University offers coming in?

Just for nosiness and due to excitement about DS’s application going in, wondered if we could have a thread with people sharing offers as they are received, during this early phase.

Has anyone had an offer yet? Who will be first?

And totally realise that most won’t have applied yet and won’t do so for months and that’s absolutely fine and more normal.

DDs went in on Friday and she had two offers that day and one on Monday so hope yours are just as quick.

Waiting on Loughborough and Durham now.

DD got an offer of A*AA from Leeds on Friday, then on Monday an email to say she was eligible for Access to Leeds, then on Tuesday they changed her offer to AAA, AAB if she firms. So the Access does seem to delay it a few days.

DD has interview offer in from Oxford today for E&M at first choice college, very excited. Only 18% interview rate and 5% get in.

Finally @Silkiefloof! My DD heard awhile ago about when the interviews would be but hasn't had the definite date and time, which is frustrating. Mock interview today with her school's sister school (so teachers unknown to her). She's almost as nervous as if it was the real thing!

Yes think E&M only start coming out today but we knew it would be late, infact we were expecting later from previous years. But waiting was getting long and with 18% interview rate you get nervous. Think they do the PPE first but that was only a few days before.

Mock has been done here but will need to have a think about real one as think it was just a generic mock from her school but went fine. She has lots of interview experience generally but it's the technical questions, not doing Economics A level.

Another offer this morning. Birmingham want AAB for Geography.

Thanks @daffodilandtulip, it went in late yesterday, acknowledgements from Leicester and Manchester so far..........DD is stressing now every time her email pings, it's so different from when I applied!!!!

We got an offer yesterday from Manchester, 1day after the application went in so hopefully it will be quick @TheOnlyMrsW

@TheOnlyMrsW I know! I don't remember being this stressed about getting into uni!

We've got a Loughborough interview!

My dd has an interview for Loughborough too - natural sciences. What course has your dd applied for.
Nowhere near the stress when I applied in 1985 - everything via Royal Mail and the personal statement was but a small box on the paper application form.

@ShanghaiDiva same! Main choices being chemistry and maths.

@daffodilandtulip - maths and biology here. Bath is DD’s number one choice, but not heard anything yet.

Ds got his second offer yesterday, Southampton. It's his fifth choice and a slightly different but interesting subject. It's AAB so a good choice if he were struggling nearer the deadline. Still waiting for Oxford, Imperial and Bath.

Ds has also just received a Bath offer for a STEM subject.

@Lightsabre - we are also waiting on Bath for STEM. Keeping our fingers crossed! Well done your ds!

I hope so. It's DS's first choice. He has Lancaster which is his alternate firm but Bath would be the cherry on the icing on the cake!

I liked everything about Bath and it was my firm favourite but ds seems to like Warwick a bit more. The accommodation at Warwick would be cheaper mind but Bath is such a lovely city and the prospects also seem good. It felt down to earth too and like you'd get a proper university experience. We loved Lancaster too but it's 5-6 hours away. Same for St Andrews.

DS is also looking to Bath as his firm choice, but offers won't be made until after January. It's going to feel like a long wait.

Excitement overload here as dd has received an offer from Bath for natural sciences.
