I have never cracked it I am afraid zoo. I am trying to think what might bind them more. Could you mix in some breadcrumbs to soak up the moisture of them or would it make them too stodgy?

OP posts:
bessie26 · 15/01/2012 19:15

Breadcrumbs &/or flour is all I can think of too I'm afraid!

liveinazoo · 15/01/2012 19:17

I sorted lego back into the relevant boxes. The Hero Factory/bionicals were put together correctly and then put into their boxes or zip locked bags.

We had chicken, mash and fresh veg for dinner and cherry pie and ice cream for afters. All pans have been washed and put away and the DW is on. Live I love cherry and your ice cream sounds lovely.

I bought an e cloth as recommended by Flylady. I got the general purpose one and I am impressed; may even buy the polishing cloth for glass. I like it because you use it damp and it clean and buffs the surfaces at the same time. At £5.99 it was expensive but it does seen a bit better than microfibre - this could be because it is new.

Ta da:
Supplied for painting - bought
Ironing done - to be put away.
Kitchen - done
Make bed - I missed that this was step 15. It would be easier for me if there were 16 items on the list for babystep 16 (for example).

Night routine:
Keep your sink shining - done
Lay out your clothes for tomorrow - for ds done mine to do.
Put out your Hot Spot - to do

carrotsandcelery · 15/01/2012 20:04

Today's ironing is done, final load of washing for the day is hung, dry clothes folded, DW is on AGAIN, wortops clean AGAIN, Ds's lunch and snacks done, Ds's clothes laid out (asked Dd what she wanted to wear and she got all tricky so she can sort herself out Grin), Sink is shiny enough.

Lounge was eventually decluttered (of Playmobi) and rescued from cut up bits of paper.

I couldn't say I have hot spotted anywhere today though.

carrots i think youve done enough!!Smile
sink shiny after washing up from tea and put it away
just guna do a face pack and chill for a bit

Eggrules · 15/01/2012 20:33

All done - need to wash my hair in the am. Planning a walk after drop off and then a spot of painting in the hall.

carrotsandcelery · 15/01/2012 21:04

Are you washing your hair before or after the painting Egg?

I have the sort of hair I have to wash every day - it is quicker in the end than trying to make it behave any other way Grin

What colour are you doing your hallway Egg?

Evening all, Today has been pretty busy.

I have done:
breakfast
get dressed
do shopping list
go shopping
do lunch
help DS with school homework
Cook tea
tidy up
DC bath and bed

Just chilling now with a Brew before bed.

Scout19075 · 15/01/2012 21:14

Wow, everyone's been so busy while I was away. Is it sad that I've missed my "to do" list? Blush

carrotsandcelery · 15/01/2012 21:15

Well done BlackCat.

OP posts:
liveinazoo · 15/01/2012 21:15

well done black.Smile
i have my ironed pjs on and feel i am living the height of luxuryGrin

Eggrules · 15/01/2012 21:16

Feck me carrots, that didn't occur to me. After defo - sorry to anyone that sees me on the school run. I should wash my hair daily. I find if I straighten with GHDs I can just about last 2 days. I normally wash it at night - I do not have time to faff in the morning.

My hallway is a keen mustard (previous owners) and will be Jasmine white

What time did you get dressed Black? It was 12:30pm here and I am already back in pjs.

carrotsandcelery · 15/01/2012 21:17

Ooh! Thanks for the chocs Scout. Here's a Brew to go with yours.

Did you have a good time?

I have just sobbed my eyes out to that 1950's midwife programme that was just on.

OP posts:
carrotsandcelery · 15/01/2012 21:21

That looks nice and fresh Egg but still with a bit of warmth. I love painting but I don't do our hallway myself. It is very tricky.

You could do your hair in the morning and wear a shower cap to paint. You might have to spend the rest of the day with a nice stripe from the elastic across the forehead though Wink

liveinazoo · 15/01/2012 21:22

scout i admit i stillhave one, even on weekend to remind my have i HAVE to do and what id like to get done

ive a horrid feeling it could be a bedroom week coming up and i cant even get to my bed anymoreSadBlush

i wil need a lot of stick poking to attempt to beat a path back to it and clear enough of it to lay down.who has the biggest stick and is available for poking in the daytime?!

Scout19075 · 15/01/2012 21:27

Thanks for the tea, carrots.

Oh yes, live, I have weekend lists, too. Except after my hospital appointment Friday morning we went away for the weekend and got home an hour ago.

Got some lovely presents, though -- now just have to update the spreadsheets! Grin

BlackCatLookingForwardToSpring · 15/01/2012 21:29

Egg are you in England?

I think I got dressed around 9.30am?? Can't quite remember!

Thanks for chocolate Scout

carrots I couldn't bring myself to watch the midwife programme, I think I want to forget all about child birth.

Eggrules · 15/01/2012 21:29

I think I will wash and dry only the very front bit and will do it properly before bed. I have an old cap to keep the worst at bay. I have never painted a hall before; I am doing two walls and will see how I go (eek). We had new central heating and a boiler and so the whole house needs doing.

carrotsandcelery · 15/01/2012 21:32

zoo you will be fine. You don't have to do the whole room. Babysteps, babysteps! As flylady says, you can do anything for 15 mins.

Our study was like that last year and we got there eventually and now it is a room which can be used and is bearable to be in. Those who were with me last year will tell you it took a while, but I got there.

OP posts:
carrotsandcelery · 15/01/2012 21:34

BlackCat it is over 7 years ago for me so I didn't wince quite as much as I might have.

Egg - A cap sounds a good idea. Swimming goggles are good if you are using a roller - unless you enjoy heavy exfoliation of the delicate eye area post painting Grin

OP posts:
BlackCatLookingForwardToSpring · 15/01/2012 21:37

Carrots I had a bit of a tough time with DS and was rushed from one hospital to another in an ambulance. The first hospital wasn't very well equiped.

carrotsandcelery · 15/01/2012 21:44

Oh dear BlackCat - it is probably not the programme for you. It did get a bit traumatic (I was sobbing into my hand at one point and dh was pretty upset too).

I had an ambulance dash as well, but after the birth, and all was well in the end.

OP posts:
BlackCatLookingForwardToSpring · 15/01/2012 21:46

Just glad we are all here and well! Smile

BlackCatLookingForwardToSpring · 15/01/2012 21:48

I best be off to bed now, will catch up with you all tomorrow.
