Following on from the Oxbridge rejects thread but I've got rid of those two words. I for one am interested to know where they all end up and when Durham might finally deign to reject/offer DS...

Phew, my son has his grades for Durham. And his friends seem to be happy too which is a relief for all the parents.

I was awake early feeling nervous, my son and husband slept happily until their alarms went off. Hmmm!

DS onto Bath - don't know grades yet - on motorway and will have them sometime after 10.

DS has 4 A stars and is off to Exeter, a massive SUCK IT OXFORD if that wasn't enough for you

He has two lovely friends also going to Exeter so it's all good and he's happy.

DS got 3 A stars and an A and is off to UCL! So happy and relieved! He was really unsure in the last week or so after all the gloomy reports, especially for his FM paper. Grade boundaries were low for that one!

May I brag a bit on here about his achievement? I promise I never go on about this on social media or in real life. May out me but I will name change and it is not like I am saying anything very controversial! We are an internationally mobile family and only moved to the UK in 2020 at the height of the pandemic. DS had to get used to a new country, a new school, new friends, new academic system, and a pandemic! It was a real risk, but I had faith in him, and he was very keen on a British education. I am so proud of all he has done in only 2 years.

Gosh, posted too soon.. Congratulations to you all! @TangoWhiskyAlphaTango I hope this makes up for your awful summer.

Late joiner here - DS missed out on Cambridge because of the dreaded STEP and is off to Bath.

Lastly lovely Stockpot - our clever but dippy kids are in tandem yet again. DS got the same grades as yours so will be seeing her at the St A geography department. And the accommodation and trains I’ve booked for the first weekend of September (yikes!) won’t go to waste.
