I thought it was time for a new Autumnal thread for all slatterns.

This thread is welcome to all who like to write lists or have loads of jobs to get done or if you need a kick up the bum for motivation. Also good for support with relationships, random advice on moths and birthday cakes!

I don't have time for a list right now but I have plenty to do!

I tried Flylady in the past but I think maybe I fit more in with the "slattern" category

I am trying to juggle being a mum to 2 DC, attempting to be an artist and keep a house from descending into chaos. A bit hard not to drop some of the balls!

Off to pick up DD from nursery in a mo!

We are less 'hardcore' than fly lady.

I have 2xDC, work full time and have got hideous period pain today .

The others will be by in a bit. They are probably also juggling

I do lists all the time....... never actually finished one though..... am a complete slattern....

I have 2 girls 10 and 11, a part time job as a mid-day in school and find many many, many excuses not to do anything much....... I ALWAYS need a kick up the bum for motivation!! always......

Hi all, just going to have a before the school run.
I feel like I haven't done much today but seem to have been busy

I suppose I have been spending a good half hour or so trying to get DD to potty train (still no success) and was out for an hour or 2 this morning.

TheArtistic - being busy yet not achieving much is a common theme in these parts. DD (age 3) has recently potty trained so I feel your pain.

Am hoping the other slatterns turn up in a bit too.

Have achieved nothing today other than getting kids to school, going to work and picking kids up from school.

Hurrah Freakoid, glad you made it onto the new thread. Your daily achievement seems pretty decent to me.

I am a slattern and I have no excuse apart from sheer laziness and too much MN. I don't even have small people, just a DH and one 16 year old left at home during term time.
Today's list:
Tidy and clean kitchen (was at work all yesterday) - partly done
Make bed-done
Wash towels-done
Do four other loads of washing- done
collect dogs pills from vet-done
Sort out wireless booster for MNing in bedroom -done
Get hair-cut-done
Sort out OU stuff for course starting on Saturday- partly done
Get claim forms from pet insurance-done.

Still got to cook supper and empty dishwasher
Sort out last load of washing when it's dry.

Tomorrow:
Mop kitchen floor,
Make beds
Hoover through
Take DS to dentist
Have a nap in preparation for a night shift.

On nights for the rest of the week so will have to write off getting much done then.

Why thank you hmhb. Have also now done the 30 day shred (just one day of it!), fed the children a random assortment of leftovers, read to ds, listened to dd read, measured the dc and emailed my aunt with the measurements and started running their bath. Next stop get them to bed and tidy up the kitchen.

So in fact Freakoid you have done tonnes. Have a cuppa.

I have just sold my first painting!

I always used to do drawing as a hobby but this year I had a go at acrylics and joined an art group.
It's a bit hard trying to fit everything in but I think I will need to try!

Well done Artistic. I paint too and it's always a buzz if when you sell one.

Mad here today as painter turned up 1hr late to start painting conservatory, steam coming out of DHs ears as he hates it when people are late. But had failed to tell me this was happening at all. Water off all day. Then solar panel bloke coming to fill forms etc also not passed on to me. Electric off tomorrow.
Will list .......eventually.

Welcome New Slatterns!

Today hasn't been vastly successful. I've been to the gym and had my flu jab and done school runs - they take up so much bloody time, it is a nightmare. Preschool was a 4 minute trot up the road, 4 minutes back again. Ho hum.

I need to fold laundry so that DS1 has trousers for the morning and then go to bed.

Vacuuming
Online banking
Tell school about hospital appt. for DS1 on Wednesday (eye check up, nothing serious)

Morning all, Nice to find someone who shares an interest Mini . It does feel good when you sell one, makes it all feel worth it, although I do it for --me time-- enjoyment too.

issima As you're a fan of spreadsheets, I'll share our meal planning method.
We have a spreadsheet which lists approx 30 meals which we like to eat. It also uses the columns to list ingredients needed for each dish, including any herbs etc.
Then every Sunday evening it's DH job to pick seven meals for the coming week (his job cos he's a lot fussier than me ). I make the shopping list using the spreadsheet and decide which day we will eat which meal. Go shopping on a Monday and jobs done!
No blind panic every morning as to what to have for tea and what needs to be defrosted! Makes for a much less stressful life.

Yep ali you and jks deserve a medal for being a two man band while the rest of us slacked off!

I've stripped my bed, been to work and had lunch. Second load of washing in machine, first out on line. Have made couple of phonecalls but not really got anywhere.

Bought DS a new pair of trousers

My internet is not behaving so I can read stuff on my phone but find it a right faff to post properly on it.
