Camper, no, not Simnel Cake. One of my SsiL will do that. I usually make a sponge (or three) of varying types -- a Bunny shaped one, maybe some cupcakes (last year it was cupcakes decorated like bunnies going down their holes), a Victoria sponge, etc. I also dug out my molds to make chocolate bunny pops and the Easter shrink-wrap sleeves and dye to do eggs with Toddler.

What is Simnel cake? I don't think I have ever had that before.

Simnel Cake I don't eat it because it's too much like Christmas/wedding/fruit cake and I don't like cake, either. I do, however, LOVE making Christmas cake (and Christmas pudding). I would probably enjoy making a Simnel as well but since SiL does I don't think I should compete-- make one, too.

Thanks Scout. I think that is a tradition I can do without. The calories of Easter chocolate are bad enough.

New school clothes hung up - ds & dd (now I can try bleaching the very stained school shirts we already have without fear of no shirts at all if it all goes horribly wrong)

I could get very used to this although I suspect enthusiasm will only last a few days.

Dd is now building Lego stuff and Ds is playing with a Tomy vehicle building kit.

I will hire them out in return for chocolate and good company

Camper I like the playing pirates task the best

We've just been for a walk up to the shop and we were spotting other pirate captains and treasure and galleons and all sorts of stuff! Beats watching another DVD!!!!

Sounds fab Camper. The tv is off again here too. I am but dd switched if off as soon as P&F finished. He is having more fun with his Tomy stuff just now it seems.

I feel I should go and do something but have found a lovely cosy seat in the sun now it has come out and I am watching the snow melt. Zzzzzz!
