Welcome to the new thread ladies :)

Plum I've got a few cheapy tops from Sainsbury's which i'm wearing around the house, it is things to wear out that I can also BF in which are the problem. I can't seem to find anything with the right neckline/buttons etc.

Mini - congratulations! The weight will sort out - both my boys lost within a whisker of 10%, DS1 was 5 weeks and DS2 4 weeks before they made it up. Lots of HCPs make too much fuss about regaining it quickly IMO.

We have done ok today - DS2 velcro child as normal, really need him to get out of this phase asap!!

DONE
2 loads of washing
BBQ
Sort out of boys clothes, put away too small things
Hoover whole house
More gardening

NOT DONE
Plan meals for next week and book Waitrose for next Friday
Decide what I want for my birthday

Ali - have you got any 'belly bands'? they can be handy for hiding the middle area when lifting a top? Saying that i haven't got round to wearing mine yet, but not been going anywhere much either.

DS2 was sick overnight currently asleep on the sofa after missing lunch. Will he make pre-sch tomorrow???

DS1 doing more with his walker & scooting around on the floor so think he'll manage somehow at school tomorrow.

DD managed a 5hour sleep last night!! after all that velcro stuff in the evening, well done her - though she's not really getting the recognition she deserves lol.

Hello all.

Mini - great news.

We're back today after a very blustery but absolutely gorgeous 4 days at the seaside Smile

Oh, and the wedding .... dreamy stuff. I'm no particular royalist - no strong feelings for or against, but what a fantastic day!!!!

Even DH was glued to the coverage and suitably taken with it all and he is usually a right grump regarding public events "what's the point of this load of old *&%$" he was muttering, even at 10pm the night before when they were showing the build up.... Not so, when it came to people spotting/watching processions/listening to rousing hymns etc etc....!

Morning Smile

JKS and Ali i lived in leggings with dresses/smock tops/tunics over the top until very recently. I found there was plenty of fabric to feed discreetly, plus the leggings covered my belly. Nothing worse than feeling frumpy and miserable on top of sore nipples, stitches/c section and lack of sleep. Adding insult to injury!

Party went well at the weekend. Quite sedate really. I think perhaps we are all better behaved when our DH's are there Grin Still clearing up though Hmm

DONE
Everyone up
Everyone breakfast
Clear up breakfast
Put Dishy on
Hang washing out
Put more washing on
Make our bed
DS down for nap

TO DO
Get dressed
Get kids dressed
Draw sitting room curtains
Strip kids beds
Hang second washload out
Wash kids sheets
Wipe down kitchen
Lunch
Get horse food!!! (forgotten twice!)
Get some money out
Farrier coming at 3pm
Get horses done
Cook dinner
Get washing put away
Bath DS
DC in bed

Need to find some new sticker charts to print out, DD has only 2 more stickers to get. Going to do one for myself too Grin

JustKeepSwimming · 03/05/2011 10:18

Dave - did you not find it a faff lifting up all the material of a tunic though?
Have dug out some big 'blouses' (don't like that word) that i bought after DS2 when i'd put on loads of weight which have buttons so can use them for a while. Hoping my bigger bras come today or at least tomorrow though.

Mostly I am happy with my weight though as I already weigh less than I did 6months in with DS2 (when we got our Wii & i was so shocked by my weight, had 3stone to lose for my brother's wedding. Did it though :) ).
So 2.5stone to ideal weight - not that i'm dieting at all at the moment, it's nice just seeing I haven't got so far to go this time.

JKS i found they were much easier, i didn't get on with shirts or blouses at all. DS is 8 and half months now and i have lost just a couple of lbs off 3st. I am amazed how quickly it has come off as it took me until DD was 2yrs to get the weight off, and ended up having to diet, this time i have relied upon the chaos of 2dc and breastfeeding Grin

FreakoidOrganisoid · 03/05/2011 12:46

Hello everyone!

Eek for sick JKS, hope the rest of you don't catch it. Last thing you need with a newborn.

Re bf and clothing, the advantage of having no small boobs was that I could wear most of my normal clothes and just pull the neckline down to feed. Think I wore a lot of vest tops with shirts over the top too.

Mini congrats on another gd Grin and thanks for the news of hmhb.

Pics of 80's weekend are on fb, let me know whether you can see them-am not sure cos they are my friends' pics and I'm just tagged...

PlumBumMum · 03/05/2011 13:46

Afternoon everyone

I always pulled my tops up, I never pulled necklines down etc I wasn't brave enough for thatBlush

Freak I didn't notice but will look on your page

Right today is busy day so I am going to make a start on dinner before I do school runs
still organising girls clothes and adding to my ironing piles
my friend is supposed to be calling to tell me which cake she wants for dds christening

And I went walking today as I have no clothes for christening so have weighed myself and fingers crossed I will have some stamina this time!!!!

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 03/05/2011 13:46

Afternoon!

Congrats Mini!

JKS, hope everyone feels better soon!

I preferred long baggy tops as the excess material would cover all my exposed flesh once we'd got arranged.

Dave, I'm hoping the 2dc and bf has that effect for me! Grin

I'm struggling to get owt done today, so quick list -

  • change DS nappy
  • hang out washing
  • 15 mins kitchen - with timer please
  • what next?
Alibabaandthe80nappies · 03/05/2011 14:44

Yes I'm hoping for the 2dc/bf effect also!! I think it is being counteracted atm by the amount of cake I'm eating to try and stay awake!

OP posts:
TimeWasting · 03/05/2011 15:23

That's what did me in, scoffing tons of medicinal flapjack to increase supply! Boy did I swell that summer! Thankfully DS did too, so it wasn't in vain.

CC :( It is a weird feeling isn't it? I remember when we had to finally say that my Grandma had to go into a home and stay there, I think my Mum and I felt we had let her down somehow. We hadn't at all, but it was still a sad day.
At least you don't have to worry about her so much now, and you'll have more time for your own life :)

Wasting - how many weeks are you now?

Newsflash - DS2 slept in his hammock from midnight-6am without waking!! Shock I am in danger of feeling human today...... Grin
