FreakoidOrganisoid · 04/08/2011 21:51

Thank you for kind words and support as always, and for going through the whole sorry saga with me over the past 18 months or so (yes it really has been that long Shock)

Anyhoo, I just got off the phone from a boy! Friend of friend who I met whilst slightly intoxicated at a bbq and who has since asked me out...don't think I fancied him when I met him but he does seem nice so would like to meet up with him to double check the lack of fancying. He seems very very keen though, which while not necessarily a bad thing, I don't think I'm ready for after the wc. Initials sp for those of you on my fb who want to have a nose (I know what you're like!)

Still haven't done the ironing, but have at least packed for weekend at parents'.

cikecaka · 05/08/2011 09:04

Hugs Freak, hopefully this new man will be just what you need! Will head off for a nose now and report back!

Silversky - Chorizo chicken and chickpea We make it with the chicken first time round, but there is always loads of the sauce/chorizo/chickpea bit left over which goes brilliantly with rice/jackets/whatever. It is yummy, and the children actually eat it.... Pretty sure I would not have put in the dry sherry, as it's not something I have at home, maybe a splash of wine instead.

Freaki - good luck with checking out the fancying/not fancying task at hand! And even if it's not a "thing", if he is a nice guy and you can have a laugh/drink/whatever, then good for you....

It IS warm again, hey? We took refuge in the cold cabinet area of Waitrose this afternoon for a good ten minutes after hiking around town!!! Phew.

Anyway, hoping for more of the same tomorrow... we have friends coming to camp in the garden so we need warmth for afternoon/evening to ensure that all the children do indeed want to sleep outside.... should be fun!

Right, DC are calling me, I'm on cricket duty in the garden. Smile

Have a good week, JKS.

SilverSky · 09/08/2011 08:14

Hello fellow procrastinators!

I'm poorly so have done nothing. Myself and DS spent the afternoon in bed sleeping.

Still got thumping headache.

As usual still got to sort hoss and walk dawg. It's at times like this that I wished my parents lived nearer so they could help with childcare.

I think aside from sleep deprivation that the next worse thing is having to parent age you are sick yourself. They should make the Secret Service do this as part of their training. If you can survive looking after a lively 9mo whilst feeling pants then you can take on anything.

Will repost once bit better and in a position to actually do some chores/jobs.

I really want to do some proper sorting and clearing this week but can't get motivated to start.

I have gone through the chests of drawers and filled a charity bag but that's it so far...

Also want to:
Empty understairs cupboard, sort through and put back neatly
Do all the ironing and put away
Sort wire spaghetti junction behind tv
Clear out under bunkbeds and clean
Wash dcs duvets and pillows

FreakoidOrganisoid · 09/08/2011 13:14

Silver, sounds tough. I find it bad enough just taking care of dc when ill, let alone a dog and horse. Hope you feel better soon

cikecaka · 09/08/2011 16:32

Right I havent stopped since 9 am, done ironing, washing, cooked lunch etc, and the place looks like a bombsite. Only sitting down now cause I made DD1 get of the computer. Think I am going to do a few 15 mins spurts! Otherwise I may just give up Sad. Fed up of it being like a bombsite, but obv I dont have it in me to be a domestic goddess! Confused

anonymousbird · 09/08/2011 17:38

My bomb site has disappeared, but only for approximately another half an hour... took DC to MILs at 3pm, came back tidied up, sat back, admired said tidiness and tutt free floor..... little blighters come back in half an hour and all will break loose!!!! So why did I bother? Not sure, but I'm playing my favourite music very loud, my kitchen is spotless and I can MN without one of them throwing a paper aeroplane at me for another 25 minutes!

Anyway, in the grand scheme actually haven't got that much done really, other than a spotless hall/kitchen/boot room. Confused
