Ali you're a star thank you! I really need to go myself but am leaning towards hemnes now I think. Ikea catalogue came in post today so have been browsing! So fickle Wink

Glad you had a good holiday plum.

CC sounds like an emotional week for you!

cikecaka · 29/08/2011 19:01

Smile, tis only the start Freak, they just looked so grown up this morning, DD3 had been messing with my phone and I now cant upload my photo off my phone to FB. Couldnt find my camera this morning, but keep reassuring myself that I will find it before Thurs and can get 3 DDs in a photo, DS goes back next Monday. He gets his Junior Cert results in a fortnight so more nerves for that Hmm.
Enjoy the rest of your bank holiday ladies

Glad you had a lovely holiday PBM,
Did you have a party for DH JKS

JKSLtd · 29/08/2011 20:38

We had a few friends for a bbq last week, then shared a bday bbq down at the beach today with some other friends :)
DH didn't want to do a big deal thing, so on his actual bday we had his parents here, left the boys with them and went out for lunch :)

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 29/08/2011 22:49

Happy birthday to your DH JKS Grin

Plum - glad you had a good holiday :)

CC - eek that all sounds very emotional. I am upset enough about the fact that I have to do DS1's school application next month - my baby! Shock

Freak - no worries Grin DH thought I was mad. Him 'why are you looking at that bookcase, we don't need a bookcase'. Me 'because someone on MN wants one and I'm doing a recce'. Him Hmm

We have had a fab weekend. Shopping on Saturday, BBQ at my uncle's yesterday, and then today we went to see SIL and the DNs. Added detour (of 1.5 hours) to my parents to collect my car and house keys and DH's jumper that we left at my uncle's last night because I was too drunk to gather things up properly when we came home BlushBlush
I'm shattered though, really need to sleep but DS2 won't settle - grrrrr.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 30/08/2011 11:24

Grin ali did you tell him it was the same person you might have wanted to call in on as you drove through wsm last year?!

I had sex last night

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 30/08/2011 11:42

Freak I did, and he just looked a bit baffled Grin

So - spills the beans! Wink

FreakoidOrganisoid · 30/08/2011 12:10

Well I don't know if you remember when I went out ages ago and snogged friend of friend? Ended up snogging him again on Saturday, he said he liked me but that I kept shooting him down whenever he tried to chat me up...I said he was always drunk and rude and that he only ever offered me sex. He said I'd got the wrong idea about him and that he wanted more than that. Well anyway we were both very drunk on sat so I snogged him madly for a bit after telling him what an arse he was Hmm then left. He's been texting me since and asking when he could see me to show me that he wasn't loud and obnoxious like I'd accused him of being and I was feeling a bit reckless (ovulating!) so said he could come over last night after kids were in bed. We actually got on really well and chatted for hours before getting down to business... I have previously been warned off him because he has quite a bad track record so I'm thinking it will just be a shag or two or at most a fling but tbh I think as long as i'm careful that's probably what I need to obliterate the wc. Am wondering why I am always attracted to the bad boys though!

PlumBumMum · 30/08/2011 14:06

Oooh Freak, you never know you could be good for each other, keep us updated!

CC I shall join you with the kleenex. d2 starts P1 next week, dd1 starts P7 so 11+ in Nov and ds starts P4 so First Communion year, and hes actually in a P4/5 class so make that 2 boxes of kleenex Grin

I cleaned bathrooms this morn

so need to do some ironing

FreakoidOrganisoid · 30/08/2011 15:51

Plum you are such a romantic!! Although we did get on very well and there is a lot of chemistry I think I need to keep in mind that I have been warned about him - people haven't warned me for no reason!

Failing on housework front, but as long as I keep it ticking over for now it's ok - i'll have no dc all day on Mon!

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 31/08/2011 00:15

Freak Grin It can be v.good to have a friend with benefits, and hopefully it will help with the WC thing.
My theory on the bad boy thing is that deep down you perhaps don't actually want a serious relationship, or you are protecting yourself from getting hurt, and that once you are in a frame of mind where you do want something more serious and meet someone you trust, that suddenly the bad ones won't seem so attractive but the 'nice' ones will.

