Following on from comment on last thread someone made about not wanting their kids to get into debt to the tune of £15k studying English, just to end up doing someone's admin for the next 30 years.

DH studied History and is a Lawyer

I studied Law and I am in IT

Go figure!

oh..dh...doesn't have any qualifications passed gcse's he is self employed as a gearbox technician.

Me: classics and french - now a writer (in English!)

French and European Business Studies degree then Cert TEFL. Taught EFL for a while then slid around doing all sorts wondering what I was going to do when I grew up. Now work for a large teaching hospital doing patient & public involvement.

Degree in Politics (well actually called Government - i think ) then worked for Camden Council in Parking - then RBKC as Public Transport Officer - nearly finished my masters in Transport Planning then had baby so now I need to write a dissertation to be a MSc but do have a PGDip so will probably go back to transport planning with all the wierdy beardy men when I go back to work evetually!

Electrical engineering, worked in the industry for 2 years then started own business - which went tits up (can you say that on MN?)after 3 months! Have been running various business ever since.

Would find it very hard to wear a tie and suit to work now!

Graduated 20 years ago but I still have the dream where I panic about starting Finals revision too late!

Fellow grads in EE now all work in IT or city. Manufacturing in the UK has been in decline ever since I graduated.

BSc in Psychology, MSc in Health Psychology, diploma in health and safety - now SAHM with high level of proficiency in drawing luminous hedgehogs - don't ask!!

I was wondering if he knew of any decent websites about Graphic Design Modernists. I have to chose an image to analyse and i'm finding it really difficult
to source information.

Me - Environmental Science and then a PGCE but quickly decided teaching wasn't for me!! - now an Information Officer for our LEA and really want a change of scene before I'm 40 (3 years and counting -aggh!)

DH - Geography now works in IT - at least it means we never get lost when we are out as he can map read which is more than I can!!!
