Sleep well BlackCat.

MrScout had recorded that program since we didn't know when we'd get back tonight. I didn't have a dash but we had to get TS out early due to some of my medical stuff could have ended up killing him before he was born. I am grateful for my great big hulkin' toddler of a son (my husband is 6'5" and TS is definitely on the tall end of the spectrum).

carrotsandcelery · 15/01/2012 22:16

Sounds scary Scout.

My dcs have never let me take them for granted. All our dcs are very precious and we should never forget it.

It happened very quickly -- I found out around 35/36 weeks that we'd have to get him out no later than 38 weeks (as anything after that greatly increased the chance of stillbirth). I didn't have much time to let it all sink in at the time and took it in stride. However, since then I've done a lot of thinking and praying about it. I am very grateful for TS, relieved that we came through it together (thanks to him I found out about some hidden medical stuff in addition to all of the medical cr@p I already knew) and more than grateful/appreciative for MrScout's love and support. My boys are the best.

I think I need more Chocolate before doing my diary entry and tomorrow's to do list.

carrotsandcelery · 15/01/2012 22:31

Oh Scout ((((hugs))))

Sorry, I didn't mean to bring the tone down. I'm alright about it all now. Toddler is a strapping lad, thriving. I've been able to sort myself out medically (well, the hidden thing -- I'll find out for sure this week if it's all clear; the heart thing I was born with and will always live with). TS hasn't inherited any of my issues, including the hidden thing, so I'm even more grateful.

carrotsandcelery · 15/01/2012 22:46

There is nothing wrong with being yourself Scout - life has its ups and downs - chocolate is not always available Grin

I am glad that things look more promising medically. I will send my very best postive thoughts in your direction.

OP posts:
Scout19075 · 15/01/2012 22:53

Mmmm, chocolate. Wink Thanks for the positive thoughts -- I take all I can get! Doctor seemed positive on Friday but I won't get the test results until this week.

On a "cleaning" sort of note -- at the restaurant where we had dinner last night TS took his napkin to wipe his face then proceeded to wipe down the table, the chair he was sitting on, the radiator near our table, the wall, the lamp near our table and underneath our table. Nothing we said would deter him from his cleaning mission. It was only when his dessert appeared did he stop. Blush Grin

Eggrules · 15/01/2012 22:53

Black I am indeed in England. In West Midlands but from Liverpool originally. I think my late dressing may have put you off a bit Grin.

I count my blessing here too. Would have loved more but very lucky to have the one we have. Night all.

carrotsandcelery · 15/01/2012 23:00

Night everyone. I am off to read my children's book on my nice tidy, clutter free kindle in my nice, tidy, clutter free spare bedroom.

bessie as for airing the bedrooms - I am with you there. I keep my bedroom window open all the time and just keep the bedroom door shut so the rest of the house doesn't chill.

I couldn't sleep at night (at the mo) with the window open, and I live in the warm south! (but I am also a southern softie! Grin - I wear socks in bed almost all year round!)

My hairdresser told me off for washing my hair every day & challenged me to only do it every other day. It only took a week or two for my hair to adjust & I now only wash it every 2-3 days! I also wash it at night as no time to do it in the mornings! When I was at work I would also style (straighten) it at night, which sounds crazy, but it would only need a really quick re-straighten (on the side I sleep on) in the morning!

I don't know what midwife prog you are talking about, but I sounds like something I would cry at (I cried during the introduction to OBEM!) All DC are very precious gifts, I must remember that when DD2 wakes me in the night!! Grin

Morning! Babystep 16 - read a fly lady email.

If you do decide to sign up for her emails, make sure you get the daily digest, rather than the individual emails!

Scout19075 · 16/01/2012 07:05

Thanks bessie!

Brew?

Months ago, when I first started FL, before I fell off the wagon, I signed up and didn't realize I should sign up for the daily digest. GAH! I get soooo many emails!

I'm dressed and have managed to tick off some of the emails on my to do list as well as menu plan for the week and create a shopping list.

carrotsandcelery · 16/01/2012 07:37

Morning all! I have made a Brew so far and my bath is running! Ta da!

I might try the hair thing bessie - during the holidays when I can hide with my haystack for a head for a few days Grin

zoo you have a reprieve. Today's mission is here and the zone is the bathroom and one other room so you should be ok.

Anyone around for hand holding?

I am a little Sad this morning. It is the first time I have had to leave DD at nursery.Sad

She seemed fine but I however was in tears once I had left the nursery.

BlackCatLookingForwardToSpring · 16/01/2012 09:29

It is so quiet here just me and the cat.

BlackCatLookingForwardToSpring · 16/01/2012 09:58

I have just phoned nursery to see how she is and they said she is fine Smile.

I'm off to pull myself together and do some washing up.

She will be fine BlackCat. It will be an exciting adventure for her. I recommend you throw yourself into your flying while she is at nursery so you have plenty time for cuddles and play when she is home.

I am having a bit of a wrangle with the bank. I checked my balance this morning and a large sum of money had vanished. Shock You can imagine my panic. I have now established that I still have the money but it has been moved into another account. I am now waiting for a call to find out why it was moved. I have made myself a Brew to recover from the shock.

Ta Da List:

washed and dressed to boots
children fed and taken to school
ebay parcel posted (£46.90 made last week)
washing on
half dry washing folded
dw filled
worktops cleaned
bread and milk topped up from shop

OP posts:
BlackCatLookingForwardToSpring · 16/01/2012 10:31

I am feeling better now!
I think you are right carrots. I will try to do my Flying while she is at nursery.Smile It is easier while I don't have to keep seeing what she is up to.

I am Shock about your bank!

We are trying not to spend much till pay day now.

I am off upstairs to sort some washing to go in the machine.
