Following on from the Oxbridge rejects thread but I've got rid of those two words. I for one am interested to know where they all end up and when Durham might finally deign to reject/offer DS...

mongering (which must have been hugely stressful) seems everyone has done brilliantly. So delighted that there are so many kids and parents.

Can’t keep track on everyone so hugs if anyone has missed out (Step sounds horrendous but how awful to get so far and to so brilliantly in Alevels and then to miss out).

@Valleyofthedollymix @Stockpot @SayYouDontMind @Givenitarest and any other St A’s parents please shout if I can help with anything in the run up. You’ve got a lot to do in not much time (albeit we’ve not achieved everything including important stuff like course choices and payment schedules). Gown is bought for the pier walk though!

My DS too. Waiting eagerly for housing now. Hope he has got somewhere decent.

DD got AAB and an A on her EPQ so she's over the moon as am I. She got a contextual offer from York of 3 B's as she has dyslexia so has really smashed it, she was only diagnosed with it a year ago.

DS achieved 4 A stars - super proud of him! He’s confirmed his place at Durham and couldn’t be happier….Oxbridge and St Andrews rejections are long forgotten…

I'm a little envious of you all getting excited about the moves. DS1 didn't accept St As and Edinburgh offers, deciding to stay home at Glasgow. A great university and great course (Maths) but I really fancied him going away. It's far more common here to stay home, and he will have a ball, but I feel he might be missing out. Anyhoo, he'll be fine.

Gosh so pleased to see so many names here who have supported since those early days .. well done all ! I'm so glad our super DCs can finally close this chapter and on to the next.. feel like I've aged a decade ! Thank you all ... !!

@Eightytwenty totally in need of help. Have not the first clue what needs to be done - ds looked surprised when I said we needed to go shopping for stuff. We couldn’t even think about it for fear of jinxing it.

any handy hints or lists of what we need to do would be v gratefully received. Although am currently lounging by a Greek pool and won’t get my head around it until Monday. Want to find out what accommodation he’s got - anyone know when that’ll come?

Oh wow wow wow some absolutely SUPERB results here!! Well done one and all. Brag away everyone, it is not often we get to do it out loud and i am so proud of them all after being rejected. DD is so relieved she really had her heart set on bath and it makes me happy that she has achieved it.

Great news @Neolara ! DS needs to sort accommodation as missed the original deadline for various reasons.

Congratulations everyone. DS got A star, A star, A, B and is off to Bristol for an MSci in Physics - what a relief! The last few days haven't been a lot of fun...

@ladygrinningsoul I spoke to accommodation after realising he had managed to miss the deadline and she was very reassuring about them pretty much all being offered accommodation which was positive.

@Volterra that's good to hear, thank you!

@Volterra Any ideas when they get told their accommodation? Dd couldn't find.any info online.

@Neolara I don’t know I’m afraid, just that the accommodation portal reopens on 22nd.
