying to figure out the best way to wrap it nicely. However, I have found pre-mixed G&Ts in a can so am going to get those instead (works out cheaper anyway). I also found a sweets/candy box that should hold the can of G&T and some truffles (either truffle balls in a silver case or miniature heart truffles tied up in little sweets baggies). Wrapping sorted.

Really must send some emails and do some forms tonight. Gah! Must also really do some cutting and tracing and more cutting, etc. Ask me if I can be arsed. Go on, ask. NO I CANNOT!

Went out for three hours by myself today. BLISS. HobbyCraft, however, no longer sells candle making stuff and essential oil. Gah! How am I meant to make my room refreshers and bin deodorizers?!

Aaaarrrrgggghhh! Windscreen cracked on the OH's car today, it'll need replacing. Well, at least with school hols we don't need two cars every day.

Scout three hours solo sounds like abslolute bliss, glad you were able to enjoy that today.

Just flicked over to one of those programmes about hoarders, frightening. This one is the worst I've seen. Family moved back to look after Grandma who then died, now kids are walking over food packages in every room and sweeping cockroaches off everything, dad's moved out but DCs not old enough to follow. Mum isn't capable of facing up to it. Hope the family can get help.

Adora re windscreen! Hope it doesn't cost too much to replace.

I've just had a Drs appointment cancelled this morning but had got up early in anticipation of it so now I have some extra time to go back to bed get on with more stuff!

It is snowing heavily here at the moment.

Morning all, it is trying to snow here, kind of a mix of sleet and snow but some snow has landed. I like snow to look at but if you need to get around it can be a bit of a problem. Saying that though the ice is worse cause DD nearly slipped over a couple of times today. She was getting quite worried about it --so was I-- . DS on the other hand thought it was all fun!

Not completely sure what to do today. I could go into town but the weather lately has been putting me off.

I do have lots of jobs to do at home - tidying up after the weekend, washing etc.

Morning everyone. Yay snow at last. The dcs and I have had a blast on the way to school today. :)

I've got loads to catch up on today. I'm really bad at letting things slide over the weekend. I think my focus has to be my kitchen today though. I always feel better when it's clean and tidy.

was 4 days badgering befre virgin sorted phone and tv
kids got sent home early friday as snowed allday and some the teachers were worried wouldnt be able to get home
saturday it snowed a bit more and i plodded on with sifting through the dcs rooms
sunday snowed allday again.we have had around 10+cm altogether and as we live halfway up a hill that doesnt get gritted i hate going out
schools round here are all closed today and the kids are cooped up and going crazy
we ventured out yesterday and made a snowman/sledged
hot baths onesys and hot chocolate all round on our return

on teh flying front ive cleaned both dcs bedrooms,moving all furniture.i just have the dreaded toy cupboards to do
bathroom has also been cleaned to within an inch of its life!

"snow" has been just that bit to warm and sleety to settle here, although it may well settle if any more falls now as the temperature has started to drop.

Hi all, am I the only one with proper snow? I could see patches of lawn after DH & DD1 made their snowman yesterday, but it's all white again today. Lots of schools closed or late opening here today. Luckily, the furthest we had to go was walking to the corner shop!

I feel like I have done loads today, not quite sure how!

• cleaned bathroom (well, half - I did half last week)
• vacuumed everywhere
• house blessing done (excluding mopping the kitchen floor)
• scrubbed & bleached loos
• got out of the house (went to shop)
• bought & wrote bday cards for DH, and wrapped his presents
• made & decorated cakes for DHs bday (this is why I didn't bother mopping the kitchen floor)
• WM x 3 TD x 2
• blog updated
• sink clean
• bath & facepack (now on)

Once I've washed this stuff off my face I just need to do my hair. In the morning I need to pop a few more things in the girls bags, and make myself a sarnie for work (contents: their rejected tea!)

Oooh, and I have drunk an extra 6 glasses of water/squash today than I usually would. Am thinking that dehydration is the reason why I have been so headachy recently - no headache so far today!

bessie, we have a few inches of snow here in East Anglia. Unfortunately SB hates standing/walking on it so tomorrow we'll be stuck inside unless I plop him in his stroller.

We are in EA too scout - sorry to hear SB still doesn't like the snow (DD1 hated it until last year when we dragged her round the garden for hours on the sledge), but great to hear he was so good when you were out the other day

SB ended up doing about six projects, some of which require drying time. As soon as they're dry I'll hang them up and take pictures, etc., which will probably be lunchtime. Veggie cutting and meat marinade-ing will probably happen around lunch time as well. I could go do them now but I need 15 minutes to sit before going onto the next job/s.

I doubt post office will happen today since SB still HATES walking in the snow and the stroller is too hard to push through it/on the icy underneath. If it was critical I would but no point in going out to pick up a potty seat that we're not going to use yet. I can always send MrScout tomorrow morning before work.

SB was in bed late (about 8/8:15) last night and up stupidly early (5:30) so I fully expect some tv/cuddle time later for us both to just chill/have quiet time.

Last year OH was twitchy about the cost until I showed him the little buggers were come out from under an internal wall. So far I'm keeping them at bay until back-up arrives on Thurs.
