HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 01/10/2012 09:38

I thought it was time for a new Autumnal thread for all slatterns.

This thread is welcome to all who like to write lists or have loads of jobs to get done or if you need a kick up the bum for motivation. Also good for support with relationships, random advice on moths and birthday cakes!

We welcome new slatterns, post your lists here.

Back in a sec with my list.

I have kind of been busy --although I seem to be on an endless merry go round doing the same jobs over and over again with not much to show for it--

Lurking while I have lunch and procrastinate about washing up

DH dithering big time over DC4 here. Not that it's on the cards for me right now either, enjoying the pg-free/bf-free time while DD keeps me busy.

Internet is dodgy, but seems to be better today.

Lots to do, lots i should be doing. Starting with getting DD up, feeding her some ate lunch, then getting DS1 from sch, to Beavers (1st time) and home gain + tea for everyone. The sofa is pinning me down though Grin

I can't believe all your babies aren't babies anymore, have I really been AWOL that long!!
Well we have been talking about it on and off for a few years then we sort said well we'll sart thinking abit more seriously about it and it happened took us both by surprise how quickly, think after 5 year gap we thought it would take a while.

Anyway I will be 17 weeks on Thursday, due 21st March and we are going to use all the will power in the world not to find out, although had a quick scan last week, as I was stressed over dd1 (now on weekly injections), think doc felt sorry for me and baby had its foot right over its head, when I told dh he immediately asked could I see anything. Coming from the man who said NO to finding out!

dd1 got an A in her 11+ and got the school of her choice and is loving it. She is still plagued with her eye problems but we are now seeing a new doctor who is determined to get her off eyedrops, as they aren't designed for long term use and she has been on them 9 years now!
ds is 9 and dd2 will be 6 eek, I moved them to a bigger school as I got very stressed about dd1 moving from such a small school to such a big school and not knowing anyone, (plus I was starting to worry that too small a class size wasn't agood thing either), so they are loving their new school thank God.
I have scaled down the number of cakes now as I am too busy getting VAT rtns in on time Mini and keeping on top of other office stuff and running to hospital appointments with dd1, I was beginning to think I was going to actually let someone down, so family cakes only now!
(Sorry wasn't such a quick update)

Freak who is the handsome man in the wedding photos?

JKS how is ds2 doing?

HMHB what kind of cake?

Hang out washing done
Get another wash on done
Empty dishy
Hoover
Declutter living room took longer than I thought
Clean out fire

But have done

dcs homeworks
unpacked shopping
cleaned living room wondows&polished

Today I've done daily stuff, made cakes, gone to work and had tea with friend. So not too bad. Struck some doom off the list last week but am still behind on the learning diaries for work and exercise isnt happening Blush

Morning all, just gonna read back through some of the thread as I don't always find the time.

I need to do a To do list today as I have a million things going round in my head.
--probably won't be able to remember all of them though when I write list--

To do:
Take a shower and make self look more respectable Blush
wash up/dry up --rescue kitchen from looking like a disaster zone--
put cardboard and any other recycling out
update calender
sort paperwork chaos
write out card for friend
Try to not get distracted by tv or facebook
try not to procrastinate

Morning all! Wondering if I can join please? I'm a SAHM for the time being and have 2 DCS- DS who is 20 months and DD 5 months.

Been lurking for a while and thought a thread like this would be a great motivator and I do like a list! Grin

Will be back at lunchtime to actually add list but just marking my place.

Hope everyone is having a good morning!

This thread is giving me the collywobbles. You may all be slatterns (this I doubt) but you're bloody productive slatterns... unlike the rest of us.

Today I've:

Put a load of laundry in
Called kiddicare to find out when the new pushchair's being delivered
Taken DS to nursery
Stripped one of the beds
Had two lovely chats with old friends on the phone
Called the plumber and got him round to fix the boiler
Bled one of the radiators after he left and have broken the boiler again.

I still need to do the following:

Call an estate agent, give him a massive piece of my mind (long story) then report him to the relevant authorities (don't even go there)
Finish the tax return that's been sitting in a pile for the last three months
Hang out the washing
Put clean sheets on the bed
Tidy the house
Pick up DS
Get some shopping in for tea tonight and buy a present for MIL
Get DS fed and get out of the house in time to go out with DH tonight.

All of which may or may not get done, depending on how long I spend goofing around on MN....
