DedalusDigglesPocketWatch · 19/07/2011 07:37

Jks I donated to addenbrooks and they were great. I took a load of milk in and they did the tests at the same time. I still have some donation bottles if you want them.

Bit of a crap night here. Dd just wouldn't go to sleep (unlike her) and it was gone 9.30 by the time she stopped playing and settled down. Then ds woke up (because of dd) and then woke at 4.30 screaming and took half hour to calm down and have his milk. Bit knackered.

No list as yet, more just continuing with laundry and doing 2 min declutter sessions.

cikecaka · 19/07/2011 09:57

Hi Peeps. Been away from here for what feels like forever! Hope everyone is well, sorry haven't read the thread for some time so am out of date.

Anyway, we've moved into our "new" house. Nearly done the unpacking. Phew. And most importantly, we absolutely love it and are thrilled to be home again. Smile

DC now on 8 weeks hols (so far, we are ok, but it's only been two days.....!)

Rant alert though - PIL's phoned at 11.30 to ask if they could pop over to do something. I said yes fine. MIL said, we are just popping to the shop then we will be there. It is now 4.15 and no sign of them....

I mean, it doesn't really matter, and I'm not waiting in for them, but if you are expecting someone you don't really fully relax as they could turn up at any moment.... Grrr.

Sorry. rant over. This is classic them, I've moaned about them before I am sure - timekeeping is their worst trait - they are often hours or even days late for things, so I suppose four hours late today is not a lot really.

And relax. thanks for listening!

FreakoidOrganisoid · 19/07/2011 18:07

V annoying anon
Glad you are loving the house, especially after all the work!

Shampooed upstairs carpets yesterday, am hoping it will have got rid of the random stale smell that had developed. Also resealed bath but was slightly inebriated so it's not the neatest!

wasting I have to wash up as soon as we stop eating in the eve because if I leave it til I've put dc to bed etc it doesn't get done, I usually just sit once they are in bed Grin

Tomorrows list
dust
iron
stop biting nails (really need to do this have bitten them so far down they are sore today)

AnonymousBird · 19/07/2011 20:02

Freaki - oh god I wish I could stop biting my nails. I've done it for thirty odd (and the rest!) years and DH absolutely hates it, as do I, but I cannot stop.

Shall we come up with a scheme and try together?!?

PS. PILs turned up at 6.30. Shock. But I should know by now. And I do. But it still winds me up! They live approximately 2 minutes by car away!!!!

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 19/07/2011 22:12

Oh my goodness, Anon that would drive me insane!!! Shock

I don't bite my nails, but I chew the skin on my hands and around my nails which is an equally vile habit. I must grow out of it!! Grin

OP posts:
TimeWasting · 20/07/2011 07:45

Morning! Freaky, that is exactly what happened with the pots last night. Grin

Nail-biters, have you tried that vile-tasting stuff you can get to paint on them?

I want to get as much done early as poss today, it worked on Monday, so -

  • fold dry washing
  • put load of washing in
  • dry pots
  • clean sink
  • wash pots
  • wipe sides
  • clean bathroom

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 21/07/2011 12:13

Hello ladies :)

Dreadful night's sleep last night. Didn't get DS2 settled until gone midnight, and then DS1 was awake with a bad dream and in our bed at 3.45am Hmm He didn't go back in his own bed until almost 6am and did sleep until 9, but DS2 had woken for a feed at 5.15 and then again at 8am. Matchsticks needed here today!!

TimeWasting · 21/07/2011 19:33

Well we've been out, we're fed and DS is in bed. That is all I can say about today's list. Blush Grin

AnonymousBird · 21/07/2011 19:46

Wasting - not dissimilar.

Started with good intentions, all up and dressed and breakfasted in reasonable time (considering it is the holidays!) then headed into town for haircuts.... bumped into our best friends unexpectedly and spent the rest of a very lovely day messing around with them!!!! Best laid plans and all that...

So I too am Blush and Grin and maybe a little Wink as we had a lovely unplanned time which felt a bit cheeky but what the hell.

Freaki - I am going to Boots tomorrow, I may try some of that horrid stuff again, though agree, you taste it everywhere - and eating is indeed a challenge. My mum used it on me as a child and I can still remember the taste... but I was so determined to bite my nails I suffered through the dreadful taste!!!! Maybe I will be better deterred now at my ripe old age!

Oi Ali remember I want photos of cakeGrin

I keep dropping off here and then can't find you all, anyway no cakes for 2 weeks so I need to catch up aon alot of cleaning/laundary

Had a horrible stomach bug at start of week I caught from my niece thankfully no one else got it, but my tummy is still fragile but has kick started abit of weight loss

Anon brilliant that you love your new house,
my rant today is we have a rally happening on our lane and they prefer us to stay in which I don't mind, BUT I told my mum not to call and really needed to go get things done that I have put off until tomorrow, for the rally people to take a 2 hour break!!! Last year they gave us a timetable, this year they didn't give us anything!

Anyway waves to everyone hope you are all well

Right
Lunch
laundary
mop kitchen floor
