Hi all, After a pretty rough ride last year (2012) I think I feel ready to start again with babysteps
So who's with me for the journey?

Old and new steppers are welcome!

Lets do this one small step at a time!

Will he be in for the weekend? Hope the matron gets things sorted for you.

We took DD2 for her quarterly appointment at ENT this morning, they've said she can have grommets if we want, but neither DH or I are keen on it as the recurrent infections aren't affecting her speech or hearing.

I need to do the usual tidy-up & vacuum when she has her nap and i also want to make some chocolately coconut ball things with DD1 Grin

Thanks for the muffins bessie! Dad loves chocolate Grin
Yes he will be in for the weekend. I hope things will be OK. Today we have had agreements that care was not acceptable, assurances that things will be put right and that investigations will be taking place into what went wrong! I feel somewhat reassured but worried still that they won't do what they have said they will!

hope you are keeping records of who said what/when arti (just incase you need to remind anyone)

My afternoon didn't go as planned - DD2 didn't nap, so didn't get anything much done other than run round with the hoover. I did manage to get them both into bed by 7 though (DH is out tonight).
Right now I am supposed to be doing next week's meal plan while waiting for tesco shop to be delivered - are any of you on twitter? there's a wine tasting party at 8:30 tonight!

Had a few days off after feeling rather too tired for bloody housework, feeling better now thoughGrin

DD, not saying which oneWink, wet her bed a couple of night's ago. AARRRRGGGGGH, they are 11, you'd think I wouldn't need to be washing mattresses now. Not double mattresses anyway, which is what she has. I've left bicard on it under the bedding as I didn't get around to removing it today while I was out doing errands.

Morning routine currently includes school run too. Laundry is up to date, bathrooms are S&S'd, dogs still know this as home, not starved or whithered up in despair of ever getting a biscuit again and kitchen looks remarkably well, all things considered.

Will update tomorrow after I've done some sorting.

Hi everyone!

Have just about been keeping on top of things here, but doesn't really feel like I've been making much decluttering progress other than the baby clothes that were in the loft (which I couldn't see anyway!)

Am swanning off to have haircut & facial today but am going to try to spend at least 15min in the dumping dining room later in the hope that it's not actually as bad as it looks....

Hello, may I join? I've a house full of horrible and am slowly throwing things out, finding homes for other stuff and crawling out of it one bag at a time:)

Welcome aboard iZombie love the name!

I've only done 1 load in the WM, was overcast and so water wasn't fully hot and I don't want to waste what I have. DDs have decluttered more of their stuff, DD1 a small cupboard lazy tyke, that one DD2 a double cupboard. 2 big bin bags of actual rubbish and a few bags of recycling. Food's been eaten, they've picked up all the mini eggs from around the house.

Still need to prep packed lunches, drinks are in the freezer
Do some dinner later
Feed dogs, again
Nag DDs to get their bags ready for school
Get their nail varnish off
Wash my hair, water not hot enough this am
Blitz the kitchen and declutter some vino before bed.

My big two are out tomorrow, so the small one and I might do the other half of the bathroom. Threw out a lot of stuff earlier, but the cosmetics bucket needs gutting and I could do with taking an angle grinder to the underside of the sink where the kids hide toothpaste:/

My kitchen is a mess, but everyone has eaten and all I need to do for packed lunches in the morning is slice off a bit off chicken and rinse some lettuce. I'm sitting up to check the TV just after midnight to see if our clocks here are changing. The powers that be delayed it again and I can't find any info.

Spilt red wine upstairs this evening, I'll have open a bottle of white now to clean upGrin

I played ball with DDs for a while but our game was cut short by me whacking my forehead on the rather sturdy metal gate[bublush]

School run tomorrow am, then bak to have a whizz round before collecting OH from his long haul flight.

Sounds like you've done very well Zoo well done and I'm glad you're feeling more positive.

Bessie how did the hair/facial go?

See you all tomorrow

welcome!

Like the wine mixing adora - has that got anything to do with you walking into the gate? [buwink]

Yes please to recipe zoo We made chocolate nests on sat & I want to attempt hot cross buns later (need to go re-read recipe to check how difficult it sounds!!)

Hair/facial on sat was lovely thanks. DH was most peeved that I I considerately booked it for a Saturday when the golf course was open, but hey-ho!

I dragged EVERYTHING out from under our bed this morning. Forget about dust-bunnies, there were dust-elephants under there! Got DH to vacuum everywhere (this is supposed to be his weekend chore, but he needs reminding) and then threw the windows open as we have SUNSHINE! [Bugrin]

Now I have to have a quick look at the 3 bags of clothes [bublush] that were hiding under the bed. Sorting them properly will be a job for another day (I CBA to try stuff on right now) but I'm hoping I might be able to identify some items to go straight to the charity pile.

I'm at work tues/weds so prob won't get much chance to post. Got Thursday off (child-free) though - yay! After tidying our bedroom today, our dumping dining room is looking even worse. I figured that if we were going to have a messy room, it may as well contain ALL the mess, right? #hopeful. Bedroom looks good though.

Hello Cats hope you get some Z's very soon, wassup?

Bessie absolutely all mess in one room, 'specially of you can close the door[buwink]

Ta Da's

Morning routine, and school run
Back home to shower- no bleeding hot water
Fed dogs
Tidied kitchen
Emptied DW and refilled, flicked the switch
Made bed
S&S'd bathroom
Went to airport, OH's plane was an hour late so after loitering on by the stairs I gave up and got a coffee
Back home with OH, but minus OH's luggage. Change over in Brazil didn't leave time to transfer luggage from 1st plane to 2nd, but they told him they had, so he waited at the carousel.
Spot of lunch
School run- realised that DD1 isn't just being lazy, she told a friend she's making mess all over the house because she doesn't want to move - her reasoning is no one wants to buy a pigsty, but we still need to sell it.
Back home
Looked through house details OH brought back from UK, not that we can do anything unless this sells.
Dinner

Still to do,

Assemble packed lunch for tomorrow, pasta for salad is cooked and cooling.
Feed dogs again
Make sure DD's bags are ready for tomorrow
Sit down with a vino - Bessie I head butted the gate before the vino, still rather sore today, but no headache

Loving your name Adora, a favourite character:)

Yesterday was a bust here. Had to do an out of the house day. Once my painkillers kick in today I'm waging war in the kitchen. Need to set the magic breadbox going so have to find some counter space for it. More laundry as well. Mind you, with three kids and a tendency to hoarde there's always laundry to do:o
