some children don't like jam? Shock

Scout19075 · 23/03/2012 22:31

I've ticked everything off on my "to pack" list for tomorrow's adventure (everything except the sandwiches so they don't go warm & horrible over night) but why do I feel like I'm forgetting something?!

carrotsandcelery · 23/03/2012 22:35

Grin I am thinking along the same lines really Scout. I can just give her a bigger slice and cut the middle out.Grin

If I make her her own special cake then I could be digging a great big hole for myself as x only likes y flavour of crisps and a only likes b type of apples and so on.

There is loads of food so they can pick and choose what they want to eat.

carrotsandcelery · 23/03/2012 22:39

bessie - I can Shock you further. My dmum doesn't like chocolate Shock Shock

carrotsandcelery · 23/03/2012 22:39

Which is probably why she is thinner than me Grin

carrotsandcelery · 23/03/2012 22:40

Scout can you run through the day mentally and imagine yourself doing each thing? That sometimes helps me.

bessie26 · 23/03/2012 22:41
carrotsandcelery · 23/03/2012 22:43

Money, tickets, permission slips, medications, allergies, asthma, diabetics, nappies, wipes, camera, food, map, timetable, name list, change of clothes for TS, cup for TS, empty carrier bag for dirty clothes, camera, phone, keys...

Scout19075 · 23/03/2012 22:45

The day, really, consists of following the tour around London (copies of tour and two London A-Zs packed). Stopping for picnic lunch (packed sans sandwiches) and pizza dinner (in restaraunt). Promise Ceremony at Platform 9 3/4 (badge and copies of promise packed).

Breakfast and snacks packed for Toddler, as well as two changes of clothes, a dozen nappies, fresh pack of wipes, disposable changing mats, four plastic bags (wet clothes, nappies, lunch rubbish, etc), spare dummy for naps, his favorite LeapFrog toys and some trains. Bunny is being snuggled so will go in the car with Toddler. Camera charged and packed. Emergency numbers in mobile (and forms packed).

Hmmmm... what am I missing?

bessie26 · 23/03/2012 22:47

contact numbers? toys for TS? charged phone?

Scout19075 · 23/03/2012 22:49

Am lucky the girls going have no allergies/asthma/health issues. I do have one extremely picky eater (and even she acknowledges how ridiculous picky she is) which is why we're having pizza dinner instead of something else in London (when we can get pizza here). Medications I wouldn't get until tomorrow if I were to have any. MrScout controls his own medication (is on pills for the rest of his life), I keep a pack of pain relief in my camera bag and I have a fresh (unopened) bottle of Calpol for Toddler.

Scout19075 · 23/03/2012 22:50

Oh, and I have his reins packed as well -- I can't ask him to stay in his stroller for 13+ hours.

Scout19075 · 23/03/2012 22:56

Also have the train tickets/travel cards packed. And the silly activity packets I made for the girls.

CatsSleepAnywhere · 24/03/2012 06:13

Hope you have a good day Scout Smile

Babystep 25 -I'm sure these have changed!

CatsSleepAnywhere · 25/03/2012 08:39

Right, hoping to start this week on a more positive note --after a week of people being ill/injured in my house--

My first aim for today is get the basics under control:

To do:
breakfast (eating now)
get dressed
wash up
sort and do clothes washing
sort school bags/uniforms, shoes etc
paperwork (at least 10 minutes)

Hopefully as I get these under control I can start doing some of the babysteps and get back on track Wink --as long as my mind and body allow it--

hi! Sorry I haven't been on much lately, I'm finding it a bit of a stuggle to ready my phone these days (must buy ipad) so am only able to get online when the DDs allow me to have the laptop on without hassling me to watch something on iPlayer!

We've got less than a week to go before we finish the babysteps, so I thought I would remind you all again of where we should be (I think in reality we are probably all doing more than this when fighting fit?)

Morning Routine
Make your bed
Get up and get dressed to lace-up shoes; fixing your hair and face
Swish and Swipe
Look at your posted reminders in the kitchen and bathroom
Go to the FlyLady BigTent group and read messages
Recognize the negative voices and change them. Remember, you are FLYing now!
Put out your Hot Spots for two minutes
Five-minute Room Rescue (pick any room in the house). Set your timer and go!
Spend 15 Minutes decluttering each day. You can?t organize clutter!
Check your laundry

Before-Bed Routine
Keep your sink shining
Lay out your clothes for tomorrow
Put out your Hot Spot. It will make you happy in the morning!
Check your laundry
Go to bed at your bedtime

Babystep 26 (tomorrow) - Read the first sentence at the bottom of any Fly Lady email. I'm assuming it means "You are not behind, I don't want you to catch up; I just want you to jump in where we are OK?"

CamperWidow · 26/03/2012 08:26

Ta-da:
dressed me and DD
all fed

To-do:
make beds
swish and swipe bathroom
swish and swipe kitchen
shine sink
laundry
put away clothes
room rescue bathroom
room rescue kitchen
room rescue living room
Mother and Toddler group
what's for tea
start getting together stuff for new Beaver Colony

:( Just need to keep remembering it's babysteps and I can do it! May need some tunes on the tv later so me and Lol can dance and tidy together!
