DD has come out of all the interviews feeling like they've gone similarly well. But was least confident about Leeds because they have the worst interview to offer ratio of anywhere she's applied. Guess that might also be the case for your DD

Rejection here for Leeds too, Two rejections in two days has been brutal. Really brings home just how competitive it is, it’s just amazingly talented and hard working teens against other amazingly talented and hard working teens.

Actually Liverpool has worse post interview offer odds than Leeds. Makes me wonder if I've advised her well at all.

DD got pre interview rejection from Plymouth dentistry today - their ucat cut off was 2,690 and she got 2,670. Think that’s the highest it has ever gone - got me thinking the dentistry applicants might be having an even more stressful time than the medics. Sorry to hear of the rejections coming through, we’re still waiting on the three she interviewed at and it’s getting tough but trying to keep occupied with other things. Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Yes he is waiting on two. Fingers and toes crossed for good news for all of our kids soon.

This bit is tough - DS in a bad mood because he discovered some candidates got immediate post interview (or a day later) offers from Birmingham so he’s decided as he hasn’t heard he will be rejected. I’ve told him he hasn’t been rejected yet. He had a tough week at school sitting additional mocks that were postponed for his interviews so just feeling a bit got at!

Fingers crossed for everyone, sounds like a tough week for lots of reasons.

DC has a Leeds offer, delighted as this was favourite. Waiting to hear post interview from two others and one pre-interview rejection (all this week )

Well done to all those whose kids got offers already. For the rest of us February will hopefully bring better news.

Congratulations on the Leeds offer @CopingHagen its good hear some positive news. And I hope this will spread to us all.
DD has her last interview this week, we will all be glad once it’s done. She seems to be less enthused with each one 😫so we haven’t really pushed for feedback

Really praying in agreement with this

DD (now 2nd year) had a relatively normal year in 1st year and similar for this year (31 week term, so 4 weeks at Christmas and Easter, July, August and most of September off). She went travelling over 1st year summer (8 weeks or so in Asia - didn't do any work at all) so yes, they will have decent hols for the first couple of years. Her uni is quite good in that the exams are at the end of term, so whilst she does have to work / study at during Xmas / Easter, she doesn't have the pressure of exams immediately upon return, so she does get to chill a little. Think she only gets 4 weeks off per year from Yr 3 onwards.

Don't forget that they finish their A levels in early-ish June and won't start uni (if they don't defer) until late September / early Oct, so they'll have 3/4 months off at the end of A levels so that is some time to recuperate / rest.

Hoping this month brings lots of offers. Good luck to those still interviewing or waiting for outcomes. This has felt like such a long process.

We are just waiting for Glasgow here, DD not hopeful.

lovely to see your updates. Just wondered if anyone had been to the Liverpool interviews? We have DD’s tomorrow and I was wondering if there’s a parent talk like Leicester do. X

@JuMcGoo no parents talks at Liverpool that I was aware of. Was the quickest of his interviews though (about 1.5 hrs) so not too long to hang around.

DD had Liverpool interview last week. It’s pretty much drop and leave, no parent talk.
