I did attempt getting organized with the paperwork last year and bought 3 metal
box file things but it all fell by the wayside. I have around about 3 large drawers with paperwork shoved in and 2 piles of paperwork on the side. I will try to plod on tomorrow but all the time I spend on paperwork is time I'm not doing other jobs. I am so behind with everything it feels like I have a mountain to climb to get things under control.

Moan over, carry on as you were.

OP posts:
carrotsandcelery · 20/03/2012 21:25

Limit yourself to 15 mins of filing a day Cats then leave it til the next day.
That way it will get done but it won't disrupt your other routines.

I am finally sitting down for the night after a meeting. Phew!

Ta Da

  • remade the beds
  • chased a wasp out of the bedroom

  • 5 min Room Rescue - kitchen
  • 15 Minutes declutter - dining room - wow! what a difference those 15mins made!!
  • made dinner

I'm very pleased with how much I've accomplished today, but there is no way I could do that much every day! I've got about 7 child-free tuesdays left. I will get the house sorted before I go back to work!

carrotsandcelery · 20/03/2012 22:22

carrotsandcelery · 21/03/2012 10:08

Ta Da:

dw loaded
work tops cleaned
recycling rinsed and in tubs

I am now drinking a large glass of water. I still feel a bit grotty but am holding off the Sudafed so I can take some to last me through hospital time.

carrotsandcelery · 21/03/2012 10:36

--> for zoo but it is multi purpose and will poke at anyone caught slacking Grin

I am just whizzing out again but just wanted to say, "Great Lists!" to zoo and Cats.

I will get back on the case when I get home again but I have put away a shop and hung a load of washing among other child related tasks.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 21/03/2012 16:17

I don't think I can do much more today. Just hurt my back.

OP posts:
liveinazoo · 21/03/2012 16:59

also checking in with a hurt back

thankfully dd1 has appeared and thrown little zoo and ds into the bath and will haul then out for me so thats one less job to hobble through

as dd2 at friends for dinner had planned something simple.good job as standing oven a hot stove isnt on my to do list right now

carrotsandcelery · 21/03/2012 20:34

Oh dear! I hope you both have some ibuprofen to reduce any muscle swelling. (I know you don't like pills Cats). Usually it is best to keep moving gently. Chocolate is also extremely good for all injuries. Grin

We had a buffet salad for tea tonight: potato salad, cous cous, egg salad, green salad, olives, sun dried tomatoes etc. Yum! The dcs loved it so I will have to remember to do that more often.

I am officially shattered now though so that is it for tonight.

bessie26 · 21/03/2012 21:20

Ta Das

  • finished house blessing (scrubbed loos, potties, seats & sinks)
  • found outfit for me to wear to a wedding - and it fits! (just Blush)
  • found some summery clothes for the DDs (they were in bags under the bed, so I am counting that as a mission
  • posted stuff back to amazon
  • ordered Shred DVD
  • booked DD2s "settling in" sessions at nursery
  • sang "round & round the garden" a million times to DD2
  • arranged some socialising
  • awarded DD1 her wind up dinosaur for a successful wee day Grin
  • shined sink & hob
  • wiped down cupboard fronts
  • WM & TD

Hope all the poorly backs feel better after pills/chocolate/sleep

carrotsandcelery · 21/03/2012 21:32

Hurrah for dd1 and her wind up dinosaur Grin

Did nursery start encouraging her to wee before she went out to play?

bessie26 · 21/03/2012 22:16

I don't know if nursery did anything differently today (her key worker was engrossed in a very long & important looking phone call when I went to pick DD1 up). But I showed DD1 the dinosaur before we left this morning, so she could SEE what she would get (it really is very cool for £2.50). I'm going to do exactly the same tomorrow - except it's a wind up duck Grin

carrotsandcelery · 21/03/2012 22:20
bessie26 · 21/03/2012 22:40

heehee - They really are very cool little wind up toys which you can't help but laugh at Grin They sell them at my local sticker shop & at sainsbury's. She's already had a caterpillar & I also have a butterfly in the "Present Incentives box".

Ta Da update

  • scanned in, uploaded & shared the underwater pics of the DDs

TD has finished, so I can lay out clothes for tomorrow & go to bed now.
