Morning! MUST do a list today. I have a cool app for my iPhone which is basically Flylady. So far I have spent 2 hours customising my lists and not actually ticked anything off......

OP posts:
cikecaka · 10/08/2011 13:42

Dont tell me you will be leaving us Ali... Sad with your fancy ipod app,

Well I tidied the kitchen/dining area
Cleaned round the computer desk
Swept Floor
Dishes
Cleaned Counters
Made Lunch
Washed Dishes
Put on a wash!

SilverSky · 10/08/2011 13:46

Do share ali? Is it any good?

I have:

Hung one load of washing
Emptied TD but not put away
Cleared drainer/sink
Emptied DW
Delegated hoss to HI Grin

Still shed loads to do!!! Angry

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 10/08/2011 14:16

Indeed not cc - there is something about publishing a list for all to see that is more motivating!!

Silver - it is called HomeRoutines. Seems pretty good actually, quite American but you can edit all aspects.

My progress has been hampered by the fact that I stood on a wasp, which stung me and I am in agony still an hour later despite painkillers. Thank goodness DH is working at home today, because I certainly couldn't carry the baby up and down the stairs.

OP posts:
cikecaka · 10/08/2011 15:05

thats ok then Ali, oh poor you horrible to be stung.

DD1 is after standing on the plug of the steamer and cut her foot. Had to bandage her up before washing the floors as she insisted on hopping from room to room before she would let me see it!

FreakoidOrganisoid · 10/08/2011 15:33

Ouch ali, have you put vinegar on it?

Done nothing today Blush have made fairy cakes and banana cake though Smile

anonymousbird · 10/08/2011 19:38

fairy cakes and banana cake - when can we come round?! Wink

For me, making those WOULD be a day's work. I am the world's most hopeless baker Confused

We have kept on top of things, just about, done some nice cycling/dog dragging round with DC. MUCH quicker and more fun than plain old boring walking the dog!!!

Ali - ouch, poor you. My friend put her gardening glove on, to find a wasp in one of the fingers and got badly stung. But not quite the same as the bottom of your foot!!!

FreakoidOrganisoid · 11/08/2011 13:25

Any time anon, not that there's much left. Had banana cake for dinner last night Blush

TimeWasting · 12/08/2011 11:20

I don't WANT to.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 15/08/2011 17:41

Hello all :) I am being rubbish at lists but actually getting quite a lot done.

I need to make a list of things to do/buy/organise for my friend's wedding next month, and also a list for holiday in October. We get back from holiday on the 22nd October, so ideally I want to have given Christmas some thought before we go. OMG! Hmm

Ali gets prize for first mention of the C-word on here! Grin

Am not really getting anywhere with crap/stuff/jobs but think i have to bear with it until the boys go back to school as then I'll have lots of time (DD permitting!) to get on with things.

PlumBumMum · 17/08/2011 03:54

Hi everyone, my computer has been on the blink keeps freezing on this thread amongst shutting itself down of its own accord and other things

Anyway off on holidays tomorrow and I need it,got a nasty letter from my dad last week, which to quote the first line said "Obviously we can't work this out............. and he can't defend the things that have hurt me without causing more trouble" Hmm,
So I was an emotional wreck for a few days as it was so full of bitterness, not 1 mention of loving me or he would always be there for me just a guilt trip about how my mum was missing out on the dcs and I should let her bring them over to their house, again quote "this is not a back door to me seeing the children but will be a consequence."
So even though my letter said I loved him, he broke my heart and I can't go on tip toeing around waiting for another temper tantrum from him, all I ever tried to do was please him, he took everything as an attack on him and told my mum I don't think he's good enough for me............
He just followed the typical narracisitic personality, only worried about his own feelings and really dosen't care about anyone else. He would be quite happy for me to send my dcs over to visit him and never see me again Sadhe actually admitted this!

But the good thing is it has allowed me to draw a line under it all, and brought home the fact he dosen't want a reconcillation that involves him admitting any fault SadSadSad but I do feel a weight off my shoulders, although very sad, I can't imagine a day that I would turn my back on my own child especially one whose ownly real fault was that she got married and had children and her daddy was no longer the centre of her universe

Sorry for the long moan but it was good to get it out without interuption iykwim

SmileHappier news it is ds's Birthday Smileand we have had extra bonding time over the discovery of our love for all things Harry Potter, yeap I had never seen or read the books.
We got the DVDs on offer in Tesco, watched 1 a day last week, then went to cinema on Monday it was lovely, even dd2 loved the dvds (didn't let her go to the cinema it might have been too much)

so LIST

Pack
photocopy passports
sow hole in holiday bag
clean house

JKSLtd · 17/08/2011 06:59

Oh Plum, how sad :( even if it is a line drawn it's still something to grieve over. Hope the holiday & time away helps.
Happy bday to DS, can't believe you'd missed out on HP so far. We haven't seen the latest film yet, will prob wait until it's on Sky now. Was not impressed with school as they showed the first one (& poss the 2nd) to DS1, he's only 5 and I don't feel he's old enough for some of the themes/speech/ideas in HP. They're PG but i think school should stick to U films, esp in Reception, grr.

I've namechanged :) Couldn't have just JKS so decided to go with the hairy trucker theme! On the lookout for a new name altogether at some point...

DD only up once at 4.45 so i feel a bit more with it today, yey.

This week:

FreakoidOrganisoid · 17/08/2011 12:56

Oh plum how sad, must be really hard for you. I know it is a completely different situation and don't want to belittle your circumstance cos obviously it's harder when it's your dad but one thing I have found helped a little with both exh and the wc situations is to remember that a lot of what I was mourning wasn't real-it was the relationship I wanted with them and thought I had rather than the one I actually had iyswim. It must really hurt that your dad would rather not have a relationship with you than accept any responibility Sad

Wastingbeen looking at your etsy page, is it bad I want a boob bracelet even though I'm not feeding?? Especially like the pic of it with the 2 satsumas Grin

Going to visit and pick our kittens this afternoon!!

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 17/08/2011 21:36

Woss a boob bracelet?

cikecaka · 18/08/2011 16:58

Hello Ladies, hope your ds had a good birthday PBM.
Yay for DD JKSltd (why the name change???)
FO, I am in the same boat as you, my house is the pits, could nearly copy your list!

Waves frantically at everyone, (wonders at 40 yrs old that she too doesnt know what a boob bracelet is Blush)

TODO
Everything!

Want to be able to relax to watch BB tonight, starting in the kitchen

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 18/08/2011 18:39

Evening ladies :)

Silver - a boob bracelet is a bracelet that you wear when you are BFing to remind you which side you've fed from last and so which one is next. I tend to go for the rather more unsubtle approach of having a quick prod to see which one feels fuller Grin

Freak - I will nick your list too. Grin
