Thanks for the new thread cats!

Today we are on Babystep 16 - read an email from Fly Lady (or go to the website & read something inspiring there instead)

We've been out to the local children's centre this morning, so haven't got much done other than the basics.

Both the girls were making noises in the night last night - I didn't have to get up for them, but it means (another) disrupted nights sleep, and am feeling very tired & a bit tetchy, so am going to have a quick nap now so I am more fun later!

liveinazoo · 16/03/2012 14:40

i confess i didnt poo pick the garden-just litter picked

i have run out of vinyl gloves and im not doing it "naked" after a nasty incident last year when clearing up i moved a pile that was full wriggling worms

least all the cans are now gone....as i live on a corner i seem to attract litter an an excess cider/fosters cansConfused

CatsSleepAnywhere · 17/03/2012 15:52

Well done bessie and Carrots you have done quite a lot for a weekend.

I have:
moved the shoe rack in the hallway and hoovered the hall then put the shoe rack back tidy.
cleared and tidied the sofa in dining room
cleaned the dining table
and hoovered the dining room

I still need to:
room rescue the living room (DD has trashed it with toys)
do some washing up
decide "what's for dinner?"

That will do though as I'm still feeling a little rough.

OP posts:
carrotsandcelery · 17/03/2012 20:33

That is not a bad list yourself Cats!

Ta Da:
Emptied the floor of dd's wardrobe and dd made it into 3 piles: keep, sell, loft.

Carted loads and loads of stuff downstairs to sit under the loft hatch

10mins later dd carted all the sylvanian stuff back up as she had changed her mind Grin I was very pleased she had I have to admit.

Emptied dd's dressing up hamper and hung up the 3 items that actually fit her (it is a pop up one so that has now been put back in it's bag and therefore made some more space in her room). Yay!

Went through dd's drawstring hat, glove and scarf drawstring bags that hang on her door hooks and removed all the things that are too small.

Went through dd's belt hanger and removed all the ones which are too small.

Rearranged the clothes in her wardrobe again - she has the tiniest leggings int there which I am sure can't fit her but that is a job for another day.

Cleaned out the guinea pigs.

Made tea - spaghetti bolognaise (with quorn)

Made 2 phone calls.

Loaded dw

Cleaned worktops

Put dd to bed

Made another Brew and curled up on sofa. Phew!

Scout19075 · 17/03/2012 21:10

Very impressive lists! I'm not home this weekend but have managed the following:

AG order (and confirmation email)
Washed, dried and folded swimming gear
Put together HP packs for the Seniors trip next weekend
Went to local town center to buy ingredients for cake, drink warm beverages with MiL, buy cards, drink more beverages with MiL & MrScout & Toddler
Helped make dinner
Wrapped birthday presents (x3 family members)
Wrapped Mother's Day Present for MiL
Wrapped Toddler's Easter present (ILs have tradition of small gifts for Easter -- we usually give chocolate eggs to everyone but in addition to a chocolate egg for Toddler we also have some Brio for him)
Bathed Toddler (trust me, a definite big one as he LOVES his baths and the room & everything in it gets soaked and it's hard to get him out so it's a process)
Coloring --I'm making some homemade games for Toddler so need to do some coloring in of pieces so I can laminate and cut them out

bessie26 · 17/03/2012 21:49

Hope you are feeling better cats?

Homemade games scout? I am impressed! What are you making?

carrots I'm saving the sorting through the girls clothes until I CBA the weather has got more consistently warm.

bessie26 · 18/03/2012 20:42

I expect you're all too stuffed full of chocolate to care, but just in case.

Babystep 17 (yesterday) - Set a specific bed time and stick to it.

Babystep 18 - read the 11 commandments - I don't remember ever seeing this one before - have I missed it every month, or has she changed it?????

bessie26 · 19/03/2012 07:41

Babystep 19 - just something to read today.

Today's mission - spend 15mins under the bed!

carrotsandcelery · 19/03/2012 09:49

Thanks for all the links bessie. I particularly liked this commandment:

10.Smile even when you don?t feel like it. It is contagious. Make your mind up to be happy, and you will be.

I really think that one works.

Is it me or does it seem like no time at all since we last did the bedroom missions? I think my mission will be beside the bed rather than under it as that is where the problem lies today.

Ta Das:

washed and dressed to shoes
made ds's snacks and lunch
breakfasted dcs
got dcs to school
s&s the main bathroom
hair remover down plughole in bathroom - didn't work
hoovered bathroom
mopped bathroom
loaded dw
cleaned worktop
hoovered top half of kitchen (cooking and eating end)
mopped top half of kitchen
hoovered hall, master bedroom and lounge
put wm on

Now having my first Brew of the day Grin
