Africa Waterhole Web Cam

My ds1 (8) is doing "Africa" as a topic at school this term (and loving it).

His teacher gave him the address of this website which is a webcam at a waterhole in Botswana. He loves watching it and seeing the animals.

PS Don't check just now though as the cameras are offline and not working for some reason! Check later in the day - after school is a good time.

What are the little birds? are they some sort of ostrich thing (I'm SO up on my African wildlife!! )

There ias a species list with photos and video that will tell you

Still can't work it out - they all seem too big or too small on the species list!

Oh no!! Missed the croc again!!! Mind you don't think I could've taken him swimming around behind Puumba!

It says on the list that crocs are 'highly unlikely'!

Well there's definately one sitting on the bank over to the left side when they pan round!!

Anyone having trouble with the pic keep pixelating or is it just my pc? What's that thing in the water at the mo??

Oh! There's an elephant lying in the water playing with its trunk! It's so sweet!

i have just seen zebras going to the water drinking
