Hi all, After a pretty rough ride last year (2012) I think I feel ready to start again with babysteps
So who's with me for the journey?

Old and new steppers are welcome!

Lets do this one small step at a time!

Morning all,

had a bad time recently but hoping things will get better now. DD had a bad case of Flu followed by a chest infection Sad but is starting to get back to normal now. Smile

I feel the need to try and regain some control of my house again. Might not manage to check in often but will try.

Having breakfast at the mo but will then be off to get dressed. Wink

Hope everyone is o.k. Smile

Good to see you Cats, hope DD gets better very soon. How is your wrist now?

Things are ticking over here, morning routine is done, DDs packed off to school, I'm having a quiet coffee before leaping into action. Our hot water is playing up, the boiler doesn't get serviced because here they just don't, and it's a fancy pants forrin bit of kit. This all means that when we have a week or two of cloudy weather, like now, we have no hot water.

Today I have phone calls to make and then general keeping on top of things and clearing tat and toot out.

Good to see you again cats and scout!

zombie - how did you get on in the kutchen?

we're off on holiday tomorrow, so I have the day of work to sort things out & pack DH wants me to pick the kids up from nursery (so he can work late) & I have a HUGE list of things to do. Have made the executive decision that my (slighly minging) hair is fine for going to the supermarket, so that's one less thing I have to do this morning!

BlackCatinChaos · 04/04/2013 09:11

Morning all, I am up showered and dressed Yay! Smile --this is progress for this time of day in holiday mode-- I still need to have breakfast.

My wrist is in a support strap after I had an agonizing pain in it yesterday. I have been to the doc on numerous occasions about it, they won't xray it. Hmm Confused All they say is I should rest it, almost impossible when you are the main carer/housekeeper. This been going on since June last year!
I am going to try to rest it but someone has to look after everything. DH has a week off from tomorrow so hopefully he will help out.
Maybe I will have to start using paper plates Wink

bessie hope you have a lovely holiday! Smile

Adora you have my sypathies about the lack of hot water.

Welcome zombie Smile

Such weird weather -- very glad I decided we were having an at home day of tackling the house, games & toys and CBeebies. I have been on fire this morning.

Hallo iZombie-digging the nameSmile!

we have had a disaster strikeSad-
scoutcat went out on monday morning and dissapeared-id planned ot check in here at lunchtime but spent most day hunting locally for him in tearsanyway i heard him jump up to open the front door at 9.30pm

he came in wild eyed, tale thick and jumped at every soundSad
i suspect he has been shut in somewhere or tormented by kids as tuesday morning he was fearful of zoolets, evgrowl and spit at them by teatime he was climbing on me a lot and rub endlessly round my face like when we first got him from the rescue centre so i spent allday reasurring him and keep zoolets away from him...today he ran out after us when we went to shops and he followed up on a 20min walk howling allway, refusing to let me pick up and take home..he was panting with fear on the way back and had to keep stopa nd lay down, the zollets were sobbing and i was frightened he was gune have a heart attackSadSad

on flying front i have managed to get front room back and relocated worksurfaces in kitchen

todays ta dahs
fed dcs
fed cats
swish bathroom
shopping/shepherding cat home
snack
shopping away
hotspot front room

scoutcat now akip on sofa now
dcs are upstairs wrecking bedrooms playing playmobil pirates and dinosaurs

good to see cats about
bessie will dig out recipe and post either later today or tomorrow

We had hot water yesterday afternoon, yay, so I had a nice hot shower, double yayGrin. Of course it's foggy this morning and due to be overcast so I don't hold out much hope for today or tomorrow.

Zoo poor cat, would it be worth seeing the vet or is it just a case of reassuring him?

Cats do you use the support only when it's painful? Could be you need it more long term. I know it's frustrating when Drs refuse to X-ray.

My morning routine is done, I need some breakfast now. Teddy Bear is back from the vet and looking goodGrin

Will update later

BlackCatinChaos · 05/04/2013 01:03

Hi all, I got up cause I went to bed really early and then I woke up and DH was snoring Hmm.

Adora Yes but I think I might try to wear it more often. I have to take it off to wash up etc. DH needs to be nagged at sometimes before he helps out. I do appreciate it when he helps but I sometimes wish I didn't need to ask him.
I feel that he goes out to work so I should do most of the other stuff but it is a bit hard when you are sporting various health issues.

Zoo 1.00 club might be good but I still have DD home in the afternoons till September then she starts school.
We could give it a try. Wink
Hope scoutcat is o.k. now.

Smile
