@islaoo Lincoln and Notts run v separately so doubt she'll every go to N. They use different hospitals for placement. It's a beautiful city with plentiful accommodation. Huge congratulations!!🥂

We are still awaiting news from all our universities. DD in the middle of mocks, one of hers has started to offer and give rejections. Tough wait!

Congratulations @Honeylemonandginger and @islaoo dds! I think I would like to visit Lincoln - it's on my list of places to visit!
DS has had an offer today from Cardiff which is his favourite. It's a shame Birmingham was great but a higher offer than Cardiff.

DD has just received a 2026 deferred entry offer from SGUL, and waitlisted for 2025.
It’s not her first choice, but it’s her first offer. This has given her hope, as she waits for her other 3 options.
Seeing it as positive, as it’s not a rejection.

Heard of a few Nottingham offers coming out.

My son has been waitlisted after interview for Sheffield (bit odd - no offer, no rejection, contact us if things go better than expected for you on results day - predicted 4A*). We are quite pleased as we’d prefer DS to go to Birmingham. He’s ok about it - glad it didn’t happen until he had a couple of other offers he is philosophical about it.

DD also wait listed for Sheffield and holds 2 offers. She is likely to firm Birmingham too but will go to two offer holder days and then decide. Waiting for one more but has got both her top two choices and feels very lucky and still a bit shell shocked. After the interview process Sheffield was her least favourite so she doesn’t mind at all. DD is now studying hard for her A levels so she never has to sit the UCAT again! Good luck to all those waiting.

Not exactly sure how you improve on a predicted 4 A*, but hey ho. That's Sheffields loss and Birmingham's gain. Birmingham is a great university, - DS would have applied if he could (couple of 6s in GCSE didn't bode well).

How do Sheffield manage their offers/ rejections and what is the wait list - haven’t heard of that before? My DD is waiting to hear from Sheffield, no offers yet

My DS is still waiting to hear from sheffield too. He’s heard of people getting rejections but not heard about offers - fingers crossed for him and your DD that it means they are going to get an offer!

The implication seemed to be if people that accept a Sheffield offer then miss their grades they will offer to those with the required grades on the waitlist through clearing rather than dropping entry requirements? I guess they would want to have interviewed any applicants. Birmingham have given DS a AAA contextual offer if it’s his firm choice and he was wavering which was his favourite anyway so I think he’ll just accept the place that actually actively want him.

Let’s hope so. She’s resitting having missed grades last year - she had 4 interviews and three offers last year by end Jan but one rejection so far this year and nothing else. It’s so hard for them

That must be tough, DS has had two rejections so far so is already considering reapplying next year, so I really hope he gets an offer.
