Do you think that means they will finish offering soon as to give people time to arrange and come to offer days ?

I’m not sure but from reading previous year’s threads, I think Leicester will still be giving out offers. @mumsneedwine might be able to give a better answer. X

Thank you for the reply .

mumsneedwine · 16/02/2025 15:47

Not sure if Leicester all find but they'll have more than one offer holder day. But until you get a rejection you're still in the game 🤞

Miloarmadillo2 · 16/02/2025 18:06

I’m going along to the Birmingham offer day. My DH went with DS to an open day but I haven’t visited. DS did a mixture of going alone, with a parent or with friends to open days and interviews but I’d like to have a feel for anywhere that is a serious contender. There were separate itineraries for students and parents so they are expecting parents to attend. I’ll try not to be too embarrassing! His decision at the end of the day but I’d like to understand the pros and cons of each offer.

If it helps my DD is waiting on Leicester too. According to TSR (both last years thread and someone who’d called admissions) their batches of offers come out until March. DD is anxious though and thinks she messed up at least one interview station . They also have a waitlist and I saw people last year being offered from that until quite late.. would be nice if she had an offer by now but she’s concentrating on her epq and PE assessments over half term at least. Her other two, Plymouth and Lincoln, seem quite late to be making offers and haven’t started yet.

Thank you , it is just the wait and drip drip offers .

Thank you very much for the great advice on here. DS received a conditional offer Astar A A. Currently doing 4 subjects but no mention of the 4th subject in the offer. Can he drop the 4th subject or must he continue with the fourth subject. Any advice much appreciated.

Firstly, well done him! What great news! 👏 👏. Which Uni, can I ask? We're still waiting on QMUL. I would assume that he could drop the 4th? Someone wiser might know. Maybe @mumsneedwine could shed some light? Personally, I would check with the admissions team to be sure.

mumsneedwine · 17/02/2025 18:45

@onemorehurdle huge congratulations. Yes, he can drop the 4th if not needed BUT let UCAS know. Otherwise on results day his offer will not be confirmed as they will be waiting for the result of the 4th.

Just wanted to give a bit of hope to anybody whose DCs have come out of interviews feeling dejected and expecting to be declined thinking perhaps that they hadn’t gone as well as they had hoped. My DC received a very unexpected offer from Bristol (1st choice) yesterday after what they felt was a particularly disappointing interview. It was their 4th interview and despite feeling most prepared, came out feeling that it was their worst performance. So as previous contributors have wisely mentioned, you really don’t know until receiving that confirmation of rejection or offer. Hang on in there and best of luck to those waiting for news…this process really has been quite a learning curve!

mumsneedwine · 20/02/2025 20:54

@Sunshinefritters fantastic news. Well done !

OnePinkCat · 20/02/2025 20:56

Great news, great city and great university. He must be so pleased.

HGC2 · 20/02/2025 23:12

Well done!

That’s great well done - out of interest what was his UCAT seems impossibly high cut off my DD rejected pre interview with 2970

Mamadoes · 21/02/2025 06:30

Well done to all DC who've been coping with disappointment, going through interviews and receiving offers. They're already preparing being themselves to be exceptional and resilient young people. I feel very proud of all of them!

I was just wondering if anyone was still waiting to hear from anywhere? DD has had 2 interviews and 1 to come but still heard nothing from KCL. From her research on TSR others with lower stats than her have had interviews and received offers.

No news here, although only one of his chosen unis have started sending offers at all. The rest said it would be March so trying to forget about it for now 😩

Still waiting on one here but we were told mid March at interview

JuMcGoo · 21/02/2025 09:35

We’ve heard back from UEA and Leicester (offers 🙌🏻) but waiting on Liverpool and Manchester.

Justlikingit · 21/02/2025 09:53

We are still waiting here, for all 4.
Is anyone waiting for St. George’s?
@Sunshinefritters congratulations and well done to your DS, that’s an uplifting message

ipredictariot5 · 21/02/2025 12:11

Manchester and Sheffield here no sign anytime soon

Bongiwe · 21/02/2025 13:19

My daughter has heard from KCL and Edge Hill, but is still waiting to hear from Sheffield and Hull/York.

mumsneedwine · 21/02/2025 13:38

It's still early days. Most will be March. No news is still good news

WeCantGoOverIt · 21/02/2025 14:59

We have a full set now. But one prelim didn’t go very well so moving from one concern to another…