I must do a list tomorrow, a lot to get through. I cannot wait for preschool to start again next week, really need some structure for DS1 - and for myself!!

Well he has been texting me A LOT and is now my friend on fb so feel free to have a nose Grin Girls came round for wine last night and my friend that I met him through said he isn't that bad but has just gone through a lot of women since he split from his xw so her only worry is that I'd just be another notch.

Very hungover today Sad, knew there was a reason I don't usually drink!

cikecaka · 01/09/2011 10:13

My baby has just started school, so no housework going to be done going to wallow in self pity Grin. Stressful morning as DD1 decided she didnt feel well and didnt go to school, lots of tears, torn between she is sick or she is nervous or she is pulling a fast one! I know you are supposed to know your own child but it is hard to call on this one :(.

JKSLtd · 01/09/2011 13:34

Aww CC hope you're ok.

With DS2 starting at his SN pre-sch and going up to f-t so quickly last term we've kind of skipped the whole 'him starting school' thing, when he starts reception next sept he'll already have been f-t for over a year at the same school.

Freak - sounds possible then :)

TO DO:

  • lots of gardening/pruning; More pruning DONE
  • jetwash the patio & furniture; Done side of house & driveway
  • women's refuge trip DONE
  • wash readybed cover DONE & return

  • new plimsolls & wellies needed for DS1
  • present & card for party on Sat
  • get school bags sorted Started
Alibabaandthe80nappies · 01/09/2011 17:05

CC - :( I hope she's enjoyed her day!

Freak - well hopefully he's a nice bloke going through a rough patch rather than an actual bastard. DH did it after he split from his ex-W. Looking back he isn't especially proud, but he was v.careful not to make any promises he didn't intend to keep. Hopefully this bloke will be the same :)

I have done LOADS today Grin Whole of downstairs cleaned, windows, blinds, kitchen, dusting, mirrors. Looks better than it has done in a long time.
Then we went to the park with some friends.

THIS WEEK
Post office to return bra and post cars - done
Meal plan and online shop - done
Online banking - done
Investigate spa for while we are on holiday
Check details for wedding with friend - e-mail sent
Fill charity bag being collected on Thursday - done

Hellllllooooo Slatterns.
Just popped in to see how things are doin' and what do I find in my absence eh. Freaki getting all adventurous. The trip to Ikea I mean Wink
Well I haven't listed much but thought I'd come on to say Ive been doing loads of clearing out, decorating ( had wall plastered, painted and stuff) and, filing. Although the office of doom still lurks.
all is well though and we are gearing up to GD1's 2nd birthday next month and baby GD2 is growing like mad, adn teething.
Hugs to all those whos dc are off to school. Aw.
Might be back later with a list.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 02/09/2011 13:01

Kittens have handily both fallen asleep in their carrier thingy so have shut them in and taken the opportunity to open all the doors and windows wide! I've been struggling with the lack of fresh air getting through and even though I change their litter etc regularly they do still smell!

Got badly sunburnt yesterday, so stupid.

Trying to get organised for school etc next week today.

PlumBumMum · 02/09/2011 13:29

Freak I will have a nose later, Ali is worse than me I couldn't have put it better,

CC your little dd loked so cute in her pics, its my turn next week, eek
Maybe with dd1 it was all just abit much for her, all the different emotions and the best way to handle it was saying she didn't feel well hope she is ok when she come home.

I have loads to do and I have been very lazy so will at least go and tidy kitchen before school run again

I am contemplating buying a treadmill any thoughts or opinions any one???

FreakoidOrganisoid · 02/09/2011 15:51

What do you think then plum??
Am ignoring both you and ali as don't want to get my hopes up!

PlumBumMum · 02/09/2011 19:59

OOh hes abit of alright but then I do go for dark haired men, it could be he was letting off some steam and you bould be the one to tame his wild waysWink
